Very patient and listened to our concerns. Virtual appt was still adequate for the consult.

I am so very saddened to read this negative review about Dr. Anjali Chanana because this doctor…read morehelped me and saved my life when I wasn't even her regular patient. It happened that I met her late in the evening when she was sitting in a Starbucks typing and looking very tired. Since I was an old ladyeven then, I smiled at her and said,"Wow you look like you're very overworked." She smiled back at me and told me that she was a doctor, and that she never stopped working until she had answered all of the patients who had emailed her that day. We became friends. I was invited to her home for diner. She has a lovely family, too bright nice well-behaved sons. I actually ended up babysitting for them a few times. Dr. Chanana is a wonderful person, kind and loving and caring, reliable, responsible, and really, really smart. We talked about what she could do to be a good doctor without being so worn out and I suggested she find a way to be a half or three-quarter time doctor. I think she has a full day schedule all these years later. She decided to go to Kaiser because it would allow her time to see all of her patients and then make sure that all her paperwork was done before she went home to her family. The last few days she was at her previous practice, she told me to come into her office during her lunch hour since she knew that I was having some health problems. She not only worked through her lunch hour for me she worked through the following time that I had my scheduled appointment. That was a long time to really try to understand me. She prescribed medication which ended up saving my life because I had a high blood pressure problem that had been untreated by my regular primary care doctor. It was also wonderful to feel like I was being emotionally, supported and respected. I was sorry for myself to see her go to Kaiser, but happy for the patients who would have the benefit of being cared for by her. I know that Anjali is a wonderful Doctor who truly cares for other human beings, and does her best to help all patients who come into her office. I myself don't have Kaiser but if I did, she would be the person I would want on my team because I would Trust her. And trust is the biggest deal when we have serious medical problems. I am specifically writing this review because while looking for a Kaiser doctor for a friend, I saw ugly reviews about Dr. Chanana that I don't believe. They are just too out of character for her. We all know that sometimes people write bad reviews, which may or may not be true because they didn't get what they wanted like a refill of a prescription or unnecessary services, or we just may be having a bad day. It is very unfortunate For patients who really need a doctor like Anjali to not benefit from her care because of the very questionable reviews people put on social media. I acknowledge that some negative reviews are true. It's just that from my personal experience the ones I am reading about this doctor cannot possibly be true. Interestingly, those reviews are very old and people like me who are old and frail mostly don't have time to write extensive reviews that are wonderful. But I do because it makes me feel good to say thank you to doctors and others who have helped me. So if you need a doctor check her out for yourself and make your own decision. Sincerely, Leslie Billings, Sacramento, California, Alive for the last 10 years because of Dr. Anjali Chanana
