I'm a 36 y.o. female. My worsened/more acute hearing loss issues spanned about two years by the…read moretime that I got surgery, and a year and a half before I met Dr. Kiringoda. It was a really hard time. I had a couple of other ENTs unsure of the root cause, with imaging showing no issues, etc. Those ENTs mostly pushed for keeping my newly acquired hearing aids and not pursuing surgery to better my hearing on its own. I finally met with an ENT who recommended the right imaging and then referred me to Dr. Kiringoda, whom he highly recommended. When I first went in for a consultation, Dr. Kiringoda and PA Rachel (who is also awesome) spent a lot of time with me. He looked at my new CT with me and explained what his plan would be for surgery, targeting the exact cause of my hearing loss. Additionally, he would explore the middle ear to ensure there were no other issues and be prepared if anything else came up during surgery. He thoroughly explained the procedure and what to expect. Small Note: He spends considerable time with his patients, so appointments sometimes run behind, but it's all good because his expertise is worth the wait! I got surgery done by Dr. Kiringoda in August 2025, where I underwent an Ossiculoplasty, in which he placed a prosthetic due to erosion of the long process of the Incus bone. After my surgery, I experienced minimal pain and no complications. It was clear about a month after that my hearing was improving, my tinnitus was decreasing, and the numb feeling in my ear was mostly gone. By two months or so, my hearing was exceptionally improved. I am so grateful to Dr. Kiringoda and his excellent team both before and during surgery. I felt well cared for and still do, knowing they are in my corner if something else transpires with my ears. I highly recommend Dr. Kiringoda and PA Rachel Brown, and I have told several people who have asked me for a reference for a good ENT.

I've worn hearing aids for 24 years by total necessity to work and live because of this disability. After two successful surgeries, I can carry on conversations, workout and talk with people, hike and swim without fear of ruining my expensive hearing aids. It's miraculous!! I knew from my first meeting with Dr. Kiringoda, that I could trust him completely. He is kind, patient, caring and clearly experienced, but also humble. As a feminist and aspiring physician, I like to support women in medicine whenever possible. Sadly, finding a female ENT is not easy. She appears to be a competent surgeon as I had no complications with my ear tube removal and tympanostomy surgery in November 2017. The medical assistants are kind and responsive. However, her attitude changed when I had chronic sinus infections and the CT didn't show anything wrong despite my symptoms responding to meds that both she and a PCP at One Medical prescribed. When I saw a different ENT in Fremont, he had me repeat the scan which showed narrowed and blocked passages. As a result, I had to have surgery. During the time of my sinus issues, she failed to return messages through My Health online. After about 10 days, she leaves a voice message saying she doesn't know what my question is. Again, I thought she was nice but maybe is inexperienced or needs to work on her diagnostic process. Her lack of follow up and inability to take my concerns about my sinuses seriously made me give her 3 rather than the 5 stars I was hoping to give. I would only see her if I couldn't find any other female ENTs who seemed like a good fit. I have been fortunate to have found 2 amazing female ENTs since that visit - my current one in San Ramon and a former one in Menlo Park.

I came in with wax build up in my left ear (had issues since a kid) and he not only fixed it he explained fully what was CAUSING this issue. He listens and he caters the medical advice based on the specific patient needs. I also want to commend Melissa for her due diligence in cleaning my ears in a prior visit. As per billing I feel that pricing is high. Just be sure to ask upfront what all costs are (ex: there is a new patient fee). The staff is friendly in the front reception area and will answer any questions you have. I came here since my usual Provider (Kaiser) was not available until much later.

It seems like as they've moved away, they have also stopped offering cochlear implant audiology services and may have even stopped offering hearing aid services after their longtime hearing aid audiologist retired. Now, they've turned into a full on cochlear implant surgery service. However, surgery is only the beginning of the journey - you need the audiology services that take care of mapping and future upgrades. I received my surgery from them more than a decade ago and without audiology here, I am stranded without a provider. I called them and left a voicemail asking if they had suggestions where I could find care and did not receive any call back. It's unfortunate they've shifted to this model.
