We came in as a group right after they opened, and everything was great from the start. The interior was really charming--each chair was handmade and hand-painted, which added a special touch. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure all our orders were correct even with a large group. Pretty good Mexican food in Burlington and there's a number of good Mexican places in the town and surrounding area as well. The nachos were good, lots of melted cheese and good guacamole. I particularly liked how they baked or broiled the nachos to get a nice crisp on the cheese and chips. The pork burritos were pretty good but because of the size of the burrito, the underside of the tortilla was a little undercooked. It had good flavor though. read more

Mi Mexico has been great until the last 3 times we went. The food used to be amazing but it's been really inconsistent. One order I get 2.5oz of carne asada and the next time I got 4.9oz of carne asada. If you are watching what you eat then you can't count on them because you never know what quantity you will get. Tonight was the deal breaker. Ordered Camarones Mojo De Ajo. It says it comes in a garlic sauce so I assumed the red liquid with tons of minced garlic was the sauce but I was wrong. It was massive quantities of grease with flavorless minced garlic. The shrimp was overcooked and both the shrimp and mushrooms had zero taste. I had all three of us eating have have fork full of the minced garlic and none of us tasted anything. It was not seasoned at all! The only good thing about the meal was the beans. Did I call the manager and complain? No. I don't want my food remade and I ate what I could so they don't need to refund me. I used to go here once a week but never again. read more

The restaurant is for no one. The drinks are terrible mixer drinks. A fresh/no mixer margarita is super easy to make but every drink included it. I asked if they make margarita without a mix and he said no. The food is bland and plated without any care. The only good thing on the plate was the refried beans. Everything seems to be made with the same ingredients. I know Jim Gaffigan made a joke about Mexican restaurants dishes being basically the same thing but Mexican Mi takes that stereotype as a mission statement. They serve guacamole in a Molcajete but it clearly isn't made in it. As for guacamole, let's not speak of it. The wait and host staff are very nice but work like they are bored out of their mind. Huevos yi mas!!! Finally have a day off, and was craving a great breakfast- this is my wife's first time having a Mexican breakfast, and amazingly she nearly finished it! If you're really hungry for a great breakfast meal, skip the traditional stuff just once and try this dish. I've eaten here before and I can never remember if I like it or not. I have had hairs in my food here before (not appetizing), but they were really nice about making a new plate quickly. The service is fast. Overall, not the worst thought of a restaurant. I normally have enchiladas, but I tried something different. I had the fried ice cream, huge disappointment. The outside tasted like it was frost bitten, and the cornflake outside was stale, the oil that they fried it in seemed old and it was oozing into the ice cream when you open it up...not ideal I tried the quesadilla as well, I think you could probably make a better one at home. I have solidified that I'd rather eat chipotle or something other than here, sorry Mi Mexico. read more

It was delicious! I came in and ordered late on Friday and they brought me the BEST wet burrito I've ever had! The steak was flame grilled and juicy, marinated perfectly. The verde sauce was fresh and had nice pop to it. After a week of working in this cold, it hit the spot like no other, and was the best meal I'd had in months! My friend had the chicken chimichanga and said he was going to get it every time he's in the area. I'm not sure why so many people think they're food critics and can't just enjoy cheap, fresh and fast Mexican food...? Seems everyone thinks they know it all today. They don't. Mi Mexico has an attractive menu with a good selection of Tex-Mex dishes and good variety of items. Their combination plates had all the needed variety and considerable flexibility. We visited Mi Mexico for lunch on a snowy day and there were few customers. We were warmly welcomed and given chips and salsa, water, and menus. The server arrived quickly and took our orders. I had a small combination with chili Ellen and enchilada, rice and beans and slaw. My wife had a two taco combination. The food came quickly and tasted good. The sauces had variety but perhaps needed a little more flavor. We enjoyed our lunch and the price was less than $30. We will come back if we pass through Burlington again as the food was better than the several Mexican restaurants we have tried in Bothell. read more

I really wanted to give this place a chance. Our usual place wasn't open during the shelter in place. The inside decor is a bit tacky and inauthentic, but again I wanted to give it a chance. I spent 80 dollars for three and it was definitely not worth it. As many other posts have said the beans are watered down, the cheese is chewy and yet hard at the same time?? The tacos fell apart and when you picked it up the soggy hard shell tortilla gave way and the insides splattered on the plate. The "enchilada" only had cheese on the outer tortilla and inside had watered down boiled chicken. If you want authentic Mexican food you need look no further than across the street. Taqueria Los Jarritos is authentic, unpretentious and delicious. Trust me. Also, you'll spend much less! Learned a valuable lesson, never again!! read more

We got Mar y Tiera (carne asada and shrimp with mushroom sautéed in butter and Mexican seasonings, served with rice and beans). The mushrooms and shrimp were over cooked and lacked flavor. Good salsa. Chips were ok and plentiful. Prices seem a bit high for the area as there are many decent Mexican restaurants and the prices here are higher than our usual favorites. Entrees were good, not outstanding. I had the Molcajete which was ok, just not what I was expecting. It was almost $20 and I wouldn't order it again. Everyone else seemed satisfied with their meals. Their menu is excellent so many Mexican dishes to chose from, our favs are the,wet burritos (enough for 2 meals), and the steak chimichunga , in reality you can't go wrong with any meal on the menu. The only thing I won't buy is a side of guacamole, very small container for 10.00, too steep for me. The proprietors of the restaurant are the nicest people, they help you if you have a lot to go by opening door and help you to your car if needed.
