I was treated by the attending physician, Dr. Andrew Amack. symptoms related to Syndrome a condition I have managed for over 20 years. Because I am intimately familiar with how my body responds to this condition, I attempted to advocate for myself by sharing which medications have historically been effective in stopping the vomiting cycle. In response, Dr. Amack was dismissive and openly hostile. He told me, "Just because you ---------doesn't mean that you can come into my ER and demand the medication that works best for you." I found this comment to be unprofessional, biased, and a direct violation of my right to be treated with respect and dignity. Specifically, I am concerned about the following: * Bias and Stigma: His comments regarding my condition felt like a moral judgment rather than a clinical assessment, leading to a breakdown in the doctor-patient relationship. * Dismissal of Patient History: Despite my 20-year history with this condition, my expertise regarding my own health was treated as an "interference" rather than valuable clinical information. * Unprofessional Conduct: Referring to the department as "his ER" while speaking down to a patient in distress is unacceptable bedside manner. I am requesting that this complaint be added to Dr. Amack's personnel file and reviewed by the Chief of Staff or the ER Medical Director. I would also like a written response outlining how this matter will be addressed to ensure other patients with chronic conditions are not met with similar hostility. Sincerely,

I was there on time for the 9 of the 11 appointments that I made. They counted me as totally absent for 2 full appointments. They said another absence and I get kicked off the platform....wow I made an appointment for a followup after an emergency room visit when a doctor and nurse confirmed an upper rib Crack and another rib below my heart that had been contused from coughing from "alleged" covid... Mind you I carefully planned out this day off from work 2 WEEKS ahead of time because I knew the visit was going to take plenty of time to pinpoint the causation of my problem. Also I knew they were backed up from covid. I proceeded to get a call THE MORNING OF my appointment at 8am to tell me that my Dr. Appointment would be over the phone, they called me at 8AM!! (before work hours) to tell me that my appointment would be held over t7he internet. I then over the phone when they called me...asked the team if they needed an xray; and they said the doctor would have to make the call. My appointment was 5 and a half hours later after they had contacted me the DAY OF after I had cleared my work schedule. Had I known they would do this, I could have had a Dr. Interview during my lunch break. I'm waiting to hear anything on my phone...at 2pm for a text or a call or anything from my doctor to contact me on tenterhooks, and the assistant calls me 1 hour late and is like "She's going to be an hour or maybe more late getting to you What?? After all that berating me for being 5 minites late to 1 appointment?? Fine. The doctor eventually goes ahead and tells me yeah, you spend 2 times in the emergency room and the xrays looked MUCH worse the second time, possibly due to a "Virus" She DOES NOT PRESCRIBE ME PAIN MEDS FOR IT. I had a blood test In the emergency room proving my abstinence from weed and drugs... my primary care doctor sends me to the to the urgency unit near the mall to get tested for covid. The primary care unit failed to send me the recommendation of my primary care Dr. through to urgency. The urancy unit has to look it up later because the primary care team never sent the recommendation like they said they would... The urgency care gave me a covid test...FALSE. I have no history of drug use and no actual use of drugs. They took an xray of me finally for a healing rib fracture...but they can't see the rib contusion, but know its there....they gave me fucking TYLONOL! After that, sent me home with a muscle relaxer and Motrin. The muscle relaxer was denied by my insurance. I am In pain 3 weeks later and had to take leave from Amazon because of chest pain.

No body knows anything or knows how to figure out how to get any answers. You call the only number available and immediately redirected to a voicemail. Everyone is ducking what they're supposed to be doing. They pass you through every unnecessary thing to rack up your bill. At no point is anything explained or questions answered. There are more armed security walking around than nurses or office staff. There's elderly curled up in chairs for over 3 hours and still counting. If your expectation to feel care, you feel the same amount of empathy at an airport. At the end of everything being told to get there immediately for an emergency surgery. I was charged over $600 for a 5 hour wait, my temperature, vitals taken, blood, urine and told to follow up with a different doctor the next day. Theres patients in hallways on gurnies. I heard one man pleading with a nurse for another patient. Explaining hes in bad shape just pleasd help him. Not one nurse looked at his face. Just spewed the same response they all repeat, like a soulless answering machine. Cold with absolutely no actions taken or care given. I will personally bleed out before I go to these people for anything, let alone my health in their care. Couldn't pay me to go.

Both the lady and male security guards went out of their way to locate my grandma's cane we had left a month prior. The nurses (Kaitlyn in med surge) and Carmie (CNA) at her most recent hospitalization were thorough with both managing her care, but also sharing her discharge information. I really appreciated the encouraging words from them as well. I can't speak on much of the doctors themselves, but my grandma's alive and doing well so I'd say that's been good. My only complaints are: the small ED lobby that feels like a bubble of germs with the circle of seats to cough onto each other. The lack of communication with wait times in between information given once you're in a room in the ED... and bedside with some ER doctors. But that's par the course for most hospitals.
