I hired Service Star Contractors to replace the cover of our chimney (chase cover). They used the wrong cleaner and left horrible stains on large portions of our chimney siding. The worst part is that the chase cover somehow turned rust brown color within a few weeks. This was stainless steel that was supposed to last forever according to their own words. How does stainless steel get discolored in this short time?? The photos speak for themselves. They claimed they would replace the cover and the siding. It has been 3 MONTHS and the issue is still unresolved. The office and Sal (the owner) do not call or follow up. When I have texted Sal directly, he has repeatedly promised "guaranteed this week it will be done" and then nothing, no follow up whatsoever. I paid for a service to be done. Mistakes can happen, but then I expect a company to take responsibility and to be honest about how and when the issue will be resolved. This is completely unacceptable and no one should ever trust this company.
