I've never eaten a proper meal at Miau, lunch or dinner that is. But I've had the pleasure of having la marienda (afternoon snack) here twice.
I've only had the Spanish basics at Miau: patatas bravas, pimientos de padron, tortilla, potato salad, croquettes, iberico, etc. But everything was very well done. I especially like the white aoili they do with the patatas brava. They have the traditional red sauce, too, but the white is outstanding.
Service is prompt which isn't always the case with the plaza tables. Servers are friendly. And the prices are quite reasonable.
It's in the Plaza Santa Anna, a truly lovely spot on the way too/back from the Prado and Thyssen. There are few better places that I can think of to while away an hour or two with friends and a glass of wine.
Since these are must see destinations in Madrid, I would call this a must-do siesta stopover. I would bet it's a great meal spot too. read more
