When you live out east, there aren't as many dinning options at your disposal. That being said Mi Tierra is a solid (hence the "A-Ok" rating) Mexican restaurant east of Denver. I've been here several different times and the food it pretty damn good, though probably not the most authentic. My BF comes here more regularly than myself and enjoys the taco salad or one of the rotating specials. I like the Mi Tierra burrito. It is large and super delish. It comes out topped with avocado, pico de gailo, smothered in an enchilada type sauce, and packed full of peppers, onions, jalapenos, and your choice of meat. It's the perfect size for a hungry individual or has the potential for leftovers. While the service is alright, it's not fantastic. I would advise not coming here for a meal if you are in a hurry. My last couple visits around lunch hour seemed to take longer than expected; especially since our group of three were that only guests. Given how close Mi Tierra is to us, I know we will be back. read more

Pretty good place. Had a combo meal smothered tamale, with flauta that I was able to substitute for the taco and a cheese enchilada. Kids had smothered burritos and hubby also had a combo meal. The ground beef was kind of interesting like it had a hash mixed in it. I wasn't a fan. So I probably won't order anything with that beef in it. But the shredded beef was fine. Came on Saturday for lunch. Place wasn't busy. We were sat promptly but the hostess wasn't particularly friendly. We ordered + the food arrived quickly. Food was decent, portions were good but a bit smaller than other Mexican restaurants. I would have given a 4 star review but the hostess wasn't friendly and throughout our whole meal she was staring at me while cleaning menus in another booth-- it was awkward and will make me think twice about coming back. No one wants to be stared at while their eating. read more

While traveling from Denver to Kansas City we found this place Decided to have dinner there last night First off the place is small but clean We were seated quickly ... We ordered our drinks ( the waitress didn't know what White Zin wine was even tho it was on their menu .. She had to get another server ) Got our drinks and mind you they were not busy only 4 other tables Took over 20 minutes for our server to come take our food order Food come out fairly quick hot We both ordered a combo plate and one thing that was very weird is they did not come with rice and beans Now we drive a semi and we travel all 48 states so we have lots of experience with Mexican food This isn't authentic by any means It tasted more like it was items frozen then heated and served It didn't taste bad but wasn't real Mexican or even Tex-Mex Now as for service .... They need to fire or retrain their servers Our server never checked once to see how our meal was... We had to flag her down for more drinks and then she never asked how everything was We had left overs and waited over 1/2 hour after finishing and still our server hadn't come back So again we had to flag her down to get a to go box and our check With being on the road all the time we eat out several times a day so I pay close attention to how servers behave Here if your a local I noticed you get the attention .. Exp .... I saw the servers including ours asking other tables is everything was ok and making chit chat Well that's fine and dandy if your only concerned about your locals However by not giving the same service to out of towners you really are messing up When we find a good restaurant close to a truck stop we tell all our driver friends ( I own Facebook trucking groups with 1000's of driver members) This will be one place I will tell the drivers to avoid Such a shame because the food was decent and the price was good However the service and attitude of the servers killed it We work too hard for our money to give it to a business who could care less with bad customer service read more

Stumbled onto this place looking for parking. Without a doubt I would never stop eating here if I was local. Had a beer with tomato (michalada, friggin awesome). And carne asada with beans and rice avacado, pico de gallo, and a cheese enchilada with flan and coffee for desert very authentic nothing served from a can here #1 service from all. Fun little Mexican restaurant offering classic fare and large margaritas. Lunch specials are always great to save some money but the best dishes I've had so far are the Mi Tierra burrito with extra jalapeños or the Adobada taco plate. Keep up the great work! read more

Ordered take out on 6/27/17 Picked up order and only half the order was there. Husband went in side to get remaining order and in the process was treated extremely rudely by the waitress working that evening. No refund or offer to fix anything that was getting soggy in the car as we were waiting for the rest of our order. By the time we got the rest of our order and got home it was disgusting. Probably could've been really good if the experience and soggy coldness of our food wasn't so darn Bad. Will not give this restaurant my business again. read more

I ride my motorcycle by this place every weekend, always thinking i need to stop and try it so today i did. Our first visit and i must say it was good. Meat that tasted marinated, generous with the vegetables, awesome rice and KILLER shredded beef floutas. Additionally the salsa they give you at the beginning of the meal is good and has some spice to it which was a welcome suprise. 4 stars because the prices are just a tad bit high, but nowhere near a deterrent. Reasonably priced, quick service and a clean facility. The complimentary chips and salsa were a very good start to our lunch. They have lunch specials Monday through Friday that offer a variety of options. We (a party of 2) chose 2 ground beef enchiladas and a ground beef taco salad. Both were fresh and my companion raved about the enchiladas. The taco salad was ok and could have used a little more beef. Okay, but not great. The food is pretty obviously shipped in from a foodservice and a lot of it tastes like old frying oil. I had their Mi Tierra combo plate that comes with a beef taco, a chicken enchilada and a chile relleno. The taco had a nice crunch, but the beef tasted really weird and the whole thing had an overwhelming frying oil taste. I tried to use salsa and guacamole to help the flavor, but they didn't do much. The relleno was fairly good, but it was a flat, perfectly rectangle fried item. I realize a relleno doesn't have to be made with a whole (unchopped) pepper, but it was pretty obvious that it came frozen and they just reheated it in the fryer or in the microwave. It had that pre-packaged food perfection. The chicken enchilada reminded me why I don't usually get enchiladas in restaurants - the dark meat chicken was fatty and had that weird dark-meat flavor, and the corn tortilla was bland. It didn't seem to be seasoned at all - just slapped together and covered with cheese and green chili. The only thing that was truly enjoyable was the peach margarita. If you want "authentic" Mexican food, this is not the place - go to Three Margaritas, or (if you can) to Mexico. If you're tired of Taco Bell but don't want to pay much more, this will do. I may be back if someone else is buying, but it won't be a place I choose for myself. read more

My family and I placed an order to go April 27, when we got home the tacos tasted like the were made with dog food my wife and daughter didn't finish there's and mine had a bad odor ? The rest of the food was not very fresh food was horrible!!! We will never eat there again!!! One star is way to many! I would not recommend this to anyone. read more
