Maracuyá sour 8/10 I liked this one very balance flavor. Service 2/10 once you order your food they won't check on you again this happened to me all the times I came here. No 1st bite check no 2nd bite check. They notice that I didn't like the margarita and they won't ask about it almost look like they don't care. Anticuchos 10/10. First off, I'm glad they have outside seating. It's not huge but they have several tables. I get tired of picking out food and eating at home so this is a nice change. They staff is very nice and helpful. We heard about this place from friends so we decided to give it a shot and this place has pretty good food. My Peruvian blood got super excited when I found this little gem in Rancho Cucamonga. I was a little hesitant about the "fusion" part since usually they do not end up tasting authentic, but to my pleasant surprise, most of it tasted delicious. The place itself is not that big. Having said that, the table are small, so not much elbow room, ladies: leave your big purses home. The service: great. Both servers were so friendly and helpful. The food: large portions. Easily could have split my meal with someone. The flavors were exactly what I had been wanting. The best, of course was the Lomo saltado. The juices of the lomo mixed with the sautéed red onions and tomatoes were mouth watering. The rice soaking in those juices were the perfect combination. True Peruvian goodness there. The 'Choritos a la chalaca' were pretty dang refreshing. The Ahuadito de pollo was pure authentic and comforting dish that I remember eating when I was young. My only disappointment was the 'Huancaina' sauce. That was not at all the spicy,cheesy sauce I remember, which is a shame since it's such a staple of Peruvian food. Oh, the chicha morada was perfectly refreshing on such a hot day. Would come back if in town. Just wouldn't order the papas a la huancaina. read more

Don't get this place confused with Mica's Peruvian Sandwiches! That place is a small sandwich shop that closes early, got confused with it at first. Came to this fine establishment with a group of friends after visiting the Ontario Mall. I shared 1 main course and 1 appetizer as we weren't too hungry. Ordered the beer shrimp pasta and the trio de empanadas. There was also complimentary bread with some sort of creamy, cilantro, jalapeño green sauce. The bread and the green sauce: very tasty. The creamy sauce has that little spicy kick to it with the jalapenos. It's so popular that the restaurant even sells it (I believe the waiter told us the bigger size was $6 and the smaller was half of it). They were generous with their bread which was also nice and crispy and perfect with their sauce. Beer shrimp pasta: loaded with shrimp, tomatoes, cilantro, cheese, black pepper, and their creamy sauce, this pasta deserves a good reputation. Even when splitting it in half, there was enough for me to feel like I was bursting. Decent number of shrimps as well. However, it did taste like simple alfredo sauce but it was prepared nicely. I would recommend it. Trio de Empanadas: as the name suggests, there were 3 separate empanadas. One filled with beef, one filled with chicken, and finally just cheese. This was topped off with a little bit of powdered sugar which kind of confused me. Inside with the meats came with a mixture of tomato, onion, cheese and I'm sure more ingredients. This really reminded me of beignets with their buttery and flakey crust, especially with the powdered sugar. It was interesting but a decent experience. Maybe because I like beignets. The food here is okay, but the service has been consistently poor and often rude nearly every single time we've gone - and we've been patrons at this local business for years now, even recommending friends and family go there to try their sopitas and some of their better dishes. About a month ago, we placed a to-go order for over $100 and they forgot our drinks. We don't live super close by and were already halfway home before we realized their error. I called them immediately and they apologized, asked for my name, and then told us we could pick up the drinks the next time we came in. Well, today was that day. We spent over $60 with them today and when we asked about receiving the drinks they'd forgotten on our last visit, the staff and manager were disgustingly rude and flat out denied giving them to us despite the fact that the error was on THEIR PART, we'd ALREADY PAID FOR THEM, and we were STILL PATRONIZING THEIR RESTAURANT. The manager actually had the audacity to tell us she didn't care if we never returned to their restaurant again. ARE YOU F***ING KIDDING ME?! Just tried Mica's for the first time, I've lived in this area and had no idea about it until a co worker told me about it and the food was soooo good!! I was very impressed. They have really good lunch specials during the week till about 3pm I believe, for $7.99 which is a really good deal. I had the pollo saltado and it was delicious. I remember trying Peruvian food at a place in Palos Verdes about 5 years ago and I wasn't a big fan. However, I decided to give this place a try with my friends and it was amazing. The free complimentary bread in the beginning was average but that Ahee Verde sauce was to die for. It was slightly spicy and creamy and you could pretty much put that on anything. I ordered the mahi mahi ceviche and Lomo Saltado to share with my girlfriend. The ceviche was just okay but the Lomo Saltado was equally as amazing as the Ahee Verde. It had the right amount of umami flavor and with the sauce on top it made the perfect dish. Everyone in my party was satisfied with their orders and they loved the Ahee Verde as well. Disappointed in their takeout during the Pandemic and trying to over charge me for sauce. My coworkers and I used to come here more often, pre-pandemic of course. I wanted to support them during the pandemic since I enjoyed their food. I phoned in an order for the Lomo Saltado as I typically get when I visit in person. I love their green sauce that comes at the table with bread. When I got my order, I noticed I only got 2 little 1oz sauce containers with my takeout order so I asked if I could two more. I was told they would be an extra $1 each! I understand the desire to want to charge for extra, even thought its a small cost, its still an expense for them to give it away. However, $1 for a 1oz (maybe less) container of sauce is ridiculous. I'm sure it cannot cost them even a quarter to make that volume of sauce. I should also note there was no extra charge before when I ate in. I told them no, but she offered me an extra sauce anyway. I thought it was at least nice customer service for revealing a minor cost I was not aware of before. Nope, I just didn't notice she charged me the $1 for it until later.. That's on me, I misunderstood she was charging me $1 for what she was originally going to charge $2. I also noticed my portion size appeared smaller than I had in the past, maybe just my perception or just annoyance at being nickle and dimed.
