I was seen by an an intern for my first appointment who said she would do the intake. Ok, it's good for people to learn, and she had been there all of 6 or 7 weeks. But Lauren, the PT, never did come in, and when she did at the very end, it was to commandeer the computer since hers wasn't working, as we just stood there. Lauren gave a snarky reply to a legitimate question and I couldn't get out of there fast enough. I hope she was just having a bad day and doesn't make a habit out of it, but I won't be going back to find out. My fabulous neurosurgeon had this place on a list of recommended providers, but not anymore.

The receptionist is super cool. The physical therapist are awesome and the assistance to the physical therapists are so friendly and engaging. I never want my sessions to end. Businesses need to take a lesson from how this establishment is run. Everybody is happy accommodating and very down to earth. I highly recommend the Bay Area Physical Therapy to anybody in need of recovery and a safe place to get it done. I'm gonna be so sad when my sessions end. These ladies feel like family to me and I actually wish we could be friends outside of PT. That's how much I love this place!!!

Dr. Mike helped me pinpoint exactly what was limiting me and built a simple, targeted plan that actually fit into my existing training, and now overhead work no longer feels tight or painful--I'm moving better, feeling stronger, and even PR'd my jerk by 20 lbs thanks to a much better receiving position. I rested, scaled back, and even tried a few massages, but after a month with no improvement, I knew I needed something more. I decided to give Dr. Mike a shot since he's part of our CrossFit community and has a great reputation at the gym. Being a former coach, he truly understands the movements we do and the intensity we train at. That made a huge difference. I also shared that I'm a busy mom and don't have a lot of extra time for long rehab routines, and he completely got it. He gave me simple, effective exercises I could realistically stick to, while actively working on rehabbing my shoulder. What I appreciated most is that he didn't just tell me to stop or "take it easy." He understood my goals and helped me keep moving forward safely without feeling like I was losing progress. Now my shoulder is completely healed. At my worst, I couldn't even lift my arm to shoulder height--now I'm back to doing everything in CrossFit, and honestly feel stronger than before. We were happy with the care she received, that's why we brought her back again. First of all, it's a very clean facility, small and personal, but most of all great staff. The nurses my Mom had were professional & helpful. The CNA's were amazing. The ones I will mention were the very best. Mario, Smile, Rain, and one special CNA on swing shift named Michelle. Jessica on the weekends was also an excellent help with my Mom, Nursing director Teri was extremely helpful, always available to help. Vanessa social worker was also fantastic at assisting with so much. The physical therapists & occupational therapists were also great. I hope my Mom never has to go back, but if she ever did, Legacy would surely be our number 1 pick. Much love & thanks to the staff. I would…read morecome to see my mother after lunch to find that she didn't have her hearing aid in her ear and her dentures were still in the case. which had dirty water in it. I had to complain to severl people before anyone would do anything about the moldy water they were storing her dentures in. Very few people here care. Good luck trying to get someone on the phone "They're in a meeting and will call you back as soon as it's over" was the standare lie I was told. There was no set level of care at which my mother would be released so as long as they could bill for her she was stuck in a hostage situation. My mother's health declined horribly while here, she lost a lot of weight and she died a month after they FINALLY agreed to release her.

I've held off on posting this review for a long time and tried to move forward, but my experience…read morestill bothers me so much that I have to warn others to avoid this place at all costs. First, the receptionist needs additional customer service training. She came across as unprofessional and rude for all of my visits. Multiple times I waited for her to finish a person call, texting or scrolling on her cellphone before being helped. This was annoying, but not what I take issue with. My therapist, Prajakta, saw me for about a month before going away on sabbatical. (This is the only good thing about this place imo, that they let their employees take the time they need to recharge). However, while she was away I had a new therapist for every single visit, with only one therapist seeing me on two separate occasions. This didn't also didn't bother me either. When Prajakta returned, I had been about a month in recovery from surgery for the problem I was visiting their facility for. I explained I was scheduled for another procedure that scheduled for the following week and the doctor recommended I continue therapy. Prajakta, after visiting with me just the one time since returning from her sabbatical told me that I was all better and didn't need to schedule any further appointments, even with the info I just shared with her about having another procedure scheduled. This place does not care about their patients. They do not care if you still have visits approved through insurance. They do not care about Doctors recommendations/orders. And sadly they do not care if they have helped you or not. So that was my experience and I hope this helps anyone thinking of using this facility to maybe look elsewhere.

He also collaborated with my boss' massage therapist so they could coordinate with her treatment. He truly cares about his patients and gets to know them. Dr. A is one of the more rare health care specialists who genuinely seems interested in his patients' lives. I enjoy going to his sessions with my boss because he is so nice to talk to. I would recommend him to any person of any age or ability. The clinic starts to feel like a little family when you know the other therapists and secretary. Incredible medical performance with the added bonus of great conversation? Can't be beat.
