I'll start by saying I don't really post reviews. With that being said, I am usually pretty anxious when hiring contractors as there's always a horror story, issues with communication, disagreements on scope of a project or end cost and I had none of the above when working with Matt. After meeting with a few contractors in town, I met Matt and discussed options for completely rewiring my entire home located in highland. It was built in 1901 and the existing electrical was down right dangerous. Exposed wiring, overloaded circuits, panel internals exposed to rain etc. Matt's professionalism and overall demeanor made me feel at ease with choosing him for the project. I wanted everything to pass inspection and voiced my concerns and goals for the outcome of the project. He quickly sent me a quote and we scheduled a time to begin work. Matt and his team worked extremely efficiently and quickly. I had a few additional punch list items that I requested after receiving the initial quote such as removing existing fans, adding exterior lights, and adding interior lighting. All of these were no issues. We discussed possibly having to add some outlets to pass inspection as the home is old, and when inspection time came, we found out that we would not need to include those outlets so Matt reduced his quoted price, all while completing the additional punch list items. Working with Matt was by far the best experience I've ever had working with a contractor of my sort. My home is now completely required and passed inspection, including a new 200amp panel. Matt, Todd and Roy were fantastic to work with on our basement reno. I have no hesitation in recommending them for any residential electrical needs. They came in the middle between our quotes and we're so glad we went with them. What stood out as exceptional to us was them taking the time to not only do the job right (to code) but also to make sure it was functional. Matt & Roy went through just about every outlet, light and light switch placement with me with consideration of door placement, trim etc and made several great recommendations I wouldn't have thought of. They were also willing to make adjustments in the final walk thru until we were satisfied. Matt and Todd did a great job on our new upgraded panel. They left the space cleaner than when they arrived and were courteous, friendly and approachable. I particularly appreciated Matt's outlook regarding focusing on one job at a time and we could tell that dedication was genuine, the guys worked 3 long days straight thru to finish on time. We hired Matt to do all of the electrical in the remodel of our home built in the 1970's. This was no small job but Matt made it so easy on us. He was patient and kind when explaining the upgrades we needed to do and even helped tell us where to save money with the upgrades we weren't expecting. He was highly professional, always arriving when he said he would and making sure to clean up after himself. Matt really took the time to work with us on our goals for the lighting in our new home and helped make our dreams for the house a reality. He worked tirelessly into the night to make sure we met the deadlines required by our mortgage company. He went above and beyond by editing the paperwork for them LONG after the job was done. We had a great experience with Matt and his crew. Matt was super quick to respond to our initial inquiry and came that week to give us a quote. On work day, he an his assistant, were on time, friendly and worked diligently to get the job done all in one day. It was a big one; creating a junction box out of our outdated box in the kitchen and moving a bunch of circuits to an updated box outside our house. Oh houses built in the 1950's! They also ran wiring out to our deck so we now have a porch light with a switch inside. These guys were respectful of our home, friendly to our dog and did a great job on the electrical. Todd and Roy did a phenomenal job with all the work--from installing can lights and a ceiling fan to swapping switches, everything was done professionally and cleanly. When we rang into unexpected snags, they explained the complications and found ways to address them without cutting any corners. Even with those challenges, they completed all the work in one day. There was some shotty wiring in the older home that we just bought in the Highlands and Matt knew exactly what needed to be done to correct the issues and pass inspection. Matt is an amazing electrician, he and his team are extremely professional and friendly. They are always on time, and much more affordable than many of the other electrical contractors in the area. They did all of the wiring to a complete addition we added to our home, and everything was done perfectly and passed inspection. I was referred to Matt by some friends, and he did not disappoint. I had received several quotes for the job, and his price was quite reasonable to replace my electrical panel. Him and his partner managed to update it all and then made sure to walk around the house correctly labeling all the new breakers. Friendly, amicable guys who (from what I can tell) did a great job in the time frame expected and at the quoted price. I had an issue with the swamp cooler not working. Circuit box was fine, all switches set to ON. Matt from MH came out this afternoon and went thru basic troubleshooting. Still no luck. After he left, I put the cover of the light fixture back on and amazingly, our swamp cooler and lights came back on. They replaced our breaker box back in 2021 so that is why I wanted him here to help. Matt is thorough, knowledgeable , and easy to work with. Matt from MH Electrical has done two jobs at my house. The first job he installed new service to a recently built garage. He did all the leg work including pulling the permit and dealing with the inspector. He then recently put in a ceiling fan in my living room. Both job were completed on schedule and without any problems. Pricing was very fair compared to other estimates I received. Matt and his colleague did a good job replacing our old, fire hazard FPE Electrical panel with a brand new GE panel, and at a fantastic price! They were friendly, courteous, and also helped out with a couple of outlets that needed repair. Matt also helped us identify a mysterious gadget wired into one of our outlets as a 1970s doorbell.
