HORRIBLE! Where do I start to complain on Miami Adventure Tours which is also called Orlando Adventure Tours? (NOTE: I found out from my receipt that Miami Double Decker runs Miami Adventure Tours. ) I took a bus tour to Walt Disney World from Miami Beach. I booked it via one of the many bus tour companies along Collins Avenue. Well, they told me that I would be arriving around 9am to Walt Disney World since they leave Miami Beach around 5am. (NOTE: Its about 4 hours from Miami Beach to Walt Disney World by car.) They boasted that they are the only company in Miami that picks its customers that early, so they can enjoy a day at Walt Disney World since they leave Walt Disney World by 7pm in the evening of the same day to go back to Miami Beach. So, I bought it. Well, they picked me up around 5am off Collins Avenue. There were already people on the bus from previous stops. Then, they drove up North on Collins Avenue and picked up some more customers from a few other Miami Beach hotels. So, then they drove up Collins Avenue all the way to Sunny Isles Beach, but they stopped picking up people around 50th Street and Collins Avenue, so I don't know why they just didn't go to Miami right after that via a shorter route. Anyway at Sunny Isles Beach, the bus turned West to head to Aventura and took Ives Diary Road to I-95. The bus started heading North on I-95, and I thought we were our way to Walt Disney World. NOPE! The bus stopped in Hollywood at the Tri-Rail station. We picked up some more people who were not tourists but locals who had luggage and boxes. Afterwards, we drove from I-95 to the Florida Turnpike where all lanes heading North shut down to a major tractor trailer accident. We didn't move for over 1 hour. Afterwards, one lane opened and the bus headed North on the Florida Turnpike. Then, I thought we were finally on our way to Walt Disney World. Well, NOPE again! We made another stop on the Florida Turnpike at the Pompano Beach rest stop, and again picked up some more people who were not tourists but locals. Then we were finally on our way to Walt Disney World. Now, during most of this trip, the bus driver was actually talking on his cellphone in one hand and driving the bus with one hand! I am so happy we didn't crash. Anyway, we finally made it "near" Kissimmee/Orlando. I say this because we stopped again in Kissimmee off the Osceola Parkway in a Walmart parking lot. We dropped off the locals who were picked from Hollywood and Pompano Beach. (NOTE: The bus NEVER stopped so we can get some food and drinks for the long trip.) Well, we finally got back on the Florida Turnpike where they took us to the main office of Miami Adventures Tours which is called Orlando Adventures Tours at 12pm, but we left Miami Beach around 5am. I understand about the extra hour because of the accident, but it is normally a "4-hour" road trip so it took us 7 hours!!! The office is located at 6807 Visitors Circle off the International Drive like near Universal Studios. We got there and the office staff was like spending time explaining how the transportation worked for our trip because we had to transfer on small shuttle bus to the park. Remember, I was told I would be at Walt Disney World around 9am, and its 12pm. So, I thought they would immediately get us on the shuttle bus to head to Walt Disney World. NOPE! They had only 1 shuttle bus, and they were going to take the customers going to Universal Studios first. So, we had to wait. Again, none was able to eat or drink at all since we left Miami Beach at 5am. Thank God there was a KFC and Walgreens a block away, so I got some food from KFC. The shuttle bus came back to the office after 15 minutes or so. Then we proceeded to head to Walt Disney World. We got to the Transportation and Ticket Center at the Magic Kingdom at 1pm. 1pm!!! Again, I was told we would be there by 9am, but again I understand about the traffic accident but we should had been at the park maybe by 11am or earlier IF we didn't have to make those stops at Hollywood, Pompano Beach and Kissimmee. Something that the tour folks NEVER NEVER NEVER said to me or the other passengers. By the way, they pick you back at 7pm at the Transportation and Ticket Center at the Magic Kingdom, so if you are going another Disney Park besides the Magic Kingdom. You need to get on the Disney around 6pm to get back to the Magic Kingdom. So, I had just 6 hours to enjoy the park, but at 1pm. All of the good Disney attraction rides at the Magic Kingdom were like a 1-hour to 2-hour wait time. SUCKS! Well, the shuttle bus was there at 7pm and it didn't take us back to their office off International Drive. NOPE! They took us to the Kissimmee stop where we waited for the bus. Then, we got back on the bus to go back to Miami, and again the bus DID NOT stop for anyone to get any food or drink. Again, we stopped at Pompano Beach and Hollywood. But my some miracle we got back to Miami Beach after 11pm. Avoid this company!!! read more
