I brought a key fob for my car to bring here from online. They asked if It was compatible and I said yes, because of what I saw on the online ad. They said they were just warning me. After programming, a red security light stayed on my dashboard. I was told it was fine because the buttons worked, but the car was actually flagging an incompatible component error. I was charged $120 with a no return policy for a job that left my car's security system in a fault state. They asked If I still wanted the key cut because it had the error shown on the dash now, but I had told them no and that I would just return it from where I had bought it. Id suggest going elsewhere to avoid dashboard errors that they can't or won't clear it. read more

A mechanic wanted $3K to replace the power control module. I got a second opinion and suspected the car just wasn't recognizing the key, I was referred to MHS. Sure enough, Christina from MHS was there the next morning and -- despite some tricky issues related to the computer, the fob and the key itself, was able to generate a new key that started the car for 1/15th the price. Walked in for a new remote access fob to be programmed. And have an extra valet key made. They listened to what I wanted and did nothing to up sell or oversell me. Valet key was finished in less than five minutes and the fobs were repaired in just over that time. The staff was great, friendly and attentive. No pressure. This is the second time I've used MHS to replace a broken OEM car key and I'm very happy with my interaction with them. The replacement was done quickly and they cut the new key blank accurately. The price was more than reasonable and not anywhere near what the dealer wanted for my 13 year old car. The replacement key case accurately duplicates the appearance of the OEM case. If the need arises for another key replacement, I will have MHS do the work. read more

Amazing price and amazing job. The staff is friendly. I little too friendly, I think the staff needs to be a little more professional. Other than that, it's an amazing place, got my key cut and programmed for 75 dollars. I think this is the cheapest place in Chicagoland area. My ONLY car key and FOB fell down the sewer in front of my house. The village was not able to retrieve them after trying for a few hours. I called the dealership. They told me I'd have to have my car towed to the them, they were outrageously expensive on making a "first" key and programing my new key fob which would have taken DAYS. I searched the internet and saw all the good reviews about MHS. From the initial phone call to the superb customer service it was a pleasure from beginning to end. If you have lost your ONLY car key look no further --- call MHS. The staff is professional, friendly, with old world manners! Imagine that, good manners! The tech drove to my house in ONE DAY made a "first " key and programmed my new fob. ON TIME - RELIABLE- COURTEOUS! ALL IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE! Does NOT get any better than this. The cost for amazing curb side convenient service was $125 less than the dealership cost for a "first"key and fob programming (EXCLUDING towing). 10 stars if they were available. I needed a new key programmed for my truck, they showed up the same day I called (on a Tuesday), however the guy that was here was sent with the incorrect key, there for he had to set me up with two different old keys, one to lock and unlock my truck and the other to somewhat start it, but when turning it off, it would not detect the key properly and not shut down correctly. So I was left having to open my hood and disconnect the battery and wait 2 to 3 mins every time I shut it off to reset it and get the lights on the dash to turn off. They didn't get the correct key in until Thursday, so I was inconvenienced for almost two days. I spoke with Javier (the guys boss) and he was very unprofessional with me and wanted the entire 250.00 he originally quoted me, I was asking for a small discount for my inconvenience, I could have easily went elsewhere and told him I was going to use him to purchase a duplicate of my truck and another two for my other two cars, but he just said, I'm not going to discuss this with you any longer and just HUNG UP on me. Very unprofessional and rude, knows nothing about good customer service and the fact that even after the inconvenience I was still willing to use them to get at least 3 other keys made, he would rather lose that business over a 10% discount at minimum, unbelievable. I would never recommend this place to anyone! May not happen often, but when you are you provide the customer with an inconvenience, its only right to understand they were wrong and make sure the customer is completely satisfied. Gilberto is my hero!!!! I lost my only car key so called multiple places that advertise that they make new keys for BMW's only to be told that they don't. Finally put something on my private FB asking if anyone knew of anyone who can replace a lost BMW key which is how I was thankfully given Gilberto & MHS's information. Going to try to explain this as best as I can as I don't understand anything having to do with car technology but .... I gave Gilberto a call and he drove 45 minutes the very next day to make me a new key. There was an issue with the programming in my car so he had to take the car box and bring it back to his office. He then drove all the way back to me - on the same day - and there was another issue (my car's fault; not his). He could have given up but nope, not Gilberto! He came back the next day and he solved the issue and programmed the car with a new key. The guy easily spent a few hours in his own car driving from his office to my vehicle in between all the trips and when most people would have given up and told me to just go to the dealership to deal with it - he didn't. So grateful, thankful and appreciative!!! Gilberto = MVP and Can't recommend MHS Keyless enough. read more
