I went to the this office because I was told Dr. Franzen was old school and didn't over charge his patients. I went the first time for a cleaning and was happy with the hygeniest. The dentist then came in a found 5 cavities! Holy cow. So I set up an appointment for the first set of filling, doing one side at a time. When I called to check on my insurance coverage, no one answered to phone in the middle of the day. Then I got a call back from the dr wife, also the office manager, from her personal cell number, only for her to tell me she would have to call me back when she got back to the office after her doctor appointment. Frankly, while she tries to be nice, she comes off as super chatty, inappropriate and used bad language a lot.
When I went in for my fillings, they had lost my chart and couldn't find it. Then the dr did the filling with out wearing any type of mask, and when he leaned over me to get a tool, he squished his belly into my face for like a minute! It was very unprofessional and made me very uncomfortable. Then I had to go back and get a filling fixed because one that he had just done fell out after a few days. When I went back in, he argued that it wasn't the filling he had done. And because they couldn't find my chart again, he almost didn't fix it. They finally found my chart and discovered I wasn't lying. So he fixed it for free. But I never went back to get my other 'cavities' filled, and have since visited another dentist and he said I don't have any more cavities.
So while this place does have a simple mom and pop shop feel, I will not be returning. I dont't appreciate unanswered phones, calls from their home phone, unprofessionalism and all over bad experience. read more
