Had lunch fajita and very disappointed. Where most Mexican restaurants serve there fajita's with guacamole, sour cream, and pico de gallo, only rice and beans came with this entree. Very disappointed. We've ate here before and loved it but family took me out to eat today for my birthday and we got our food way later than another group that was seated after us. They took our order and my daughter did not get her food until time to leave because they had to remake it 3 times (how hard is it to put no onions or peppers on something?). When we went to check out I mentioned it and got a whopping $1.50 discount for our "inconvenience"! I might be old but I remember when customer satisfaction was a real thing. We waited over an hour to be seated. We were told that it would be a 20 minute wait. I was served cold queso. A 13 year old boy came over to see if we needed anything. Is child labor not a thing in Missouri. I order the mid casa fajitas. They had no onions or peppers. No seasoning. It was very blah. The bacon tasted like it came from the microwave. Not crispy. What a nice surprise to find in Doniphan, MO. We had a party of 12 extended family members. They put together a large table in a room separate from the main dining room. It was large enough to be very comfortable and the decor was bright and festive. The waiter conversed pretty well in English, but it was rather loud and he may have had difficulty hearing us. However, our orders were accurate and delivered just a short time later. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food and especially the MARGARITAS! Next time we're in Doniphan we will be back. read more

Don't let the rustic exterior fool you... the food here is top-notch! Service was excellent and hot, tasty, authentic Mexican food came out promptly. We had delicious burritos. Mi Casa is a good place to dine for good service and hot food served quickly. The staff is very efficient, and they converse well in both English and Spanish. Prices are good, and the menu has many choices for both adults and children. They accept cash, checks, and credit cards. Their parking is adequate, but be careful backing up or you may hit something. The lot is narrow and guided by steel posts. The dining rooms are well decorated and cheerful. You can even have an alcoholic beverage with your meal. There is one step up onto a curb, making it easily accessible for handicapped and elderly. Unless your children really like Mexican food, this probably won't be their favorite place to eat. The Down side: One (very!) small bathroom that is shared by men and women, as well as employees, which I find (very) yuck! Please improve our dining experience by installing another BATHROOM! Overall, they do a good job, and provide one of the BEST places to eat in this small town. You will be pleasantly surprised how fast your food arrives at the table. Just don't drink too much, or you will be forced to visit their bathroom. read more

Mi Casa is the absolute BEST place to eat in Doniphan Mo! I go every chance I get. Veronica the owner always tries to make sure everything is perfect. I love their salsa and chips. The chips they have now are even better than the ones they did carry. My kids love the cheese dip. I get the vegetarian F dish...and my kids are hooked on the bean burrito kids plate with rice and beans. My husband likes the Shrimp Chef's Special. Call them to order to go also at 351-1090.
