I went in to shop for carpets. I was hoping for some advice about the merits of various kinds and also prices. The sales clerk was polite enough but seemed to know almost nothing about carpets, the comparison of synthetic vs wool, the difference between wool carpets that cost $40 per yard and those that cost $80 per yard. Getting him to find the price of any carpet at all sent him to the computer for a good 10 minutes. This did not inspire confidence. read more

Michael Renga and his team at Michael Renga Flooring made us very happy with their installation of new floors at our Santa Barbara home. The Renga team made it easy and painless to select a flooring type. We were scheduled quickly, nothing was back ordered, and they took good care of our home during the installation. Our entire first floor was done in a week. We had some challenging circumstances: a big crack in the existing tile floor and some poor work done previously. They took care to level the floor without the need for us to call in a contractor. Very happy with our new wood floors! Highly recommend. read more

Renga Flooring helped our dingy rental look like a million-dollar home. Nico was super helpful/kind and assisted me through the whole process even though I had many questions. Their showroom is huge and has a great variety of hardwood and LVP flooring. They work with your budget and think through everything you need to order from them. You can order just the material and even have them do the installation. You can rest assured that Renga Flooring will take good care of you. read more

Renga Flooring did a great job closely matching existing flooring that was discontinued. They were flexible with materials, and patient with some back and forth on aspects of the job. Very professional team. They cut no corners and it shows in their work. Despite challenges with differing heights they made it all flush and seamless. Very impressed by the precision. Final total was on target with their fair price quoted before work began. And they were responsive, attentive, and acted according to plan. read more

Approached Renga Flooring to install gym flooring in a training studio. Really friendly while providing great customer service. But what really stood out was their handling of my order when covid's impact appeared a day before my expected delivery date. The company manufacturing my special order went silent and left me uncertain about when I could open my new business location. Thanks to Mike and his teams quick actions an alternative flooring was secured and the special order cancelled. My installation date never changed and the flooring looks great! read more

Michael Renga Flooring - a gym equipment in a gym - Flooring Near Me - Santa Barbara, California

Our Property Management company has been using Michael Renga Flooring for over two years, and we will continue to rely on his services for all future endeavors. From the moment we contacted Mike, he displayed the highest level of customer service and professionalism. His genuine and honest approach coupled with an enthusiasm for his craft put us at ease and set the foundation for a lasting business relationship. Mike met us at our apartment complex for a complimentary on-site bid where his use of technology proved to be incredibly efficient and accurate. I have worked with several flooring vendors in the past and Mike's use of technology in assessing our needs is indicative of his commitment to his profession and continued education in the use of cutting edge equipment. Mike provided many different samples for us to choose from and gave detailed explanations of the specs for each flooring option. Not only have we contracted them for over fifty carpet and vinyl replacements for apartment turnovers, but also for the hardwood-style flooring upgrade in our private residence. We absolutely love the sandy-colored laminate that we chose - it is the perfect look for living close to the beach! The Renga workmen crew is exemplary, second to none. Dennis, the lead flooring installer, and his crew are punctual, very professional, and considerate of our properties. Their diligence, attention to detail and teamwork are a recipe for superior work. Our units, our homes, are treated with the utmost care and their candor and promptness in notifying me with any challenges / issues is greatly appreciated. Dennis and Cesear's level of service transcends all others and I hope that they remain with the Renga team for the years to come! Overall, I have had a wonderful experience working with Renga Flooring. It is often difficult to find trustworthy and dependable flooring companies who stand behind their quality work. They continue to exceed my expectations. I appreciate all of their hard work and look forward to working with them when turnover season arrives again next summer. read more

This is the second time I have her Renga flooring install new flooring at my home. The first time was 8 years ago and they did an unbelievable job with hardwood floors across 2000 sq feet of my home. Such a good job that as soon as we moved, they are the first group I called to do a custom laminate floor in my garage. I can't say enough good things about their professionalism, their attention to detail, and the quality of the work. Nico and Mike Jr. did a survey, then made refs regarding my best options. Then prepared an estimate which they pretty much stuck to, a lot more than I can say for several other contractors I have worked with. They did an amazing job on my flooring, their installation crew was considerate, neat, and left my garage looking better than when they arrived. Not only did they install an amazing floor, but they were kind enough to help remove and haul away a whole collection of cabinets I no longer wanted, all at no additional cost. And to top all this off, the cost of the job was completely reasonable. Don't hesitate to call Renga Flooring for any flooring requests, their showroom is awesome, it is a family business that they all take pride in, and it shows. I am a very satisfied customer and will use them again without hesitation. Phil Santa Barbara read more

I was quite impressed with Michael Renga and his entire team team, and I found everyone to be extremely helpful, friendly, and professional. Michael especially went above and beyond on a regular basis. I could tell early on that he took the sort of pride in my project that has become all too rare these days, and he truly cared about me as a client. I will be back to Renga for my next project without a doubt. read more

It saddens me to see the reviews posted for Renga Flooring. I know people have issues, but Renga has been amazing. Not only to me, but others in the community. I hope those who have been customers share their experiences because they are not deserving of a 1 star. (PS..the contract issue in the 2012 review is null and incorrect. The customer is clearly mistaken). My experience with Renga was more than wonderful! I'm renovating a condo I'm returning to after a year and out of all the people I contracted with, Renga was seamless, professional, and amazingly kind. I've used other carpet companies in town but now that I've experienced Renga, I won't go anywhere else. read more

Never got a call back or a visit after calling many times to get a hold of someone. The guy must have enough business - so good for him.

Wanted to add another review for Renga Flooring. Michael worked with us from start to finish and made sure that we were taken care of. Their pricing is great and their quality was top notch. Dennis their lead installer made sure I was informed on what the process was and ensuring that the finished just that we envisioned it. I wanted to re-post because the carpets were installed now and again they did not disappoint. here are some pictures of how great it all looks! They look so great 2 of our 4 apartments rented before we finished construction but right after the flooring was put in. Super friendly & helpful staff. Haven't had a chance to get service done yet so review simply on customer service.

They came out and looked at the work, coved linoleum in 3 rooms, and returned a contract that had a price that was acceptable. The contract required, however, that we waive important rights intended to protect consumers. For example, Renga required a 50% advance payment, which is a clear violation of state law which caps pre-work payments at 10%. In addiition, their contract requires their customers to waive the federal chargeback rights that belong to everyone who uses a credit card. This is also illegal. When I asked that the contract be revised, they quickly returned an email stating that they were rescinding their offer to do the work. Maybe they do not want customers who know their rights. In our case, someone else is getting the work. read more

Mike Renga is fantastic to work with. Not only did he have a huge selection to pick from, he was very imformative throughout the process and took the time to discuss things in detail with me. His team came in and redid all my wood flooring (including changing out the stairs from carpet to wood), and installed new carpet for me in a week. I felt very comfortable letting his crew be in my home while I was at work, and they were very respectful and clean. I've done quite a few home improvement/remodel projects over the last few years and Renga was the easiest, most pleasant contractor I've hired to date. I would absolutely recommend them! read more

We walked in to Mike Renga's flooring store to look for carpeting for our home after trying one of the big box stores. Mike took time with us to explain the different grades of carpet, and he gave us samples to take home. It was so easy! Within just a few days he came to our house to measure, then came right back with a very reasonable quote. Our carpet was installed shortly afterwards and we couldn't be more pleased with the color and quality and the professional installation. Dennis, his lead installer, really knows his stuff. We would definitely recommend Mike Renga because of the personal assistance, competitive price, short wait time, professional installation, and quality product. read more
