Dr. Cislo is the BEST! Mamas, my mind is completely blown by this transformation done my Osteopathic Manipulation Dr. Cislo did to reshape of my son's head. I'm truly so grateful a friend of mine recommeded her to us, so I want to share this with other mamas/parents that have had similar concerns. Here is a before and after from our first Appt. Such a big difference! We also learned that our son has a lip tie and that the reason he wasn't nursing well on one side was because he couldn't turn his head properly. That's now been fixed and he nursed great on both sides last night! Dr. Cislo also manipulated the bones in my son's mouth to help with his gag reflux and explained that part of the reason people have crooked teeth is because the bones in the head are crooked, and that's why teeth often shift back without use of retainers. I have been seeing Dr. McCombs as part of my health-maintenance team for years, and I look forward to each visit. In fact, he was able to "read" my body's cues (to its history of injury) so well during the first visit that I felt like he was telling me the story of my life! I see a chiropractor as well, and can witness that this osteopathic work is profoundly different: Dr. McCombs treats the RELATIONSHIP of skeleton to tissue and organs. He "rearranged" my leg bones in such a way that the progressive knee pain I presented in my first treatment had disappeared within a couple of months. Dr. McCombs has his own thoughtful approach to osteopathy, and I dread having to move away from his care. He was the only one who could help "reset" my body (and minimize the pain) each month after severe dysmenorrhea laid me flat. He can re-start my Lyme-damaged digestion and even ease soreness in my skull! I just had no idea, before I began seeing a DO, what was possible. And the thing is, his heart is kind. He is passionate about this work, and truly cares about his patients. He's a gifted teacher. He has a military history, and makes sure to be in an area where he can treat veterans. I've had ongoing autoimmune illnesses since I had Covid 3 years ago.....Sjögren's Syndrome, Ankylosing Spondilitis and Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. I also have UC from the late 80s but have been in remission for a very long time and I continue to use her recipe for daily Anti-Inflammatory shakes. Dr. Cislo is always thinking beyond the 'normal' treatments I've had and my symptoms are better because of her. Recently, I went for her 'magic fingers treatment' to help with excrutiating knee pain. I had so much compensatory pain as well, adjusting to put less load on my knee. I was pretty sure I tore my meniscus because I've had 3 surgeries for the same problems on both knees. I wish I had known her before the surgeries. She found out my tibia was out of alignment and put it back where it was supposed to be. I was sore but my pain was about 90% gone! I may still have torn my meniscus but now I'm thinking I might be able to put it off for awhile. I have to tell about my last knee surgery several years ago. Dr Cislo told me to see her as soon after my surgery as possible so she could help with post-surgery pain. I went as soon as I was lucid enough, the same day, and I never had to use more than a Tylenol while I was recovering...and only for about 3 days. She can never retire! read more

This is for the strange attitude of the doc, came in and not told that I'd be on an infrared pad and a machine to treat some illnesses and relax me while undergoing OMT. I was getting disrespected and respected at the same time. Felt more lower back pain after which I received an aggressive move on, asked for permission first, then no permission on removing my headband, glasses, and cell first, beforehand, Then got a scratch on my forearm without being told, beforehand too. I did laugh at some of her comments and shared criticisms of other docs. Several comments were freaking weird. I was relieved when that visit was over. I'm not sure why I was not more steadfast and my husband neither. My pysch said cause of trauma, as I told her about this visit. She said things that quite worried me but also said there is hope. I'm not into practitioners that should know better and then act this way. She said she speaks sensitive and that was not the language I got most the visit. She said Labcorp is not accurate, when I've gotten more accurate tests there than those pay things. It's that the docs got to know which tests to order from them. She thanked me as I thanked her and weirdly walked out saying the headband is not good for my head. I'm like what just happened?! She did answer some questions about the machine and my concerns about that. Inquire beforehand before you book here. Staff was cool and the doggie was scared of me. My husband said cause of the wheelchair. I hope insurance pays. She might have good treatments but I'm not into machines to treat. I gotta admit, I feel better but with this attitude, I'll move on, shame, she was not this way before. read more

