I came for dinner with some co worker friends. The food was ok. Nothing special. Their portions are large. I had Thursdays - Enchiladas Favoritas Grilled chicken and Monterey Jack cheese inside a corn tortilla and covered with our signature chile cream sauce. Lettuce, pico de gallo, and sliced avocado on top. Served with black beans and Mi Ranchito rice. The rice tasted liked it got burned at the bottom of the pan. The black beans were hard. Overall, I would say the food lacks flavor. The service was ok. Nothing stood out. I will say the young lady that served us did a good job introducing herself. Slight mix up at the start . The restaurant had us for a 6:50 res and my wife had called for a 6:15 res. But we got that sorted and our group of 20 was seated. Our server, Alejandro was OUTSTANDING ! He was very attentive given we were such a large group. Also extremely accommodating given we had a couple of toddlers. Can't say enough about how well he handled us. Food was good as always here. We've been to a couple of their other locations but this was our first visit here. I went with the special of the day... Pork Carnitas and I was not disappointed. Perfect and very well portioned. Excellent service too. Right at lunch time on a Saturday and not overly crowded. My wife had the chicken and cheese enchilada plate. The avocado salsa is a real delight and not often found on the table with the usual chips and salsa. The decor is more cowboy than you might expect. The chips were fresh. The sopapillas were delightful. I brought half my food home and that'll probably be Monday's lunch. It won't just be a pleasant memory... I'll enjoy it all over again!! read more

I want preface this review by saying we are long time customers to this location, and we have almost always enjoyed our visits and loved our food. I hesitate to even leave this review just because of that fact, but after reaching out to management on their website and receiving zero response to our issue from our last visit, I feel it necessary to warn future patrons. We visited on Monday, October 28 at dinner time. The restaurant was only moderately busy , and while there was no one at the host's station upon arrival, my family of 3 was seated fairly quickly in a booth behind another family that appeared to have been served adequately with food and drinks on their table. Chips and salsa arrived at our table almost immediately. However after approximately 10 minutes, no server had come to our table to take even drink orders. My husband tried multiple times to wave down an employee and was blatantly ignored. Finally one employee came to our table after being waved down and said he would check on our server. If our server wasn't available, he'd be right back to take care of us himself. After nearly another 10 minutes, he hadn't returned and neither had any other server. We decided to leave as we had other plans following dinner and no longer cared to give our time or money to this establishment. Not a single employee acknowledged us as we exited. We ended up grabbing fast food (blech) instead so we could make it to our next stop on time. I reached out that evening via their email on their website which states they will respond within 48 hours. It has now been twice that time, and we have heard nothing. Not even an empty apology for our experience. We did not want any compensation, just an explanation or sincere response. I'm not sure if we somehow offended someone working there (though I don't know how when we spoke no one but to kindly ask to check on our server) or if there was some other issue that prevented us from being served, but if that was the case, we would have appreciated a heads up from management to whatever the issue was. I don't think this was the case or we would have heard back from management already I'm sure. To end, I'm just really disappointed we will no longer be able to enjoy what has been a family favorite for many years. I hope other customers are served well in the future. Food and service were great. Got everything in a timely manner. Sat in the back room near the patio and a bit of cold air was getting in so made our table a bit chilly (winter time). As we were getting up to leave we noticed a good size roach coming in under the garage door. We did tell the manager but still a possible problem. read more

Service was good food was bad. We haven't been here in a while decided to dine in. Ordered the fiesta fajitas came out cold vegetables and protein look like they never touched the grill. They reheated the same meat that was soaked in the garlic butter sauce which left it boiled and unappetizing. Manager asked me if it was good I told her no it wasn't and she wanted to know if they could remake it which after waiting for the food twice a third time wasn't an option. We usually have a good experience here but for the first time we did takeout via online ordering and there were mistakes. One of the substitutions was overlooked and they totally forgot to include the toppings for the fajitas. I assume these things were missed due to the fact that the restaurant was trying to figure out what we meant by "don't deep fry the tacos". Other than screwing up the 2 parts of our order, the food we did receive (that was correct) was good. Learned my lesson tho. When ordering more than 3 meals for to-go, call it in. read more

