Most recently a basement overhaul to use the space as a social/entertaining area. As with earlier projects, we are totally pleased with all aspects of their work. While I have no reason to doubt the negative reviews, that has never been our experience. I would not hesitate to contact them for projects in the future.

My dad's friend was doing a project on his home when my dad happen to drive by on the way home. My dad was so impressed with the work that they did that he ended up hiring this crew. Biagio was professional and gave us an accurate price based off of his assessment. There were no run arounds or cutting corners from when we spoke to him about the project to signing the contract, demo and construction to the final day. Shoutout to Biagio and his crew for coming through and making our back yard wall and side wall look nice compared to what it looked like before. He and his team were absolute professionals in how they started and completed this project at our home. In a two day span they demo'd two walls and constructed new walls the proper way compared to how this was when we moved here in 2005. It feels good to sit in the backyard now whereas before it wasn't aesthetically pleasing and didn't flow with the home. I can't stop thinking about the backyard wall! Quality work by a quality crew of workers. I highly recommend this crew for any home project that you may want done.

Reaching out and describing the difficulty level of re-doing a STEEP new retaining wall, right above the Ramapo River - making it even further complicated- his ability, detailed plan of attack and confidence to provide a lasting solution. His crew did an Excellent job of regrading, building a new support system for the wall that'll preserve our back yard. After that was concluded, we had immediately hired them to re-do our entire driveway and walkway afterwards! They performed and worked non-stop, exceptionally under dire temperatures during this past blazing Summer 2024! I had to tell them to slow down... take a break... Keep hydrated - - I can't say enough good about them all! Each and every one of them were the kindest people you'll ever get a chance to meet! A++

He also met my need to get the work done as soon as possible. In fact, after telling me that there was a two-month waiting list, once I approved the estimate, they showed up to begin the job just two days later. Not sure how that happened, but I'm not complaining. Steven, the job foreman, was very professional and highly skilled, notwithstanding his youth. Why do people I meet keep getting younger? He is a perfectionist, a virtue which you rarely encounter with home contractors. He even helped guide me with the color selection. I threw him a few curve balls during the job, and he did everything I asked him to do with a smile. He and his crew were on time every day, and were all polite, neat, and hard-working. They are acrobats on high ladders, and barely dripped a drop of paint where it didn't belong. The finished job looks great, and exceeded my expectations. It is also worth mentioning that Wilber's guarantees the durability of the paint job for three years. All the others who bid offered a two year guarantee. I can't speak to their other services, but I would hire Wilber's again for a major painting project, and recommend them.

Avoid at All Costs -- Dishonest, Lazy, and Unprofessional…read more Total Quality Homes epitomizes the saying, "you get what you pay for." He'll quote an economical price, but it will come at a hefty cost. Jerry Beke of Total Quality Homes cuts corners, makes avoidable mistakes, skimps on materials, and lacks professionalism with his constant condescending and rude tone. This economical option cost me more in frustration, wasted materials, and ultimately, money lost due to his dishonesty. Jerry overcharged me by $1,000 and refused to return the money. I STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST hiring him for any construction project. Jerry's work was rushed, sloppy, and riddled with avoidable mistakes. His inaccurate estimates and neglect to measure twice before cutting forced me to make multiple trips for materials. He didn't properly trowel adhesive on the backs of tiles, creating uneven joints and voids behind them because it "wastes material." He admitted he "hates grouting", which showed in the recessed, uneven grout lines that left tile edges exposed. The shower niche shelf wasn't pitched correctly, causing water to pool instead of drain. He botched the herringbone pattern and left jagged, unfinished tile edges. His careless work also damaged my hallway's parquet flooring. I've only scratched the surface, but plenty more examples exist that illustrate Jerry's version of 'quality.' Beyond the shoddy work, Jerry also overcharged me by $1,000 due to a miscalculation in his final invoice. I provided clear documentation of his mathematical error, requested a refund multiple times, and even gave him multiple chances to propose a reasonable repayment timeline. Instead, he refused to return the money. FINAL VERDICT: If you want a contractor who cuts corners, performs subpar work, makes your home reek of cigarettes, disrespects clients, and refuses to pay back money he wasn't owed, then Jerry Beke is your guy. Otherwise, stay far away from Total Quality Homes.

The roof above a small portion of the back side of our house had caved in and the water was sitting above the roof causing damage. We didn't have the funds to fix and rebuild the roof but needed the water to flow away from the house to avoid damage. Frank was able to solve our issue and added a small gutter to be back side of our home to have the water drain away from the caved in section. It has been over 5 years and holding up as new (no water in our house since Gutterworld added the gutter). Most recently I called Gutterworld because our homeowners insurance said our house was missing a 1 foot section of soffit from below the roof. And if we did not fix it they would drop our insurance. When I spoke with Frank he said he would try to accommodate us but he was booked with jobs & going on vacation. Within an hour he had called and said he moved a few jobs to help us fix the soffit (to avoid lapse in insurance). Frank is an amazing person - he went above and beyond for us to avoid any issues with our insurance company. He did the job quickly, clean and efficiently. He even matched the soffit color perfectly. If you are looking for an honest company with an amazing skill, I highly recommend Gutterworld. Frank and his crew are the best you will be able to find (honest, professional & accommodating).

However, in this case, I was very impressed with the work performed by Gutter World following the installation of new vinyl siding on my home. Gutter World was the subcontractor called in by the siding general contractor. I made it my business to get to know the owner of Gutter World, Frank Puorro, due to my GC not being on-site at the time gutter and leader work was to start. I must admit that I was apprehensive at first, yet, within a short period of time, I found Gutter World performing their work in a very measured, methodical, and precise manner. Frank, the owner, worked side-by-side with his foreman while measuring, forming, cutting, shaping, and securing all new replacement gutters and leaders, including detail work where leaders (downspouts) transitioned down to grade for final draining of storm water. Gutter World's box truck was equipped with a seamless aluminum gutter / leader roll machine which formed, rolled, bent, and cut the required lengths of material. I was on-site the entire time and observed the team working smoothly during the install process. Prior to positioning the leaders at grade, Frank and I discussed the manner in which I wanted the ends oriented. With suggestions from Frank, my input was utilized and those details came together much to my satisfaction. All debris and miscellaneous trash was cleaned up and removed from my property by Gutter World. The entire job was completed within several hours. I would highly recommend Gutter World for all gutter and leader work. Gutter World: 800-847-0434 Bloomfield, NJ 07003