Dr. was great. Billing is a BIG ISSUE. Charged for the session, and for the paperwork/office. It's about $150 for the Dr., AND $150 for the office. EVERY VISIT! No joke! Ridiculous! With insurance - I paid $75 each time. My first session, the receptionist/assistant Ashley, would not tell me how much they charge. She said "don't worry about it - your insurance will cover". Thomas was wonderful- I'd be going back to him every month forever. But the billing feels like highway robbery. Oh, and their billing department is in another state. Sorry about the one star Thomas, but you are out-of-line on this point. My GP doesn't even charge that amount. read more

I injured my neck body surfing about 25 years ago and have seen a lot of doctors since then for the pain and stiffness. I started seeing Dr Susan Cislo a few months ago and her work has been amazing. I have more range of motion and less pain than I can remember since the accident. Its not perfect yet, but after a few treatments I'm very happy with the progress. And, she has been taking care of other problems that I didn't think were enough to mention. Last session she worked on my shoulder that I separated when I was a teenager and for the first time I can remember it doesn't hurt to lay flat with my arms above my head. Dr. Cislo is very personable and easy to talk to, not like some Dr's I've seen. WARNING- As stated in another review...Be very aware of their charges up front and find out what insurance is going to cover. I was desperate and read great reviews so I just went. Asked about the bill and told not to worry....went a few more times and then got this huge bill and I have great insurance. Makes me sad if they do that to someone who maybe doesn't. They charge $165 just for admin- what my blood pressure, and another $175 for the doctor. I would ask about what your insurance is going to cover and what it isn't...like the ridiculous admin costs. Because, a year ago, I broke my 4th & 5th metatarsal on my left foot & I have a torn meniscus on my right knee. Dr. Cislo and Dr. McCoombs are excellent integrative medicine doctors who are one of the few who will practice "slow medicine," which unfortunately with Kaiser, Sutter Health and other practices don't exist any more thanks to insurance dictating doctor's payments what doctors can see and do. My family and I have been going to them for years. They provide individual holistic care and really listen to the patient and investigate what's going on. Make no mistake, when you look at the complaints about billing from other reviews, I don't think the reviewers realized that they are getting a very specialized treatment at the office because both doctors are specialists at osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT). That's not the same as going to a GP for GP services...because people go to them for OMT and for their integrative medicine, not for stuff you normally go to at any primary care doctor's. It's like going to your pulmonologist for diabetes and then wondering why the office is charging you a pulmonologist fee - you went to a specialist, what do you expect? However, being that both doctors are trained in general medicine, they have the knowledge and understanding of primary care and they use it as part of their holistic treatment including OMT. They were able to diagnose and treat my husband and I with multiple problems that had been missed by other doctors and have improved the quality of our lives significantly. I originally went to them for chronic pain from several accidents, but my pain has improved tremendously with each treatment and I am beginning to need to see them less and less each time. In the process they were able to diagnose and treat other ailments which I hadn't even realized I had was contributing to my poor quality of life. I am grateful they take insurance because the majority of docs who do what they do don't take insurance in this area; as opposed to Michigan or the East Coast. Their charges are equitable to other docs who take only cash and before I found this office I was forking a lot more money to be treated for my chronic pain. They are the reason I'm not on any pain meds; if more people with chronic pain saw doctors like Dr. Cislo and Dr. McCoombs I doubt we would have this crazy opioid epidemic! read more

Dr. Cislo is simply AMAZING when it comes to treating children. When my daughter was 6 days old, she was having problems nursing and favored only one side. Immediately after her first 30 min treatment with Dr. Cislo, my daughter was able to nurse without difficulty and became a more content baby from then on. After the success I saw with my daughter, I recommended Dr. Cislo to a friend of mine who's 3 month old was having severe reflux. After a few treatments, his reflux had dramatically improved and was able to decrease the amount of medication he was on.
