They examined it thoroughly and ultimately diagnosed the problem as a fault in the motherboard. The solution turned out to be putting my solid state drive into another laptop several generations newer....effectively salvaging all my data and apps on a newer machine...all this for a few hundred bucks. Not only did she make sure to explain everything to me in a way I could easily understand, (being a very non technological person lol) without me even asking her to!! But when she realized that the hard drive ( a very good deal may I add) she was going to order for me was no longer being made, she researched a cheaper and better alternative, that did not benefit her in any way at all. She called me back to inform me of all this and even told me where I could buy this cheaper, better, alternative... She also took a moment to talk to my son about how they've changed this item over time and added extra storage. Although we didn't get to do any actual business with them (yet) I would 10/10 recommend them solely based from this experience.

My experience started out positive. I had a cracked screen on my computer laptop and took it to…read morethem for repairs. They told me that I saved a lot by going to them and not the 'big box' store. They ordered me a new digitizer and I paid them $107.11 (Part plus tax). They said that it would be shipped to them in a week or so. I finally stopped in about 3 weeks later and left my laptop to get fixed. I stopped back a couple of hours later and they told me that the screen that was shipped was cracked. They would have to order a new one. I told them that I would pay the labor charge now, so that once the screen was fixed, I would just pick it up. The labor charge was $81.00. I then waited a few more weeks and stopped there again. They said the screen was in and to give them a few hours to put it in. I returned a few hours later and they said they had the wrong screen. I told them to go ahead and order a new one. Long story short, this went on for several months with no resolve. I then asked for my money back on the screen and Tim agreed and kept saying he would credit my credit card. It still did not happen 6 months later. By now I was living in NC and was traveling back and forth to see family. I kept telling him to credit me for the part and they could keep the labor charges and he agreed. He said he was having a problem crediting my card as it was beyond 6 months and then he said he was going to send me a check. It has now been almost 8 months and still no refund. He does not answer my phone calls, messages, etc. It seems he does not want to make this right. I would encourage anyone doing business to make sure you only pay AFTER the service is completed.
