We moved here from California twelve years ago, and (besides the weather) the thing we missed the most was good Mexican food. The only Mexica restraint we had was T Juans, and it was awful. Then came Mi Rancho. The food is excellent, and the service is fast, friendly, and efficient. You can find Sally and I there most Friday evenings, enjoying the Carne Asada. Been there the last 2 years for my birthday. Get a regular Texas style fish bowl Margarita on the rocks. Sometimes 2, but I never have to drive afterward. Almost always order the Nachos El Carbon or the Nacho Cheese burrito. Chips and salsa are good, stay away from the hot salsa unless you are very brave and like very hot salsa. My favorite place to drink margaritas in Bemidji. But you have to go Texas style or you won't taste the tequila. Not sure what type they use but I like it. read more

This place has some really good chips and salsa! The salsa had cilantro and onion in it that made it taste great. The food itself was also good......well above average as far as Mexican food goes. I've lived in Bemidji for a little over a year, but this is my first visit to Mi Rancho. I got a combination plate, and it was very good. Chile Relleno, taco, burrito. My son got the fajitas that were the special that night for $9.99 and it was more than he could eat. We enjoyed a pitcher of margaritas...it was a good night. read more

Great wait staff, beautiful decor, wonderful atmosphere. I had the fish tacos and they were just like in Mexico---rolled up in corn tortillas cooked with the salsa. Not too spicy. I also had the sangria which was delicious and came in a huge glass. You will not be hungry anymore after a meal here. Generous portions and lots of chips and salsa. We go here every time we're in Bemidji. Never would have guessed there would be a great Mexican restaurant in Bemidji until I found this place a little off the beaten-track. read more

I love authentic Mexican food, and this place really knows how to showcase that. Most of the workers there speak Spanish, so when asking about the food, they know what they're talking about. The burrito supreme is my favorite! The service is amazing too; I've been in and out of there in less than 25 minutes before. If you love good Mexican food, this is the place to go! read more

We love this place. The food has always been very very good. Fresh, hot, and spot on. The chips come warm, and we love the seperate bowls for just your own salsa. I love this restaurant! Every time I get a choice, this is where I go! Today I waited 10 minutes to be seated, my waiter was there instantly it take drink order while another server immediately came with chips and salsa. When drinks arrived and I went to order, he already knew I wanted the mi rancho special! I sign that i go there to much but also a good memory! They had a special that said children under 12 eat free on Sunday with paid adult entree. They refused to honor the sign saying we had a lunch special so our granddaughter would have to pay for her meal. We had a Paradilla for two which is never on special. The "manager" got very nasty and told us he had a good business and didn't need us to come back. We had a party of 10 and we eat there usually once a month. Since he does not need our business we will not go there again. It is sad in a small town to be treated this way. read more
