Service by Kirstlyn T was amazing. Very professional young lady. Ambiance great no issues, restaurant was very clean Food was good. Sweet potato fries IMO need to be cooked longer, chips were ok but everything else no issues. Will return again read more

Great food and great service! We went there twice while visiting Popular Bluff. Appetizers were delicious and they had a great variety to choose from. We had a big party and everyone enjoyed what an ordered. Would definitely recommend! read more

The food is great. Some of the best in Poplar Bluff. The service has been slower from time to time. It's a typical sports bar feel, with a family friendly vibe. read more

Stopped here while visiting family and chose it because it was listed as pet friendly with an outdoor covered enclosed patio, which was awesome on a breezy day. My husband ordered a burger and fries. He said both were good. I ordered the southwest chicken salad. I hate to say it, but it was a pretty sad salad for the price ($15). I was really excited by the description, but the actual salad left me disappointed. The chicken was supposed to be fajita seasoned yet it was fairly bland. The dressing was described as southwest ranch, yet it tasted more like plain ranch. And the black bean corn salsa? I had to search hard for it. I would guess one spoonful of it. I have had much better salads. On the upside, the server was quick, friendly and attentive, even with us being out on the patio. read more

Fantastic Wings & Friday Night Vibes We stopped in while traveling through Missouri on our way back home to North Carolina, and this place was a gem! We ordered the spicy garlic wings, lemon pepper dry rub, and the Parmesan chicken--every bite was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. The restaurant is casual and conveniently located just across the interstate from a high school football stadium. The outdoor seating was perfect for enjoying the sounds of the Friday night game, adding a fun and local vibe to the evening. Service was excellent, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was just right. Whether you're a local or just passing through, we highly recommend stopping by this nice spot for a great meal and a relaxing experience. read more

We live 2 hours away . We ate here last year and it was great and decided to eat there again today. We ordered the chicken tacos and the shrimp tacos with onion rings fries and slaw. The slaw looked and tasted as if it prepared yesterday. The food was barely warm and the service wasn't great. I could go into more detail but I'll just leave it at that. Maybe it will be better next time. read more

Highly recommend, this is Hands down BEST salmon (whisky salmon) I've ever put in my mouth! Idk how they do this but oh my mouth orgasm! On a stop over on our way to Nashville. Food was good. Service was good. Lots of local people coming in with TV heir children after little league baseball. Fun place. read more

Atmosphere was great. Now to start. You have to yell your order over the bar so they can put it in the computer. French fries were cold. The one bartender was her last shift so talked about her move. One bartender actually used a flosser to clean her teeth. Also played with her hair to put it up in a ponytail. I could go on and on. Only good thing is some nice man put the football game on with no closed caption, and the beer was great. Poplar Bluff Missouri. read more

Good food. Husband had the chicken and shrimp. I had the po boy. Both were very good.

Can't believe this is the best Poplar Bluff has to offer. I make better wings at home. This place is overpriced and overrated. Food quality is almost always inconsistent. Presentation upon delivery is below average. It's sad read more

Great bar staff, local hangout vibe. My wife is celiac so finding great food that taste good and is safe for her to eat is a must. This establishment is not that place sadly. We love stopping in for a beverage but thats about all my wife can have here. We'll keep stopping by... read more

We went with a party of 7 on a Sunday around noon. We were seated quickly and our server was super sweet and knowledgeable of the menu. She was very quick on refills of drinks and our bottomless mimosas. The menu is really big! We aren't local, so I'm bummed it will be awhile before trying again. I ordered the smothered Cali burrito and my husband ordered the shrimp po boy. His sandwich was really good, and the fries were excellent. Very crispy - my favorite! The burrito was just ok. I don't blame the restaurant, as they probably just follow a specific recipe given. It was really lacking flavor and had way too much melted cheese. Which is my fault. I should have taken note of the word "smothered" in the food description. Not their fault! I think the recipe itself could be tweaked, but that's me being nit picky. My husband is a huge bourbon/whiskey fan, so he was excited to see their special spirit menu was quite large. I know he wants to go back just to try more bourbon! I would definitely go back and hope to try more off their menu someday! read more

Just a great neighborhood restaurant bar feel. All of the staff is friendly and the food is always good

Love the pork chops. Great service. Great ambiance. Haven't had a bad entree yet. Everything is good.

Burgers, wings, beer, and bourbon. Easy to like. Was across from the hotel well worth the walk.

Food was delicious my steak was cooked exactly how I wanted it!! Our waitress was polite and efficient. We were seated in a comfortable booth. If I were staying longer in the area I would come back. read more

The atmosphere here is nice, feels like our Ale House back home in Florida. The service was not as pleasant. We waited over an hour for food that was lacking flavor and too many things way over cooked on our party of 9's table, sadly. This place definitely has potential, we just didn't get them on a good night we are thinking. read more

Big Whiskey's - Poplar Bluff - Turkey burger that was burnt & lacked flavor. - Sports Bars Near Me - Poplar Bluff, Missouri

Big Whiskey's was a disappointing experience. We've been here for about 40 minutes and have only received our drinks, despite the restaurant not being busy at all. The long wait with no food or updates from staff made the service feel inattentive and unorganized. While the atmosphere is fine, the lack of timely service really took away from the experience and left us frustrated. Overall, it's hard to enjoy a place when the wait is this long without any clear reason or communication. read more

Welcome to your off-brand Applebee's experience, that no one asked for. The food is, as expected, fine - but nothing to write home about.

