In the office, he had excellent bedside manner, answered all my questions, did a detailed ultrasound at almost every visit, and was overall a great doctor. I felt reassured going into my first delivery, which I was honestly very terrified of. The issues started a week before my due date. He did a manual cervical exam per him to check how dilated I was, and I am pretty sure he did a cervical sweep without my consent because it was extremely painful and it lifted me off the bed. It did not feel like a typical cervical exam to check for dilation. I started leaking clear fluid for the week after, and I called his office. The medical professional who responded said it was normal. I went in for my near-40 week visit, and the fluid around my baby had nearly disappeared (had gone from higher normal to extremely low) in one week which I believe was from his cervical sweep that he did without my consent. I went to go get induced, and he was on call that night. I thought it was lucky, but looking back I wish it was any other doctor but him. When it was time for my baby to be delivered, he arrived yawning and visibly annoyed, upset that he had been called in too soon. I was 18-20 hours into my labor, and was exhausted. I could see him eye rolling as I tried to push, as I guess I wasn't pushing hard enough? I still don't see any excuse for his unprofessional behavior at that time. The more important issue that was terrifying was my baby's heart rate would drop to undetectable on the monitor with every contraction when he was near crowning. The nurses were getting scared and asked if they should call the NICU. He rolled his eyes AGAIN and said no, and seemed bored of the whole situation. This dropping heart rate kept happening for 30 minutes with my contractions. Finally, my baby arrived, with his cord wrapped around his neck (which I think was getting compressed with each contraction and causing his heart rate to drop). Dr Matsuda looked at me after realizing the issue and gave some lame excuse about it. I developed a fever afterwards (got no treatment or tests done), and thinking back, I'm so grateful my child didn't develop an infection from my likely ruptured sac. I could tell it was on his mind bc he was examining the amniotic fluid and reassuring everyone including me that it looked clear and no sign of infection. Overall, great bedside manner IN the office, TERRIBLE and actually traumatizing if he's on call and being woken up at night. Perhaps go with him if this is not your first delivery and you have an uncomplicated delivery expected. Otherwise go elsewhere to another doctor that will treat you with more caution and care than he did me or my baby.

His attentiveness, thoroughness, and genuine concern for his patients continue to set him apart. I've noticed several recent reviews mentioning the $300 annual administrative fee, which is not covered by insurance. It's true the fee is in addition to what your insurance may reimburse. Over the past few years, more medical practices have adopted administrative or concierge-style fees to offset the growing gap between insurance reimbursements and the actual cost of providing quality care. While no one enjoys paying extra, I personally find the fee justifiable given the continuity, trust, and high standard of care I've experienced with Dr. Matsuda. This isn't about greed, but sustainability. Insurance companies negotiate lower reimbursement rates for routine visits, and those adjustments rarely reflect the true cost of running a practice. In my view, this fee reflects the unfortunate reality of our healthcare system, not the character of this practice. Dr. Matsuda has always treated me with respect and compassion. I value the long-term relationship we've built. At the end of the day, a medical practice is also a business, and maintaining excellence requires resources. If you're looking for a provider who truly listens, remembers your history, and treats you as a whole person, Dr. Matsuda is worth it.

Dr. Li is the best doctor I've ever come across. He truly cares about his patients and really was…read morethe perfect doctor. He doesn't overtreat or undertreat, but really is balanced and gives you all the information when making decisions, as well as being amazingly skilled in his work and techniques. When I was indecisive, he took his time with me until I felt confident and informed in my decisions. His office staff is also wonderful, the nurse there is so caring and makes you feel so comfortable. I looked forward to coming to Dr. Li's office every time. Everything his reviews, about his saving people's lives are true, and he is definitely the person I want in charge of my care in an emergency. During my pregnancy, there were some stressful situations (bleeding), and each time Dr. Li was so attentive to everything going on and really took the time to make sure the baby and I were ok. He did everything he possibly could and each time I left feeling at ease after talking with him. He also thoroughly explained everything to me. The physician he refers to for the anatomy scan ultrasounds is also one of the best around. Basically, you're in incredible hands, from start to finish, when you come to Dr. Li. I did have an emergency situation in which I opted for a c section, and am so thankful that Dr. Li was my physician for it. I cannot imagine my recovery going anymore smoothly, and the procedure was quick, the baby was out in minutes and healthy. He is so incredibly skilled, which really matters when it comes to how the patient heals. You can tell he is so experienced as well. He's really funny and his demeanor always calmed me, when nothing else could. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Li, and feel truly blessed to have found him and trust him immensely with my, and my baby's, care.

