Yummmmmy! Great portions of tasty food. Speedy and friendly service. Salsa is flavorful. Next time will try the guacamole.

This place is bomb! Reminds me of traditional Mexican restaurants I used to go to as a kid with a kind staff and tasty well priced food. Speaking of food, there are a lot of options to choose from and a decent drink menu as well. Service is always quick for chip and drink refills and the staff always have a smile on their face. Price wise you can't get much better than this. It's about average for Mexican food maybe a little but lower but what makes them stand apart is the extremely large servings that they provide for the price. You can easily take left overs home regardless of if you come in slightly hungry or starving. Overall, I'd highly recommend but expect the place to always be packed so it may find a few minutes to find a good spot in the parking lot. read more

I have been wanting to try this place for a while ; went there relatively late , however restaurant was full . Ordered fajitas and chili relleno. The chili was stuffed with cheese and was ok . Fajitas consisted mainly of onions and peppers with some overcooked steak and chicken . Overall food wasn't what I expected. Quality improvement is needed to justify the price point . It will not be my first choice for Mexican food in town . read more

I was at Bellingham with my besty last saturday and I really missed dining here with her. Visited here about once or twice already the portion of the food is huge like usual and the food was great. I got Beef Carnitas (lunch special $9.49) with Horchata ($2.95) and besty got Seafood Chimichanga ($14.99) with coke ($2.75). I really liked Beef Carnitas it was fresh and delicious. It also had so much flavours. My besty found her food to be okay. As I mentioned earlier the food portion was huge, so I ended up taking left over home. Besty did the same. Free tortilla chips was great. My besty found salsa to be a bit watery. Food was great. I just didn't like TOO much ice in Horchata. Ask for less ice. Service was fast. Great place to fill up your tummy. I ate the left over for my lunch next day. read more

Classic American Mexican except I had the super burrito with carne asada and it was light on cheese, not refried beans, and 100% delicious. My boy has tacos and they were huge for $5.50/each. Solid spot, definitely going back. read more

The food here is so good, we came here after an unfortunate departure of another restaurant. The friendly welcome was immediate by both the manager and staff It's actually quite large, fun deco and quick service with great margaritas!! We had the chimichanga and steak tacos and both were delicious especially the steak, it gives u a great savory punch. The portions were pretty big and the menu even bigger you will definitely find what your looking for here Did you know that the beautiful chairs is this place are all unique and made by hand by an ex employee in Mexico read more

A welcoming spacious clean dining area. A massive menu to peruse and should meet all desires. Our server Manuel was friendly, informative and attentive (not "pressuring") which is valued for new customers. The food was served hot with large portions. Since we were there just for a lunch we shared the plate pictured. Must say the flavors were definitely "spicy", not overwhelming for us but may be a reason some see it more of a "Tex Mex" than true "Mexican"! The pork in all was super flavorful and tender with a perfect rice accompanying. My only criticism of our choices is that the tamale was not cooked well, the masa was undercooked and soft making it difficult to eat after removing the husks and diminished the flavor. Will return to sample the seafood selections for dinner. read more

My family has been eating at Mi Mexico for over 20 years. We have never had a bad meal. The food is awesome and the potions are big. The staff are friendly and attentive. The restaurant is festive. You will not be disappointed read more

We stopped in around 9 after a show, and the service was great. They were friendly and attentive. I ordered enchiladas divorciados and loved the chicken enchilada with cream sauce. I didn't care for the flavor of the red chipotle sauce. It was a ton of food, and love the slaw they serve too. Pretty tasty spot. Salsa is great with a kick too. Bright interior, and family friendly. I'd go Barack. read more

Mi Mexico is a typical Mexican restaurant in the Pacific Northwest. The atmosphere is good and the service is as well. The food however is bland and just boring. read more

Very friendly service. Food was great! I got the pollo asado burrito to go. Great flavor, large burrito. And very yummy chips to go with it. Great for someone traveling and looking for a later dinner option. read more

Good food, friendly service, and fast. The portions are large and the food is fresh. We picked up dinner on 2 separate occasions. The only reason I am not giving the 5 stars. Is the difference between our order the first time and the second time. The first time we got food there. Our meals were loaded with meat. The second time, barely had any meat. The inconsistency between the meals was a bummer. read more

After one very, very long and hectic day of doing too much in too little time, we finally decided that drinks and dinner would mark the end of the day, and we wanted this event to be relaxing. Being in a city that I had no information about, Yelp came to the rescue. For some reason Mexican was on our minds (subliminal margarita messages from somewhere) and we came across this place. The decision was an easy one and delivered VERY fast. One fishbowl sized margarita and a chicken chimichanga. The chimi was well cooked... not greasy tasting at all. The chicken was very moist and tender. Rice and beans were good as well. Portions were perfect sized. For what is worth, this is the first place where I was warned that the plate was hot, and it actually it was. (yeah, dumb move, I know) The margarita... ahhhhhhhhh mucho refreshing! Service was very, very good and friendly. I actually felt welcomed there. If your heading up or down the 5, this is a worthwhile stop, and not too far off the freeway. read more

Good food for how fast you get it. Everything seems premade and thrown in the oven to warm it. Some items are way too cheesy and I have to peel it all off. Tastes semi authentic. read more

Love this place! Consistently great service and quality food. Nice quiet atmosphere, been there 5-6 times in the last 3 months, never disappointed! read more

