We started off with chips, salsa, and an order of queso. The salsa had a kick to it. Not in heat/warmth but in actual flavor, so did the queso, which I was not expecting but was happily surprised by! I got the Birria Ramen. It was an ever so slightly spicy bowl of ramen with eggs where instead of a traditional bowl of broth, the ramen was sitting in a bowl of birria (stew). There was cheese on top (and I added some queso that we didn't finish with our chips) and it tasted really good. My friend got the Torta de Birria, a Mexican sandwich with onions & cilantro that came with fries and birria broth. He gave me a bite and the bread was outstanding. It was fluffy but dense and held together really well. I didn't try the fries, but they looked delicious. The presentation of both meals was pleasant. They came out on thick cutting boards which I thought was cute. The service was pretty slow, but we came right at the top of rush, so that might've been our own fault. The vibe is loud and vibrant. It was a little loud for them, but they had a great time dancing and admiring all the sparklers on drinks, etc My chicken fajitas were excellent and my husband loved his steak quesadilla. My kids had the grilled cheese and chicken tenders and both liked their food. This was a fun place for an evening out, but my kids got tired of the loud drums. There was a large party so service was a little wonky - we got half of our food and had to wait a while for the other half of the entrees. Loved everything from start to finish. We were invited by friends to celebrate a birthday and I was a bit intimidated by the prices and other reviews. I want to give it a better review because the food was really good, but unfortunately I have to credit this to the service. We ordered chorizo queso we never got. Had to ask for our regular queso after our meal was delivered. I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak burrito, which was good. But it's definitely American-Mexican. The drinks may look super impressive but I ordered a Strawberry Daiquiri and got a frozen Strawberry Margarita. These are two extremely different drinks. I was actually asked if I wanted tequila or rum and reiterated I wanted a daiquiri with rum. This was so disappointing because the pour was so strong I couldn't even fake liking it. I believe part of this may have been a language barrier but maybe less fancy sparkles and brush up on bartending knowledge! The vibe is cool and the decor is nice, plenty of setting. It took me wayyyyyyy too long to take my cousins and Mama to Mi Cozumel. We finally visited this weekend and needless to say we will definitely return when they visit me in the future. The presentation inflamboyance of the drinks immediately caught our eyes. I will say the drink menu is a tad bit overwhelming and I wish they had descriptions so I didn't have to ask our waitress so many questions about what each drink contained. We all enjoyed our drinks and our entrees. I would love to go back when we have more time to devote and could drink a little more honestly. We visited downtown Cincinnati this weekend and after an event, we decided to walk from our hotel to grab a drink and dessert. I ordered a house margarita and my husband ordered a margarita with mezcal. We also ordered one order of churros and one flan. Our waiter was very energetic and nice. He told my husband that "he got the worm" in his maragarita and that he brought us something special so we return in the future. My margarita was pretty good, but nothing spectacular. Came in a sugar skull glass, maybe 12oz, they were presented in a chest, with sparklers and a bunch of things on top. We did not order anything special. The churros were brought in a cart, they were Oreo and not the plain ones we ordered, again with sparklers. They were okay, but not what we ordered and we were not given the option to change. We let it go because it wasn't worth sending it back that late at night. However, when our check came it was $75. We were charged for two premium patron margaritas. We didn't order premium. They were $30 each. We paid our check but after that experience, we will never return or recommend your restaurant in the future. You waiter is a bit of con artist it seems. No one asked for patron, or premium margaritas. Not to mention, we both drink margaritas regularly. They were not made with patron, which is a familiar taste. Patron does not make a mezcal with a worm. The drinks can get a little pricey but it's worth for all the extra effort they put into making them. The food prices are about average. The food was tasty. Hands down, THEE BEST Mexican restaurant I've dined at in my life! From beginning to end, the experience was top-notch. We waited only 5 minutes to be seated inside upon arrival at 824pm on a Saturday. I was impressed. Once seated, we were promptly given complimentary chips, salsa, and queso! The drink list is expansive, and they all were visually intriguing. I ended up with the fish bowl, and it was PERFECT! It came recommended by the waitress. She also recommended the queso birrias, and they were equally as good as her drink recommendations. I added the street corn as a side, but the side that topped the entire meal was the tableside FRESH guacamole. Oh my goodness, the level of freshness and taste was phenomenal. I clearly couldn't finish this whole meal because as you dine the atmosphere is so vibrant, loud, and entertaining that you had to stop and dance with all the entertainment that came around the restaurant. I ate my food the next day, and the guacamole hadn't turned brown, and the chips were still crunchy..... why I have never!!!!????(had that happen before). We came here for our weekly date night as neither of us had ever been before. The ambiance and decor was good, service was fast, and we observed their over the top birthday song for someone which was highly entertaining. The menu is huge. That being said, everything is incredibly expensive. We thought it would be priced like Cancun or your typical Mexican restaurant, but this was much more expensive. Your average meal is $15-20 and many were more like $30 and up. Their drinks are super fancy and over the top, but one margarita was $18 and seems outrageous. I got the Hawaiian Fajitas. The menu says all fajitas come with refried beans and guac (which is why I order fajitas), but it didn't come with the order so I asked the server for them. The said the Hawaiian and shrimp fajitas don't come with those, then showed me the menu again, which did not say anywhere that those items aren't included. It's says they ARE included largely at the top, so I was a bit frustrated. I ended up ordering a side of refried beans because that is my favorite old at Mexican restaurants. However, the fajitas were tasty and I loved that it was served in a pineapple boat. It only came with 3 tortillas which is not much for the amount of food you get. My husband got the chorizo burrito and said it was super delicious and quality chorizo. I took his guac since mine didn't come any each platter also came with a cornbread tomalito, which tasted sort of like a corn cake (sweet like dessert) which was different and tasty with cute presentation.
