The food was an absolute 5 star. The 4 stars was for the smell of smoke. When we first walked in, a very strong scent of cigarette smoke was lingering in the hostess area. It was so strong, I had to ask if they allowed smoking. No, they do not do no explanation. The good news is that if you sit further into the restaurant, you can't smell it. The food... wow! The salsa that comes with the chips at the table was perfectly spiced. We checked in on Yelp so we got a free queso dip, which we both mixed with the salsa. I had the Tacos Carne Azada Especiales (not positive on spellings). My husband had the Enchiladas Especiales. On the tacos, the combination of steak and Avocado were so delicious on these soft corn tortillas. Plenty of food for such a low price! My husband really enjoyed his enchiladas as well. Was staying in town for the night and decided to good some take out from here. Very impressed for coming in 10 minutes before they close, and taking it to go! The guacamole was spectacular, although being from Texas we wish it was just a tad spicier. We enjoyed everything we got, including the enchiladas and the tacos. I asked if we could do the free queso even though we were taking it to go and the guy was more than willing. For coming in so late the service was quick, yet everything came out as I suspect it would have if we were there an hour before; and everyone who helped us was helpful and very friendly. Fresh Tasting, Good Food ~ Slow Service We were traveling through and discovered this restaurant through Yelp. Because we arrived in Poplar Bluff late, we were limited in our options. We gave this place a chance. We got there around 45 minutes before closing time. We ordered. The food arrived quicker than I expected and we were very surprised, it was quite fresh tasting, with lots of flavor. The service given by our server was rather slow. Not sure if that's their norm, or if it's because we arrived before closing time and he was wanting to finish his "closing chores" and get out of there. The other thing I think people should know, is that the restaurant smelled like cigarette smoke. They don't allow smoking in the restaurant, we figured it was because they share a wall with a bar.
