MezzeMe is a colorful, relaxed place for really great, fresh Mediterranean food that my husband and I have really enjoyed over a few tries. As a vegetarian, I am really impressed by the moist, crunchy falafel that they give you plenty of as part of your plate or pita. The portions are very fillings and I appreciate that every part of the plate is seasoned really well, including the rice and side salad. I love love the colorful addition of a red cabbage slaw and pickled onions that add a lot of freshness to an otherwise carb heavy dish. The Turkish delight tea is a delightful drink, and reminds me exactly of the Turkish delight from the steeping room, a tea house that recently closed in Austin. It is one of our favorites so nice to know there is still a place to find it! The baklava is also good, sweet and crunchy and melty. Love the interior, the design and clean seating areas. My family and I just returned from a visit to Turkey and craved some more of the excellent food. MezzeMe got a lot of positive comments about it on the Austin subReddit so that was also a deciding factor to get to MezzeMe. Over two visits so far, it's clear the food and service are excellent and others feel the same way with a buzzing atmosphere from a near packed house. Unexpectedly Iskender, Lahmacun, chicken soup, shakshuka and tr tea i ordered were so delicious. Also server was very kind and rapid. She was also knowledgeable about the menu. Lahmacun was soft, thin and corners crispy and this is how it should be and very well baked in the Owen probably fire brick Owen. Appetizer was fresh and yummy. Chicken soup was so delicious but the bowl was a bit small, well said tiny. Iskender was also very traditional and again was good. I wish the bedding bread was a bit crispier and country style butter was also added to get tastier but overall great place for native anatolians to remember tasty turkish cuisine and also for others who love our food. read more

Enjoyed a great meal at MezzeMe with the fam! It's a great place to meet up with family or friends. Inside dining is open and you must wear a mask until reaching your table. We ended up splitting a few of the different mezzes. The hummus was good, as was the pita that accompanied it. The spicy tabouli was very good! The falafel was not bad. I would 100% recommend the truffle feta fries! The truffle aioli is fantastic! I would feta garlic pita again. All of our food came out pretty quickly except the flatbread... Then the showstopper showed up. A 2.5 foot flatbread boat on a cutting board was placed in front of us. It was excellent! I recently went back to MezzeMe, and was pleasantly surprised at their menu overhaul! I had been previously, when it was more of a chipotle-style ordering style. The menu is now more curated to more traditional dishes. While I liked the bowl-styles, if you aren't accustomed to the type of food, I can see this being more appealing with more choices for people! We ordered the Turkish lentil soup, the iskender and the lamb skewers. The skewers didn't come with nearly as much added stuff, like extra sauce, and veggies, but they were still very good! The meat was all so tender, not fatty at all, and cooked well. The pita was so fluffy and fresh! The flavors are amazing, and if you like spice, don't skip on the spicy sauce, just ask for it if you aren't sure!! We had enough food for leftovers, which was still great the next day for lunch! They are also doing a top-notch job on cleanliness and distancing both inside, and out! read more

What an awesome experience! I checked in here and was given a free Turkish coffee. It was served on a beautiful platter and was so delicious! We ordered the ChickMeOut and the chicken was cooked well. The bread and rice were also so tasty. The weather was perfect to sit outside and the indoor venue is adorable! My only wish they do better is to not give me utensils. It's a bit like a chipotle in pick your base, then protein and sides. You go through the line and tell them what you'd like to get. It was my first time, so when it came to the sides I had no idea. The lady was super nice and patient, and gave me samples of a few that I wanted to try and also her suggestions. I got half and half grains and mixed greens. Chicken which was super juicy (dark meat!!) and chargrilled. Got the shukasuka or something like that but basically roasted eggplant and the red grain one which was not spicy despite the looks! Yelp checkin gave me a Turkish coffee but I'm not a coffee drinker and asked if I could get another drink instead. Pretty solid place! I've been a few times and I've had enjoyable experiences every time. My latest adventure here was me gorging on a plate of iskender. Kinda of tasted like lasagna! The sliced meat was tender and flavorful. Mixed with sliced pita and a tomato sauce felt like a very comforting dish. Thinking about that dish makes my mouth water. It was my first time at this quiet chain at a nice location, and I was impressed by their decor, cleanliness, menu, and service. The order taker explained patiently how the bowl works, and I stuck with a simple vegan bowl and added toppings with hummus (topped with olives, oil & paprika) as an appetizer. Everything was presented carefully with a smile, and the meal was fresh and tasty. At the end of the meal I helped myself to the carry out table, because it was a lot of food for the price. The manager has a great sense of humor. The same person who took my order and served me was also the same person to give me a warm welcome back and open the door. My only critique would be that I was surprised at how much the total bill, a little higher than I expected and the food took much longer to be ready than the estimate we were given when we placed the order online. We tried the MezzeMe in the Triangle for the first time tonight and were very pleased with the experience. It's Mediterranean/Turkish cuisine with a fascinating niche. They have some 'prepared' menu items, like Moussakka, but what caught my attention was the 'build your own' medley option. It is counter service with a complicated selection. The attendant will guide you through, but I had studied it online and knew what I wanted. To begin, you select a 'base' from a number of choices, including pita pockets, wraps, greens, or rice. I choose the 'CrazyGrain,' which turned out to be a mishmash of different smalls grains with quinoa (I think) and other Mediterranean options. You then pick a protein - I choose a beef and lamb donor. You follow that with a couple of 'mezzos' from a varied set of options. I chose the spicy Tabouli, since I have always had a soft spot for the old Tom's Tabouli that used be to next to the UT campus. You finish with as many toppings as you can stomach from a list of 11 choices. You do need to do a little Google homework before you go in order to avoid an inevitable brain-fart when you come up against the variables for the first time. Anyway, the resulting dish was complex, with myriad flavors and textures doing a bayonet charge on my taste buds. Everything was very fresh, and you can choose to try them one by one (nigh impossible) or enjoy the mixture of ingredients blended together. The only flat note was that the gyro-like beef and lamb slices were slightly dry. The solution is to add Tzatziki with your toppings (whoops, forgot to mention that the dressings are the last choice). The utter healthiness of the entire dining experience is disgustingly robust. The ambiance is clean and uncluttered and light. And the nearly infinite variety of choices means that you could dine there until the world looks level and never have the same meal twice. I've had the pita pocket and crazy grain here. Both times were amazing. The pita pocket was more filling. I'm not vegan but they have great vegan options and plenty of sides to choose from. I like lots of vegetables in my dishes which makes the plates colorful. Parking can be difficult to find if you are not from the area, but there is a parking garage across from hopdoddy which is free. read more