Grabbed dinner here with a friend. The food was decent, however the service was not great at all. Our waitress never refilled our drinks or checked on us, & just brought us the bill, didn't ask if we wanted dessert or if we wanted to split the bill. Was extremely disappointed, we were hoping for some dessert & some more water! Over all wasn't a terrible experience but I won't be going back. read more

Went down to the states for a few hours to shop. Feeling pretty hungry, I was like... "Dang I need some grub... But I don't wanna break the bank." So me and a few decided to go Mi Mexico. Been here numerous times but never really gave it a review. The atmosphere was great! It's very welcoming once you walk in. A little bit after your seated they bring you fresh made chips and salsa, for you to munch on as you decide on the meal your about to have. We had a few rounds of chips and eventually got a side of guac to accompany the chips. There are plenty of options on the menu. If you are an indecisive person, this is the wrong place for you! Haha But in all honesty if you are coming in for lunch, I'd recommend going to the lunch special page... It narrows it down for you a lot. I got the burrito loco this time around. Usually I get it with chicken, but I felt adventurous and went with the steak. I did not regret it at all. Steak was moist and flavourful, and the texture was perfect. I tend to stay away from steak cuz other Mexican places I go to usually overcook it. Which makes it kinda gross. The fixings inside and outside the burrito was fresh and flavourful. I recommend you come by here for a cheap meal that will fill ya up! read more

My whole visit here was very good. The staff were pleasant, if a smidge hasty. My sun-burnt co-worker didn't have anything really special, while I got the Mucho Flaco Burrito and Churros (not-listed for some reason). -Mucho Flaco Burrito: Fresh, light and healthy. Awesome choice of ingredients and I really loved the cilantro in this. Plus, a nice presentation, as well. -Churros: Oh, how I've missed Churros! These were great. Not too large, just small enough and awesome. Good chewy balance. Comes with whipped cream and some chocolate syrup around the plate. The co-worker said the place is different compared to a year ago. Indeed, it looks much nicer with better decor and I believe a name change. Great food. read more

Friendly staff, ample seating, typical huge menu. My tamale was super dry but had good flavor. My son had a 3 enchilada sampler which he loved. The beef filled enchilada was a little skimpy on the filling but the chicken made up for it. Solid choice for the typical sit down Mexican food restaurant. read more

I love this restaurant! Mi Mexico serves up delicious Mexican food in a fun, colorful dining room. The servers are quite friendly and quick to anticipate your needs. The food is very good with generous portions served piping hot. I had the chicken mole, which was quite flavorful without being overly sweet. My husband went for the chicken enchiladas; they were cheesy and had a wonderful flavor. Both dishes looked wonderful and tasted even better. Just out of curiosity I ran my finger over the window sill and a checked few often-neglected areas for cleanliness and it was all quite clean. They obviously take great pride in maintaining the restaurant. This is a huge plus for me. This is our go-to Mexican restaurant and we will definitely return. read more

When I want really good Mexican for a reasonable price I head over the border to Mi Mexico in Bellingham. The service is friendly, the décor is bright and uplifting and it is always busy which is a good sign. Their Carne Asada platter is so tender and delicious as is the carne asada quesadilla. The taco salads are great for a less filling meal. The tortilla soup is filled with chicken and avocado and the chimichangas are crispy and filled with delicious meat, topped off with guacamole, cheese and sour cream. This place cant be beat. read more

Had dinner here one evening - ordered the Chorizo Burrito. While waiting for my food, they brought out a basket of chips with salsa. The salsa had a nice depth of flavor and just a hint of heat, I would have preferred an even spicier salsa, but it was tasty. My Chorizo Burrito came out, smothered in queso sauce and diced tomatoes. I asked for hot sauce, they brought me out a bottle of Tapatio - a standard Mexican hot sauce - which I don't consider to be very hot, plus two whole grilled Jalapeños. I added a good bit of the hot sauce to the Burrito and munched down the Jalapeños in between bites of Burrito. Overall the Burrito was good, I thought the Chorizo in the Burrito was a little overly greasy, but it had good flavor. The Jalapeños they brought me had better heat than the Tapatio hot sauce. Service was good! Everyone was very friendly. I would come back here again! read more

Shortly after we were seated out drink orders were taken and shortly after that they arrived and we ordered out food. Got the taquito ranchero appetizer and they were perfectly crispy and had lots of other stuff on the plate. I got a chimichanga it was cooked just perfectly nice and crispy with great flavor. The enchiladas deluxe was huge! And again cooked just right and had great flavor. We did not have any issues with service this time everyone was very friendly and patient. I had a lunch menu, Camerones a la crema ($9.49). Huge portion, a lot of cheese and sour cream, too heavy for me and was able to eat only a quarter portion. Not much flavor either. Probably it would've been perfect for a hungry teenager boy. I didn't like salsa in this restaurant. Service was great, server was friendly. Large portion, price is very reasonable and nice atmosphere. I need to try other menus, something lighter next time to see if I like the taste of their other menu. read more

The service wasn't great (lack of water and check) and my food wasn't either. I had the Expresso Burrito Vegetarian, and it came with a weirdly sweet sauce that I wasn't a fan of. My partner did enjoy his food enough, but I believe we both found it to be very "meh" overall. It seems fairly comparable to other Mexican restaurants, however after not loving the food I think I may pass on going here again. read more