DO NOT GO TO DR. LI! Not only is he clinically incompetent but he's extremely unprofessional. Dr…read more Li would joke about NOT hearing a fetal heart beat at my third trimester appointments. He also once commented on me being "pretty." My husband is a physician at Huntington Hospital. He started working there about a month before I delivered. When he asked other physicians about Dr. Li, they did not have the best things to say about him. Because we found this out just a few weeks before my delivery, it was too late to change OBs. However, once I was admitted to Huntington Hospital when I went into labor I ended up essentially firing Dr. Li and having the on-call OB deliver my baby. I did not feel comfortable having Dr. Li deliver my child. The L&D nurses also intimated that they themselves would not want Dr. Li delivering their baby. When both nurses and physicians have negative things to say about a provider, heed their warning and do not get care from said provider. Additionally, his office was extremely unorganized and rude. OBs through Huntington are supposed to have medical records on an electronic system. This is so that in the event of a precipitous delivery the on-call OB can access your history through the electronic record and therefore deliver you safely. Dr. Li was not compliant with this. All of his patient charts were paper. When I called to get hard copies of my patient information just prior to my due date, the secretary told me that I could not! My husband then got on the phone to explain how this was illegal. The secretary then hung up on my husband!!!! My husband and I ended up having to go to the office to pick up hard copies of my patient chart. In addition to this, the office repeatedly made errors with the paperwork for my private short-term disability insurance and disability through the state. Unfortunately, I had to follow up with Dr. Li for my 6 week postpartum check-up so he could close out my claim with the state. His ego was so bruised that he initially refused to perform the standard 6-week postpartum exam. He claimed that if I "fired him" for the delivery than he wasn't sure if I "rehired" him for the exam. I showed up for my appointment...I very obviously wanted him to do an exam...I also asked him for a pelvic PT referral because I was having stress incontinence. He gave me contacts for cosmetic gynecologists and an oncologic gynecologist. This was completely inappropriate as I needed help from a pelvic physical therapist to promote healing to my pelvic organs. I didn't have cancer in my gynecologic organs nor did I want gynecological cosmetic work. Other examples of his TERRIBLE bedside manner was him telling me how all of his partners have died because of how old he himself is (he's probably either late 70s or early 80s), being very evasive when you ask medical questions, not explaining anything that he does to you, and miscalculating my baby's predicted birthweight by 50%! He said she'd be around 8.5 lb, and she ended up coming out 6 lb. It's understandable to be off by 1 lb or so but to overestimate by almost 50% reflects his incompetence. It also makes a huge difference in terms of your delivery. Babies projected to be larger than 9 lb are often delivered via c-section. He also told me that because of my pelvic anatomy I would have a very long labor. I ended up pushing for 30 minutes. Nearly everything this man told me was wrong. Huntington is a great hospital with great physicians. Dr. Li is not of them.

She is approachable, warm, friendly, and knowledgeable. I have absolute faith and confidence in her care. I came to her for the first time a couple of years ago after a bad experience with another OBGYN at the clinic. As such, I was somewhat wary. I am happy to report that I had nothing to fear. Dr. Shah made me and continues to make me feel comfortable in her presence. She takes the time to talk with and discuss my issues and concerns. Also, pap smears are generally uncomfortable, but Dr. Shah is one of the best at helping to minimize the pain and discomfort, even reminding me how to breathe through it. She's also very good at describing what she is doing in detail so that you are never left wondering. I did have to wait almost one hour to see her today, but I fault the clinic workload and appointment demand (possibly overbooking) more than her. It clearly seems that she is doing her best and trying to work as efficiently as possible. I cannot recommend Dr. Shah highly enough, and I am grateful to be under her care.

At the end, when she asked if I had any other questions, I respectfully asked to know a little more about her background so I could feel confident and connected with my provider. She responded with visible irritation, asked why I wanted to know that, and only shared a few bullet points about her education - then told me to check the hospital website for more information. I left feeling dismissed and uncomfortable moving forward. If you're someone who values warmth, communication, and connection with your OB, she may not be the right fit for you.

Dr. Park continued to be patient, monitoring my baby and me everyday, not forcing me to be induced. Fortunately a week later, I was finally getting contractions and admitted. My labor from the time I reached the hospital to delivery was over 20 hours. During that time, Dr. Park was actively engaged with the onsite medical staff, monitoring my progress, and calling to check in on us in the middle of the night. While other doctor's may have pushed for a C section to get me out of there, Dr. Park understood my birth plan and remained patient. Finally I was dilated enough, pushed for only an hour, and Dr. Park was there to deliver my baby. I always felt safe, cared for, and listened to by Dr. Park. I truly felt she was my advocate throughout my pregnancy. Postpartum, I had more follow up questions before my 6-week check in (your body does weird things to get ready for breastfeeding), and Dr. Park was responsive through email. Thank you again, Dr. Park!

At first I was hesitant to have a male OBGYN but since my prior experience with a female OBGYN didn't go very well I decided to give it a try. Dr Alijore is very professional and kind. He has a very gentile demeanor and a funny sense of humor. He also has an excellent memory. One of the nurses stays in the room during the exam. Dr Alijore takes the time to listen to your needs/concerns and addresses them. I've been coming here for over 10 years and am very happy I made the switch.

He gave me one of the most PAINFUL pelvic exams I've ever experienced, and did not even see the problem that I was there for. I had to see my GP and Dr. Jick the following day because he said there was nothing wrong but I was still in extreme discomfort. I had to be immediately be put on doxycycline and metro gel for two terrible infections. No sure how he missed this. I would NOT recommend this doctor to any single young women. There was no pain at all and i walked home from my appt. I had already decided on the copper IUD before my appt with her and she asked a few questions and agreed it was a good choice for me. She didn't question my choice or make me feel dumb for trying to inform myself as some drs with ego will do. I did have concerns about my libido and asked her opinion and was concerned my hormones may be out of whack. She quickly talked trash about any forms of non-western medicine and how she's sure I could find someone willing to agree that my hormones were out of whack, however since me periods were very regular she was sure everything was fine. I will say I definitely would not chose her for my births as she very matter of fact and not super warm. However I don't plan on having any more kids so I think it's a good fit.

Absolute circus of an operation…read more After waiting eight weeks for this appointment, I showed up to find a sign telling me to go across the street to their "new" office. I get there- no office. Turns out they've actually moved over 30 minutes away. When I called, I was met with a laundry list of excuses about why they hadn't updated their address online (which takes all of two minutes on Google). They claimed they "texted" the new location. No, they did not. They only sent a suite number, not a new address. So after wasting my time, gas, and an entire afternoon from work, I was told I'd have to wait several more weeks for another appointment because I "missed" mine. Unreal. If this is how they handle something as basic as communicating an address, I can't imagine trusting them with anything more important. Completely unprofessional and disorganized. Save yourself the headache, there are plenty of offices that actually respect their patients' time.