4.5 I've found my new favorite Mediterranean place! First off, the location at The Triangle is stunning. It's so inviting, bright, has fresh flowers at every table, and the wall of coffee cups and saucers is beautiful! The selection is wide and colorful. The staff are very helpful and they let you try whatever you like before you commit. You decide on a base, protein, mezze and topping and enjoy. We got a beef and lamp meatball bowl on greens with shakshuka and cherry sauce with so many yummy toppings. We also had the shawarma chicken on top of crazy grains with hummus and zucchini yogurt with dill and mint. Both bowls were so good. The proteins were juicy, flavorful and fresh. I loved the colorful assortment of mezzes and toppings. They have beer and wine available. The rosé was delish and the local beer my husband enjoyed was one of his favorites from Hops and Grain. First time trying out MezzeMe. I've read great reviews but wanting to check it out myself. I tried the iskender kabab plate. It was thin slices of beef/lamb on top of thick pieces of pita bread with warm tomato sauce on top and yogurt on the side. Taste: delicious. Presentation: on point. Ambiance: excellent. Service: great. Overall 10/10. I was also offered Turkish coffee. The taste was very strong for me so I added some sugar to it. Everyone I interacted with was very nice. You order up front then they bring the food to your table. I also ordered borek (cheese pie) to-go. It comes with 3 pieces. I plan on bringing that home for my family. They have a lunch special (which I didn't see until after I ordered). It's M-F from 11-2 and includes soup or salad and a half pita sandwich. Best part of the restaurant is all the meat/chicken is halal. The only thing that those who eat halal might not like is they sell alcohol. read more

I have a hard time overlooking that fact I had a bug in my meal on my 1st dining experience at this place. It's very disheartening since the food selection was nice, the options are endless and the taste was really good. I can't get past it. When you go to a restaurant there is a certain level of trust that you are giving that place, you expect a good value, for the food to taste good, for the food not to make you sick and also for there not to be foreign objects in the food. I have now lost this trust.............. When I found my little friend in my pita, I took my tray to the manager and told him what I found. I wanted to look him right in his face and let him know there was a problem. My hope is that he will correct the issue. He offered to make me a new lunch, but I was not willing to accept this. Keep in mind the same food with the bug was still on that line where the food was being served. I explained I needed to go back to work and did not have time. As a Turkish Mediterranean style restaurant, the kebab should be flavorful and tender. We also ordered falafel and it never came to our table. One star off because of this. read more

Im a fan! Been coming here for a while and i love the freshness and quality of ingredients. Its my go-to for a quick grab and go weeknight family dinner thats actually healthy for a change. Fresh, tasty, and very quick service. Think of a chipotle but with fresh scratch made ingredients. I tried everything on the menu and I don't think you can go wrong. My personal go to meal here is a bowl made with shawarma doner + lamb, crazy grain + spring mix, tabouli, mezze, and yoghurt + garlic & basil yoghurt. I love coming here after solidcore to get my proteins and carbs! Make sure to get a drink cup as they have all the maine root sodas and 4 different teas, and a yoghurt drink! There is plenty of parking depending on the hour but they also have a free parking garage right next door.
