I ate all the wings and realized I forgot to take a picture...

I have been here once before, but that was quite some time ago. I have limited vision. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was very dark inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I had to walk up the stairs very carefully in order to stay on my feet without falling.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I made it upstairs and sat at the bar. My overall service from my waiter was mediocre at best. I was charged for eating chips and salsa. I wouldn't have ordered them if he had bothered to let me know. He didn't know that chicken wings were on the menu. I had to tell him that chicken wings were on the menu. My bartender was attentive and engaged. She made an excellent strawberry margarita. She was definitely the reason that I would return and give them another shot... The chicken wings were excellent!!! They were so good that I forgot to take a picture until I had already finished eating... I also forgot to take a picture of my margarita... Believe me, it was delicious!!!

Two Ali is a mom and pop restaurant in downtown Kansas City near Children's Mercy hospital. I got to meet the owner and he told us the story of how the restaurant was named and where is inspiration comes from. The location is great if you are around the area and want a chill outing. The food was good but don't know if I would go out of my way to come all the way down from North Kansas City to grab a bit. I will say staff were friendly and they do a good job of being attentive the customers. The experience here is going to be good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you visit definitely try to sit outside they have great views of the city[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I went here with a group of friends that suggested we eat here. I was not disappointed with the food or the margarita. Service was very quick throughout the night and we were really waiting on anything. Food had good portion size and can out hot. The flavors were good and there was a good balance of all ingredients. Salsa had a really good flavor and it was hard not to eat it all.

My friends and I were in town for a girls trip and had reservations at the Antler Room next door. We had one more person fly in as a surprise and the Antler room could not accommodate one extra person, but luckily Teocali saved the day!! Karen was our waitress and the service was immaculate. She went over and beyond and was so much fun! [[HIGHLIGHT]]They put us on the rooftop and the GM Ed stopped by to say hello![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] He was so friendly and even asked if we liked the music selection! Our drinks were never empty, the food was great and I can't say enough good things about this place! Cheers to Karen and Ed!!

I can't believe I did not know about this AMAZING Mexican food till now. What a hidden Gem!!! The BEST Spicy Margarita I've probably ever had. Their guacamole was the BEST and loved their fish tacos. They have really great lunch options and happy hour. This place was fantastic and great service. I will 10000% be going back. If you love Mexican food and honestly even if you don't you will love this place

Teocali has been added to my list of top Mexican restaurants in KC to visit! The guacamole is incredibly fresh as well as with the house-made salsa. If you are fan of light chips, this is the spot to visit. Along with fresh dips, the margaritas pack a PUNCH! Teocali offers a very affordable lunch menu. If you work in the area, make sure to pop in for a tasty lunch! Top items to order: the chimichanga plate and the tamales plate. Add this spot to your KC restaurant bucket list today!

Not much as far as healthy food other than a couple lackluster salads however they do have a $42 entree which feeds 2-4 people with a pile of tilapia, huge beautifully grilled shrimp (fantastic flavor!), and mussels over a bed of onions. The margaritas all have Tres Agaves margarita mixer in them which is sad and not necessary especially for the skinny margarita which only lists other ingredients on the menu in it and doesn't mention the mixer which is 16 grams of sugar per ounce and about four ounces is used per "skinny" marg rendering it not a "skinny" drink at all and quite misleading for folks w sugar problems like me! Luckily the bartender remade me a marg with only the necessary triple sec, tequila, and lime juice and allowed me to not wreck my glucose too bad that evening.

Got food delivered. The albondigas had layers of flavor! Its the best I've had thus far. This soup is not tomatoey compared to others, which I prefer. And for delivery they packed the soup very well. Highly recommend.

The best part about this experience was being able to eat outside on their patio. The servers were very attentive and checked on us many times even though we were sitting in a corner. I HIGHLY recommend the Flautas Nortenas! They were the perfect portion size for dinner, and the homemade chipotle sauce it comes with was perfect (I asked for sour cream and didn't end up needing it because the chipotle sauce was so good). Their cocktail prices are great, and food prices are average for a Mexican restaurant in this area. The guac was very heavy in tomatoes, just FYI (I'm not a fan but my brother enjoyed it). The fajitas had plenty of sliced meat on top, enough to take home for left overs. The only reason this restaurant didn't get 5 starts was because the cheese dip and salsa was pretty basic, but not bad! I would definitely come here again!

A staff member, for lack of a better word, gave me the cold shoulder and said the kitchen was closed. My wife was still interested in getting some tacos, so I thought about where to go. This place came to mind. We had been there before and had a good experience, and when we got here, there were maybe about 15 minutes before the kitchen closed. I believe the person who said to us was also the manager, a really nice lady. She let us know that the kitchen was closing in about 15 minutes, but we were more than welcome to order and we'd be taken care of. Sure enough, we got a nice seat, good ambience, and a great waiter. They got us a seat, gave us some recommendations on the menu. I ended up ordering the Steak Quesadilla along with the complimentary chips and salsa with the three different types of salsa that they have. Came with that. My wife ended up ordering the Soft Shell Crab Tacos. I'll give the quesadilla a 4 out of 5. Great steak flavor, had some other grilled vegetables on the inside. Not as much cheese as I would like, but it had great flavor. The guacamole that came with it was pretty good. I loved the green salsa that came with the trio of salsas. I'm going to say it's tomatillo. I didn't ask. I'm not sure, but it tasted great. Good portion size, really good waitstaff. He took care of us. I was pleasantly taken care of on my side. My wife had the soft-shell crab tacos, nice and fresh, really big portion. She liked my quesadilla, so she went ahead and ordered her a plate of those as well. She only had about half the quesadilla portion. She had to take the other half to go. She did get a pineapple margarita, which she really enjoyed. She finished that completely. We really enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant. It was nice, and I enjoyed myself. The soft-shell crab was a four out of five for the taco. She was a little thrown by the fact that the shell was still on it, which was a whole thing that she laughed with the waiter about. I'll say that we'll definitely be back to try their brunch, which the manager invited us to. If you've never been to this restaurant, you should definitely give them a try.