I haven't been to Mi Ranchito lately, though I am sure I will be back there eventually. The employees are always helpful and friendly and the restaurant has a beautiful decor. I have been ordering it delivered lately. I have never had a bad meal from Mi Ranchito, either delivered or in person. It is always good, here, and at the other locations. I ordered deep fried tacos and quesadillas yesterday, and they tasted wonderful, they were priced fairly, and it was exactly what I ordered. I really appreciate the free chips and salsa, as well. So ... EVERYONE in the family loved Mi Ranchito ... possibly until now. My son just returned from doing a carryout order for one of his favorites, a burrito feliz meal. He disappeared into his room to eat his food. Later when I saw him, I asked, "How was your Mi Ranchito?" He say, "Uhhhh, not very good." I was SHOCKED! I asked, "What did you get?" Again, it was the burrito feliz and I asked, "What was wrong with it?" He said: "Well, I think they've changed their espinaca. You know how it's normally white? Today it was yellow." I lost it, saying, "EVERYONE's espinaca is white! You don't swap out yellow cheese in your espinaca!" He agreed saying, "I know and I had the bad fortune of ordering a meal that they pour the espinaca all over it." I was like, "Yes! And MY favorite meal is the nachos! SAME THING! Smothered in espinaca! I would NOT order nachos if I knew it was yellow!" So, WHO KNOWS? Maybe they were out of white cheese today OR (God forbid, they are tampering with their recipe(s), but I'm on high alert that Mi Ranchito "may" have gone from one of our favorite places to eat to a "no go" zone going forward. The best thing about this location is the drive thru! I mean who doesn't love the convenience of a drive thru?? Food here is consistently good. I always set out to try new dishes when we order from here but the Cream Cheese Chicken Enchiladas are still my favorite dish. The Jalisco Chimichanga would probably be a close second. Our waitress was great, the food was great, but a few days after I checked my online bank and noticed I was overcharged. I ordered online for my husband and I during COVID for a pick up order. I know there are hiccups with every company trying to adjust so I want to give them the benefit of the doubt, but this is my only experience at this restaraunt to base my opinion on. We ordered at 6:20. After we paid, we were notified it would be 2 hours before we could pick up our meals. We told ourselves that it was okay because they must be busy with carryout orders. We show up around 8:15 to a crowd of people waiting outside to pick up their order. We asked the staff if our order was ready and were told that they will need an extra two hours to get our food out (eta 10:15 even though they close at 10). We went home because we had groceries in the car and came back around 10ish. After waiting 15 minutes to get a hold of a staff member, we were told that they would not be fulfilling any orders made after 6pm. I understand if they recieved a rush of orders that they might not have had time to fulfill, but I wish we would have been notified before wasting our night starving in their parking lot. They had our phone number and email where we could be notified about canceling our order. We are not even able to get a refund through them. We will have to contact their online order software vendor, menufy. My patience after 4 hours of waiting on a meal that is already paid for but not coming is wearing thin. read more

This is a fantastic mexican joint in Olathe. I love everything I've had here. The chips are amazing, the staff is incredible, the fried ice cream is delicious. I love their mole sauce. I'll even order a side of it to go. It costs a little extra, but it is worth it. The hot salsa is excellent. The verde salsa is excellent. Everything is really good. My go-to menu item is usually the combo 7. Chicken taco, chicken enchilada and chicken burrito. With a side of Mole. The chicken taco is deep fried and crunchy and perfect. The enchilada and burrito taste the same, mainly because they put the enchilada sauce on everything. The rice and beans are above par. But my favorite is the cornball that comes with every entree. I don't know what it is about it, but I love it. My wife hates corn, so I usually get 2. The prices are typical for a mexican restaurant. The staff is incredible. I say it again, incredible. I'm not sure who our waitress was, but a group of 10 showed up at 9:45, 15 minutes before closing, and she told us that as long as we got our order in before 10 she would take care of us. And she did a great job. She took our orders, we didn't feel rushed, she refilled our beverages and did a great job. Another big plus is their drive-thru window. You can call and order carry out and pick it up from the drive-thru window. It's awesome. Just don't forget the hot salsa. They always give plenty of chips and salsa when you carry out.