This was pretty mid. We've come here twice, the first time our food was good & flavorful. The second time, we waited 15 minutes to get seated, on a completely empty night, until we decided to leave. Im sure others have had good experiences here but not us. read more

Absolutely a hidden gem in poplar bluff! Wonderful service, best steak I've had in a long time! Child friendly environment and down home theme!! Guiness was poured correctly!!! Plus plus plus ! Will be returning read more

Nice place, good drink selection, menu looks great but the product just falls short. I've yet to have any food item there that I liked enough to ever order again. read more

Hardly anybody here when we went in. About a 45 minute wait the place started to fill up. The hostess sat us at a table and placed the silverware on the table, no napkins. Silverware was dirty and we didn't like the fact that it wasn't wrapped in a napkin. We ordered the Big Easy meals and they were tasteless. Wasn't impressed with the meals at all. Walked away disappointed. read more

Stop at Big Whiskey because it was close to hotel without any research. Both of us loved it! The staff were super friendly & the environment fun with the whiskey theme. But the best part was the food!!! I had the brunch melt & my husband the bourbon glazed pork chops. Good was amazing & reasonable priced. Excellent read more

Passing through. It looked like a nice place. The food was passable for the most part. Nothing great. We both ordered burgers and fries. My burger was a mess? The whole burger had slide across the plate. This happened before it left the kitchen where it should have been corrected. How do I know? My husband had twice the amount of fries on his plate. Mine had only what the plate would allow around the messed up burger, about half. The sauce was all over the plate, not on the burger. Accidents happened, but when they do, you try to make it right. A young man, not our waitress, kept coming over. When I commented on the food being a mess, he kept sarcastically commenting back like yeah they are always like that. Which of course they are NOT as my husband's burger was fine. He was just being an ass with no intention of doing anything about it. What a jerk. It would have been better for him to stop asking about it since he had no intention of fixing the mistake. We make this drive a couple times a year. We won't be back. Service being the reason. Can't recommend this place for that reason. Looking over other reviews, I'd have to say, they are consistently inconsistent. read more

Excellent Service! Food was cold. Onion Rings & FF's cold. Ordered Brownie Skillet for dessert. The brownie was cold. The ice cream was definitely cold and not melted at all. We were very happy about the Service, our waitress was great and the food is fast, but unfortunately the food that was supposed to be warm was cold!! read more

Food is average. Service okay. Not some place we would visit again. One meal came out incorrectly and was redone. A lot of their business must be driven by the proximity of a hotel and no other sit down eateries close by. read more

This has been our favorite place to go. We have been having food and drinks here for the year we have lived here, and chose to go here tonight for a very special event with our family. I never remember our cocktails being so high priced. In the past they were 11-12 bucks which was more than sufficient price for the quantity. I was really disappointed that our light poured cocktails were New York prices tonight, quite an increase from the past. Im not sure where they get off charging $16.00 in Southeast MO. We will not be going back. read more

I ordered sliders they weren't very good. My friend got boneless wings he said they were wonderful. Prices are a bit much. Other than that the customer service was very good. I'd eat there again read more

My wife and I thought we would try since it was close to hotel plus clerk said she heard it was good. We each ordered a margarita. She was disappointed in her flavored one and I was more than disappointed coild not finish it. She had steak that was average at best. My salmon was good. Rice was cool and broccoli was over cooked. Three dip starter was good. Service was good. Would not recommend. read more

Party of 4. 1had country pork chops that was spoiled 2 had burger which was burned, brown lettuce, and cold fries. 3 got good burger but had to wait for the replacement fries (see #2) to get mustard, making the burger cold before I could eat it. 4 Parm chicken was overcooked and dry. Were not offered refills on any drinks. Poor food and poor service. Been there twice (first and last). read more

What a marvelous place to eat! Great appetizers - had the soft pretzel bites with beer cheese. They were fantastic! I didn't think the main course could be better but the half-rack of ribs with a baked potato and onion straws. They were fantastic ribs were amazing - some of the best if not the best I've ever had....and I've been in all 50 states and 22 countries. They were that good! Service was excellent and so was the strawberry lemonade. My 12 year old nephew had the chicken strips and pronouncing them wonderful as well. I recommend Big Whiskey's based on my experience. read more

The service was great and this review is not a reflection on the staff who were attentive and friendly. The food however was really bad. For the menu prices, they have to do so much better. Food quality was worse than any chain restaurant we have been to. It felt like they did everything they could to save money on the food while charging a higher than average price. My expectations for a chain are never that high but I would avoid this one. There are better options in PB. read more