We didn't see her again for at least 45 minutes. I had to ask another server to check on my drink. We waited an eternity for my friend to order her drink and to order our food. A guy came over and introduced himself as our server. Shockingly, our initial server that went MIA, delivered us one of the dishes we had ordered. The food was great but the flies on the patio were insane. Ultimately, we finished our drinks and dessert inside at the bar. That was also a strange interaction. The bartender and our server were both very awkward about us moving inside. Given the service snafu and the swarm of flies, one would think they'd be friendlier. Anyhow, the food was great. We shared the aguachile shrimp, chicken fajitas, enchiladas and tres leche cake. We both had a couple margaritas which were delicious. I'd probably come back but sit inside and hope for a smoother service experience.

Living in South…read moreFlorida influenced me to learn much more about Latin foods which are much more diverse than Mexican. I've had a very hard time finding much Latin diversity here so far but for Mexican this is quite good. I've mostly gotten combo platters because I like the variety. I believe every combo platter should come with rice and beans. I can tell how authentic a place is by the beans and salsa quite often. So far I've liked the combo platters and the taco salad that I tried. Again, if I remember correctly, I had to pay extra to get beans on my taco salad. That would be one complaint I have. Beans should be a staple and come with everything unless the person doesn't want them. The service has been good. No complaints and it's been busy when we've eaten there usually during lunch hours. The decor and ambiance is pretty typical Mexican. Nothing fancy. The one thing I will note is I didn't see any Mexicans working there. Maybe someone in the kitchen I can't see so that's usually not a great sign. I know they've been around a long time. I'd probably go a smidge lower to 3.5 if I could just because I'm rather picky about Mexican and Latin food but I don't think it's fair to go down to 3 so I'm rounding up. The prices seem a bit high but everything is so expensive in 2026! They are probably pretty average for eating out and I'm sure it's costing them more just like all the rest of us have seen food prices sky rocket over the past year. I would certainly recommend them for a lunch bite and a nice Mexican American experience.

They do bring your food out in a reasonable amount of time, delivered to your table. You have a number that attaches to a metal wand that they give to you. Nobody ever closed the door, but I ordered the Asada fries. 3/5 heavy on the seasoning, but not so much on the flavor, it came across. It's kind of salty. I thought it would be different than what it was. The portion size was fine, and the green sauce that they offer you on the side really makes it better. Also ordered the CHORI queso dip lied on the chorizo for the portion size. The flavor was also a three out of five. The chip that they give you with it has a nice, good texture and reasonable seasoning. My wife had the mushroom Tinga tacos. She gave him four out of five. She really enjoyed them. The food was done at the quoted time and was accurate. The one individual I encountered was friendly. The menu was very straightforward-tacos, burritos, and a few other items, all can be customized. I had to get an order of chips and queso. I really liked their queso. It had good flavor and wasn't overly spicy. The chips were fresh and held up to the queso nicely. I'm definitely probably alway going to order this when I go. I also tried a taco with carne asada. The tacos are the street variety but they are really good sized. They don't skimp on the meat. And the carne asada was really good. No gristle or gross bits. It was chopped finely and I'd definitely order it again. I also had to try a burrito. I tried the El pastor for that and added on all the toppings-cheese, sour cream, lettuce, tomato, and avocado. I also opted for extra meat because it was super cheap-like $1, so why not? Again, I was not disappointed. I did throw my burrito on the good 'ol George Foreman when I got home because they don't grill it at all and I wanted some grill marks on that tortilla. Otherwise, the el pastor was flavorful and tender and the toppings were all fresh. Per usual, my eyes were bigger than my stomach so I saved half of my burrito, but it was a welcome leftover meal the following day. This place is great if you love variety because you can order multiple tapas and share with the table, and/or just enjoy for yourself! I have tried their Paella Mariscos, Breakfast Paella, and one other, all were SO delicious! The shrimp were cooked especially well and the servings are generous enough for multiple helpings. Their sangria rojo is delicious, as are their wine offerings (I love a place that offers flights!) And they have great discounts each day of the week. If you like coffee, their Spanish coffee comes with a fiery performance by the servers - it was beautiful and so delicious! I really want to compliment their hospitality and attentiveness for the birthday brunch. We had a party of 8 and ordered a ton of tapas to share and the staff/kitchen timed their delivery perfectly along with entree delivery and drink refills so our table was pretty busy. Overall two great experiences, super delicious food, and lots of options so you can try something new with every visit! I'm already looking forward to going back
