I am now 6 years post-surgery and I'm not sure what went wrong. Dr. Yoo did explain to me that he couldn't guarantee the issue would be 100% fixed or that the issue wouldn't recur. However, he did do a turbinate reduction and a week after surgery I was hospitalized for complication with my antibiotics and CT scans showed that I still had an enlarged concha bullosa and a deviated septum. It has grown more severe over the years so I am not sure if the nasal tip was insufficiently supported or if the surgery wasn't aggressive enough for my case? My breathing is pretty much back to square one where I have a large obstruction on one side and a deviated septum with valve collapse on the same side. Then again, I knew the risks going in and consented to this possibility. I had a consultation with Dr. Yoo that I ultimately found very disappointing. From the beginning, the interaction did not feel very collaborative or thorough for a cosmetic surgery consultation. What stood out most was that I was not asked any questions about my goals, concerns, or preferences. I expected a more guided conversation where the surgeon would take time to understand what I was looking for, but instead I felt like I had to lead the discussion myself. During the consultation, I was often met with brief responses and frequent transitions to "any more questions" immediately after answering, which made it difficult to fully process the information being shared. I recently had gotten lip filler from Dr. Yoo and there is an air bubble-like pocket of superficially placed filler on one side of my lower lip. I had to research what had occurred in order to realize that it was not swelling, but however really poorly placed lip filler. After paying over 1k for both the consultation and procedure all my expectations were terribly unmet. He gave a poor experience, not clearly addressing the desired outcome, and did not give any instructions for aftercare. After the procedure was done he basically just said "you can do whatever you want" when I asked what to do for any aftercare. I left the clinic with blood still smeared all over my lips. I highly regret paying over $1k just to receive poorly placed filler and a poor experienced when I know I could have gotten a much better result for half the price at a medspa. read more

I made sure to call this office ahead of time to ask for a pricing range for a specific surgery I was interested in before booking a consult with Dr. Yoo. I went ahead with the consult less than a week after calling in and was honestly ready to schedule and move forward. But the experience with the front desk completely changed that. Right after the consult, and just a few days after being given a price range over the phone, I followed up to get the official quote and pay for the surgery. That's when I was told the price had gone up $3,000 above the highest end of the range I was originally given. I asked to speak with an office manager to understand what happened and was told she was "too busy" to speak with me. I called and emailed multiple times over the course of two weeks and didn't hear anything back until today. Still, I wasn't able to speak with a manager, they wouldn't honor the original price range, and no refund was offered for the consult. I was also told this is their only line of communication, even after surgery, which made me really uncomfortable. If something came up post-op and I needed help, I can't imagine waiting two weeks for a response. I went in for a breast explant consultation and he does not have a good bedside manner; he didn't even knock before coming into my room. He does not follow best practice for explants and wouldn't do an En Bloc removal and clearly wasn't confident in his ability with this type of reconstruction. I got chin & jawline submental liposuction and earlobe reconstruction done by Dr. Yoo. Happy to report that I am still very happy with my results (4.5 months later)! I highly recommend Dr. Yoo! My initial consultation was for my earlobe and chin. My earlobe was stretched out from wearing heavy earrings over time (never wore gauges though). I had been contemplating on getting a tummy tuck with liposuction for a couple of years and I had gained weight and when I set up my consultation with him I loved how real he was. He told me he could do the tummy tuck but if I wanted better results I could lose 15 more pounds. My starting weight was 220 lbs and I went down to 180 before my surgery and now at 170. My sleep has improved tremendously and my meditations are that much better. I highly recommend septoplasty for those who constantly have a stuffy nose and do NOT recommend using Affrin! I've became dependent on it and it started to impact my personal life. Additionally, since I was going into surgery anyway, I thought I'd treat myself with a lower blepharoplasty. I constantly received comments like 'you look tired' or 'did you get enough sleep' which led me to Dr Yoo. Now I look ten years younger and already have received compliments :) Dr Yoo is very responsive and will even respond to email via weekend, and Sheree was great to interact with. She was very thorough and always set expectations with me which is nice. Not once did I feel I was being 'taken advantage of' and whenever something would come up, Sheree would proactively reach out.
