This review is slightly skewed, so please take it with a grain of salt. If I was only going to review or rate based on my food experience tonight, things would be bad. However, that isn't well rounded because I was a delivery diner. I don't want to discredit a possible experience I may have had, good or bad, if I had eaten in-house. I ordered only two items. First, my favorite of all fresh served cold dishes, Tabouleh. I have to be honest. I was saddened and felt it was abysmal. It could honestly have only been cilantro in the bowl. I could not even taste hints of anything else. If I had not seen tomatoes, I wouldn't have believed it. I will say nothing else. It was very unpleasant. I tried the Cherry Cheesecake. I tried the cherry cheesecake. Literally. It's still sitting here. I took two bites. The cherry syrup was plenty tart, but I felt it lacked its classic sweetness to round out the flavor. The cheesecake itself: No, thank you. I was unsatisfied with the crust. I'm undetermined of my feelings on the almonds. It may just not be my desert of choice. I hope to dine in, for entree and ambiance. read more

My wife and I have stopped here twice on travels through WI.... we will be back as the food is excellent and the owner and staff are very Covid aware and are implementing appropriate precautions. We had the Falafels and the Gyro sandwich special. One of the best gyros I've ever had... real lamb meat not processed. Falafels were crunchy and tasty. Good service. read more

The dinner was a little uneven but enjoyable with some real high points. The Turkish coffee was delightful, as was the garlic and cheese cigar berok appetizer, with a zing of fresh dill. The foccacia bread was only ok, though the zatar in olive oil dipping sauce was fantastic. The falafel was well seasoned but undercooked (the chef apologized that the deep fryer was too cold as they hadn't thought they'd get business on the night of the polar vortex super cold temperatures), but the tahini sauce and pickled cabbage were both craveable! The Ottoman (sampler) platter was amazing - Lamb and chicken shish, kofte shish, all grilled, tender and delicious. I really can't say how much I love Meze. The food is always excellent, and they're happy to explain dishes that are unfamiliar (I had never heard of nor tried cigar borek before my first visit). The staff are friendly and helpful. If you're on the fence about ordering here, do it. If you're unfamiliar with something on the menu, call and ask about it. Great Mediterranean place! Lots of options for people who want something familiar or who want something new. I ordered the iskendar kebab (gyro meat, covered in a yummy tomato sauce all on top of naan) which was super tasty and a pretty large portion. We were sad when the Atlantis Taverna in Sun Prairie closed because we like Greek food, but Meze Mediterranean Cuisine is a most welcome addition to the dining options in Sun Prairie. We had a great meal, the setting is pleasant and the service was personable. I had Chicken Shish with lentil soup. Both were excellent. My husband had Adana Kebap (lamb) and the house salad and was very pleased. We expect this to become a personal favorite and certainly a place we will bring out-of-town guests. Pretty decent. Especially for the area. We can in specifically for the calamari with aioli, only to find out they didn't serve aioli any longer. Darn. Soups were great, I wasn't a fan of the bread or the oil dipping sauce, seemed too bitter or like something was roasted too much an burned. The cigar mozzerella stick things were good, calamari needed some acidity, and the waitress was able to bring us some lemon slices. Aioli on the calamari would have been great but that's always been my preference. I'm Took the entrees to go, good for Wisconsin, probably best or second best in Dane county. This place was a real find for us. We're staying at the LaQuinta in Madison because we have our dog with us. So we didn't want to leave him alone. We enjoyed the lobster ravioli and the seafood pasta. They were both nice and hot. The only thing that we could say about the dinners that was off was that the salads were warm. The side salad was small. And the 4 dollar upcharged Caesar salad was warm as well. We didn't eat the salads. read more

Incredibly good Mediterranean food. We popped in here for lunch and didn't expect the quality to be this amazing. The hummus was smooth, flavorful, and just wonderful. We tried their calamari as an appetizer, it was done to perfection and served with a fantastic dipping sauce. For our main dishes we tried the lamb Adana Kebap and the lamb iskender kebab, both were delicious and large portions for a great price. Staff were friendly as well. A must try!!! read more

Food was good but the service was not good. There were 4 groups of people, 2 different waitresses, and our waitress, who was the manager, was up front talking to other people/employees. She did go talk to the other table but did not come to us for over 15 minutes. (The other waitress actually checked on us, instead of her.) In that time frame, every table was checked on, except ours. It was way to slow to have service like that. I have gone with a number of other people and while I've forgotten what they have gotten, they always have high remarks. It's just a quiet little place with tasty and fresh food. I enjoyed nearly all aspects of the dinner, only knock is when showing up at 8 pm we were the only ones there and felt a bit rushed. Even though they kept saying it's all good, still felt rushed. So other than that, I had a seafood dish my wife had the lobster ravioli. My white sauce with Shrimp was really good. Lobster Ravioli was ok, my meal won though. Yet another wonderful Madison ( well, nearly Madison) find! We are visiting and eating out a lot. Dinner tonight was exceptionally delicious, in a pleasant setting, with excellent and accommodating service. This is a casual and attractive place, great for a family dinner The eggplant dish was so tasty; my daughter finished her very generous portion and gave me a bite. Eggplant is iffy for me, but this was hearty and tender. My ground lamb with pita and perfectly moist and flavorful rice was expertly seasoned, with just a bit of a kick and complex herbs -- andno overpowering by garlic or mint or zatar. And not over-salted! Husband had the beef kabobs. Huge portion of oh-so-tasty beef, six large chunks cooked perfectly medium rate. Again, superb spicing. Again served with pita, rice, and a baked tomato. The service was friendly and accommodating. Oil and vinegar instead of dressing on the salad -- no problem. Large portion of salmon in a good-looking tomato sauce was another entree sampled; the last was the Turkish meatballs. Everyone happy. Everyone full. But we shared a piece of their house-made baklava (with simple syrup instead of honey, hurray!) to finish things off nicely. I told the waitress I was so happy that I could hug the chef, who is the owner. She went to get him and the hug happened and we all left with smiles. Doesn't get much better! read more

Our first visit to the new place. They've been open for almost a week and we didnt have any hiccups. My husband and I love calamari but we are specific (rings versus spears, marinara versus spicy sauce) so we ordered that for openers. While we waited for the calamari, we were served with focaccia bread and oil w spices. The mix was pleasant and mild. When the calamari came, it was lightly fried and se asked for a side of marinara. Tasty all around (wish I took a pic) and there was enough to make it a hearty appetizer for two or great as a small bite for 4. We then decided to order our main dish. Chicken Parmesan and Iskender Kabob for me. My husband's dish was so large, we couldn't imagine where he got that chicken! Very tasty but we have leftovers for about 2 days. Iskender Kabob had a great tomato sauce and it was on naan bread with a side of roasted veges and rice. I ate around most the carbs as the calamari and focaccia filled me too fast. It was just enough meat and I would have finished it if I didnt have the appetizer. The bill ended up being right about what we do at the other neighboring restaurants. All in all, I will go back and try more dishes. Just to taste all the different Mediterranean treasures. read more
