"Dr. Mac" as his patients jokingly refer to him is on auto pilot. He missed every sign and symptom…read morethat my mom was having serious coronary problems...chest pain, radiating pain, Shortness of breath. I am also a healthcare provider and was with my mom when she told him of these symptoms...he called it "stress and anxiety" and diagnosed Valume!!! He had her walk once around the office ...50 feet at best to check her O2 sat...it was in the mid 80's...his solution was to order home oxegen...that would have taken 7 days to get...she couldn't breath!!!! We ended up by passing him and going to a specialist the next day...he admitted my mom to the hospital that day...she passed 10 days later. If you love your parents, aunts, uncles...DO NOT go to this Dr. He is charming...and that is about it... During one of my mom's last visits to him...the elevator was broken again...not only did my short of breath mother have to climb to the second floor...but there was an elderly woman trapped inside the elevator!!! And Mac...if you read this ...my mother was Mary Anne J. Your pt of over 15 years...not one word of condolence from your lame, unhelpful office...Glad we got my Aunt away from you...by the way...you mis-diagnosed her as well..not altzimers... I wish you zero patient contact. Stace I just received yet another "Yelp" response to my review..."Mac" misdiagnosed another long-term Pt. of his..."Mac" is a menace to your parents...relatives health...

Just saw Dr. McNamara. I don't know who the other reviewer has seen or what the problem was. Dr…read more McNamara has guided healthcare for my husband and myself for several years. He is bright, interested and competent. If there is ever a problem with his delivery of medical care, I am confident it will not be from lack of concern or lack of ability. I recommend Dr. McNamara to my family and friends without reservation. His staff is great. Energetic and caring. The office is getting old, but it's clean. What's not to love?

Moved to the east bay this summer and had a great experience setting up care with Dr. Jones. She…read moreand her staff are very helpful and kind. Dr. Jones helped me on a weekend via phone when she was on call and she also listened to me when I had previously been unheard about my concerns with other doctors. Her office is clean and central to the Richmond/ Hercules/ Pinole area

I really, really wanted for Dr. Jones to be a good fit as my doctor, as I did like her as a person…read more It was apparent to me from the start that she is an intelligent, capable physician who has a lot of potential. However, she is scattered and disorganized to the point to where I became concerned that her carelessness could be harmful. During my first appointment, Dr. Jones asked me to write down a list of my current medications, and then asked that I highlight what needed to be refilled, and requested that I write down what medications I've had bad reactions to. I carefully listed each medication into the correct category, we discussed the list, and she agreed to refill what was under the "refill" section. When I got to the pharmacy to pick up the prescriptions, I saw that Dr. Jones had called in prescriptions for the medication that I'd had bad reactions to, and refilled medication that I did not need refilled; which of course my insurance didn't cover. She had mixed up the lists, and what is worse is that she insisted that it was the pharmacy's mistake. On another occasion, she wrote me a prescription for a specific ailment that I was suffering from, and when I came for my follow up appointment, she read from her notes that she had put me on a completely different medication for an ailment that I have never had in my life. When I explained that her information was incorrect, she insisted that I was mistaken and my memory was bad. Perhaps I caught Dr. Jones during a difficult time period as she had just moved offices, but good organization is important in medicine, and I hope that she has improved her practice.
