With Sutter, they have one location near me, you must check in with everyone else, and the whole visit to get an injection can take an hour sometimes. Dr. P has locations in Fairfield and Vacaville that they alternate and they will bring your shots to both locations. Also, I have never waited more than 10 minutes for a shot. Frantic, I called my primary physician to ask him to do a test. He recommended Dr. Posner as an allergist and refused to recommend anyone else. He said it was the best allergist around, and that's who they use for something this serious. For this, I am really grateful. Dr. Posner is by far the best allergist I have ever been to, and probably the best doctor I've ever met. For starters, he comes in with a warm smile, as if he's known you forever. He's easy to talk to, thorough, investigative, and efficient. He understood my time restraints and he drove in and opened up the entire office for me on a Saturday, just so he could check to see if I had a preliminary reaction to metal. I now understand why the office is always packed. I wouldn't trust anyone else with testing for allergies or investigating a medical problem.

They have always been very professional and the check-in procedure is run smoothly. After my initial appointment at North Bay, I was not impressed. I had to ask to check my vials to confirm that they were mine. I was told that the staff checked them to confirm the correct info. They made a note to make sure I checked my vials in the future. As a retired USAF medic, I was trained to always confirm everything with the patient. This was my first red flag. I was given info regarding an app to download onto my phone for future check-ins. After repeated attempts to do so, the app remained defective. When I tried to check into the clinic on the next visit, I got a bit of attitude because I didn't use the app. After several attempts, I called the clinic for assistance. The receptionist seemed very cavalier in her attitude and didn't seem to understand my frustration. I was hung up on while I again attempted to install the phone app. She eventually called back. By this time I was beyond frustrated and cancelled all future appointments to this ineffective clinic. I will resume my treatments at the clinic in Fairfield. I have confidence in being taken seriously and feel very at ease with their efficient system.

He is a careful listener, welcomes discussion when it comes to difficult health issues, and when he doesn't have an answer he will actually say so (unlike a lot of other doctors I have seen) and refer me to a specialist who can help. I can't comment on the weight management aspect of his office as I have never used it. However his allergy therapy is great, and has gotten my allergies under control. Another thing about his practice is that is excellent is his diagnosing and treating sleep disorders. Although we are still trying to figure out the root of my insomnia problems, he has run many tests that other doctors I have seen had never heard of, and we are getting closer and closer to finding the cause. I have talked to several patients who have been seeing him for sleep issues and I have yet to hear anything negative about his practice. He is always learning new things and has a genuine passion for medicine. Every time I see him he tells me about different conferences he is going to, new diagnostic equipment he is setting up, and programs he is taking in order to gain the knowledge and abilities required to help his patients more effectively. This is a trait a lot of doctors lose after getting their degree. It is refreshing to see a practitioner that, after so many years in practice, is still trying to learn more and is still passionate about what he or she does for a living. I haven't had any issues with his nursing staff, who I find to be both friendly and attentive. Dr. Bhat frequently has open appointments (within, at most, 1 to 2 days of calling) and if it is urgent he will ask you to come in at a certain time-frame and attempt to squeeze you into his schedule. I have had a lot of Primary Care doctors. Dr. Bhat is one of the few I trust with my health.

I remember this male patient in particular who made quite an impression on my mind because he had lost 86 pounds in 6 months and was still going steady. Some things that I really liked about Dr. Bhat were that he was very experienced and VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. He has a board certification in Bariatrics (medicine of weight loss), which means he's a licensed professional in this field, and that takes away some skepticism. Also, he has great doctor-patient interaction and emphasizes on patient education a lot. The treatment plan includes balancing meals, counting steps, diet pill prescription (optional, which raises your basal metabolic rate), lipo shots (optional, which helps the liver in mobilizing stored fat). He teaches patients how to balance their meals with proteins and omega-3, diagnoses whether they are weight loss resistant, instructs how to prevent carbohydrate craving and night eating syndrome, and holds tele-seminars regularly to update his patients on current knowledge. All in all from what I've seen, the program is a very healthy and medically sound approach to losing weight. P.S. If you have allergies and sleep problems, he is able to the draw the connection to weight gain because he also practices Internal Medicine and specializes in Allergy, Bariatrics and Sleep Medicine. So he treats you comprehensively. You'll be amazed by how much he knows!!!

I have never felt rushed, but rather keenly listened to and always taken care of. Dr. Gowda was willing to push back against my insurance when they balked at payment for some treatments and he even turned me on to some coupons to save me money. His treatment regime is very progressive and he even followed up to further research some new potential treatments I brought to his attention. My symptoms are much better now and I even look forward to our now only occasional friendly meetings.
