Before starting the job, they conducted a detailed evaluation of the roof and did the same once the work was complete, to make sure everything was done right from start to finish. They also brought in a licensed electrician to properly disconnect and reinstall my solar panels, and thoroughly tested them afterward to confirm everything was working correctly. In addition to the roof, they rebuilt my chimney and installed beautiful new 6" gutters -- the whole property looks fantastic. What really stood out was how flexible and fair they were during negotiations. We worked together to agree on a contract that worked for both of us, including a 50-year extended material warranty and a 25-year workmanship warranty. On top of that, they went above and beyond and threw in an extra item as a gift, which I really wasn't expecting. A1 Gutters and Roofing is professional, skilled, and honest from start to finish. So it is significant when one discovers a contractor who is legit, trustworthy, and highly professional. Having to replace an entire roof including structural repairs of its wooden beams, new insulation, and re-bricking of the upper portion of the chimney was a major undertaking. The entire project took two weeks. It's impossible to describe just how well this job was accomplished. Picture may do it some justice. Overall, this customer is pleased beyond measure. I hired Service Star Contractors to replace the cover of our chimney (chase cover). They used the wrong cleaner and left horrible stains on large portions of our chimney siding. The worst part is that the chase cover somehow turned rust brown color within a few weeks. This was stainless steel that was supposed to last forever according to their own words. How does stainless steel get discolored in this short time?? The photos speak for themselves. They claimed they would replace the cover and the siding. It has been 3 MONTHS and the issue is still unresolved. The office and Sal (the owner) do not call or follow up. When I have texted Sal directly, he has repeatedly promised "guaranteed this week it will be done" and then nothing, no follow up whatsoever. I paid for a service to be done. Mistakes can happen, but then I expect a company to take responsibility and to be honest about how and when the issue will be resolved. This is completely unacceptable and no one should ever trust this company.

Rich sent someone over immediately to patch the leak until he could do a complete job.. The entire roof needed to be replaced, and there were many unexpected problems. I've a small flat…read moreroof on the 3rd floor that was leaking constantly and my idea was to replace the whole roof. I called and they came right over. I did mention I wanted it replaced, but they said the best thing to do was to use white silicone coating and it will stop anything. So, I said ok. They got the job done in June of 2020. It looked good, not what I was looking for, but I trusted them and I thought it was fine. They also gave me a 5 year warranty. Fast forward to Autumn of 2024, and it started leaking again. I called and said I want to use the warranty. Communication was not as great. They constantly told me they are going to troubleshoot it and get to the bottom of it. It seemed like they were surprised that the silicone didn't stop it. They did visit, but kept on saying it doesn't look like their work, but they will get a guy who can give a masterclass on finding leaks. They never returned and the warranty had expired as time slipped by. I ended up going with their competitors. The competition replaced the whole roof, found the leak in the process, and used ingenuity to prevent it from ever leaking again. DeMuro was a huge disappointment and I regret spending $4,750 with them. They did replace my gutters and I was happy about that, but they subbed that out, so not really their work.
