It was a nice little stop on our tour of Cozumel! We signed our names in honor of our sons Engagement they say before and definitely plan on coming back! The pineapple rum dessert was amazing!

Cute family friendly place on the ocean

Worth the drive to the east side of the island. Gorgeous views. BEST margaritas on the island. Inside is a huge bar and tables in the sand and hammocks for lounging. Outside are palapas right at the water. Great seafood selection. Ceviches, fish tacos, nachos and more. We got the fish tacos, conch ceviche and nachos. All were expertly prepared. Lots of gluten-free and dairy-free options. Kid-friendly options too. We can't recommend this place more. It made our trip!!!

Very much worth the drive or the bike ride or the taxi ride to see this side of the island and the beautiful wind swept beach....amazing you can have a beer on such a beautiful beach for only $2.50 !!! Fun!!

Fun place to catch delicious food, swing in the hammock and enjoy the view of the ocean. Not supercheap but still a great spot! simple yet clean bathroom.

The view of the beach while sitting at at Mezcalito's is.. breathtaking and amazing. The name for the beach: Naked Beach Bathroom - not bad at all. Kind of hot in there. They have conch shells to show you which is the gender. It's hilarious. Some of my company folks chose to take the ferry and use mopeds to get to Cozumel's beaches. It was kind of a pain to do everything, but once we arrived, it was all worth it. Mezcalito's is kind of your typical restaurant that has tables and a bar. But the are no walls facing the ocean since it's right on the beach. But they have walls when facing other directions. So if it's hot outside, you'll feel it there, too. However, you'll be under a roof and in the shade! Not a bad place at all to get your drink on and hang out. If you're sitting near the beach stairs, you'll see hammocks that have a pine straw roof, mini tables, as well as chairs. So - get a couple drinks in you and feel free to slowly fall asleep in the hammocks. Best thing ever! My group had a lunch and slowly went down there to soak in everything. Food: Honestly, our resort food was kind of bad. Therefore, the food here is welcomed and we were stoked. I had the steak fajita and it was DELICIOUS. And given in a huge portion. I loved that they had onions and & red peppers. And it tasted legit. Salsa & Guac - not complimentary, but super good. The salsa though was spicy. I accidentally had a big bite of it and had a pepper. AHH. I was coughing and gasping for air. But it's ok - that's what I get for being a fatty, haha. The Margaritas came in super cute cups. Wish I took 1 home :(

Dropped in after finding The restaurant next door was closing. So, without any expectation my wife and I went in to check out the menu. We decided to share a dish, the seafood platter that had shrimp, fish and salad. The fish was amazing, probably the best I've ever had, and I'm not one for most seafood. The shrimp was cooked to perfection. Prices are ok, I think it was about $14 USD. The quality of the fish though, a must try.

The view from the patio. A storm was coming but it was still a great day.

The first stop on the island tour for me every year. A great view and a friendly staff. What more could you want?

    Right on the water

The map directions are wrong. The restaurant is on the other side of island but it is the first place you come to when you cross to the other side of the island. I give it 5 stars because of the ambiance. The seafood platter is great as well as the ceviche Don't bother with the beef fajitas, quality lacking It's a fun place to just waist away the day. Eat drink and nap in a hammock.

We was of course still hungry after my husband keeps trying to make eye contact to our waiter several times he finally comes over we ordered the seafood nachos, what a huge mistake, they come out with huge mushy chunks of imitation crab meat, and small pieces of shrimp and whatever kinda sauce they put on it was tasteless. We picked the fake crab meat off cause it was just plain nasty. We had 2 margaritas a piece served in beautiful glassware but not a good drink at all. The server was going to the bathroom washing his face after eating I seen him do this 2 times. We gave him a 10% tip and he looked pissed or shock. It was a beautiful view but nothing would ever make us go there again. We have been to Cozumel 13 times always wanted to try it. This place is an overpriced nasty food trap for tourists. We are here for a month and would have eaten here a few times if it was any good. After reading the other review about the fake crab meat we are thankful we didn't eat it and get food poisoning too. I wish I took pictures our meal and drinks was over 100 dollars and we have no problem spending money on some good food, drinks and service.

Since our ship docked elsewhere else on the island, we had to take a taxi ride over which was relatively inexpensive. The menu is cutesy in that the food and drinks are named after crew positions on a cruise ship. I ordered some chips and guacamole but was not very impressed. The guacamole was literally ground avocados only. I was rather disappointed. My friends were complaining about how watered down their drinks were. It took forever to get our drinks. It also took forever to get and pay for our bill. The only saving grace for this place is the views of the water but that goes so far, even with a couple of drinks. We tried a few of their mixed drinks, all are absolutely delicious, well made with quality ingredients. $10-$15 per drink is not cheap for Mexico, but this is a touristy town and the shitty cruise bars are all expensive. What we like the most is their mezcal quality and variety , which is what we came for. They have more "in the back" somewhere since the bar is really small. Food: meh. Not fresh nor exciting. Don't bother. Ambience: this is a really small area, 2 tables and a bar sitting. At max 10-12 people elbow to elbow. Cool decorations though, not at all touristy and "cheap" like most of Cozumel bar scene. We really enjoyed our visit. Service: we came on a Friday early afternoon and there was only one other tourist group. The bartender was great! Really young (20 yo!!!!), but apparently he has been doing the job for more than 5 years. (I guess the legal drinking age in Mexico is just a suggestion) Overall this was one of the highlight of our visit. Will come back here again if we are ever in the area.

When we got off the ship there was a line of taxis ready to go and the ride cost $20 for two people one way. When we arrived, the staff greeted us and guided us to the front desk where we checked in for our reservation. I highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time because it definitely helps expedite your entrance. One thing worth noting is that when we booked online it didn't show cabanas available, but when we arrived the host checked and was able to get us into one. I highly recommend getting a cabana if one is available because it gives you a nice private area to relax. That said, there are also plenty of tables with covered umbrellas that provide shade from the sun. What really stood out about this place was the level of service. It was incredibly attentive. I honestly don't think we ever waited more than a few minutes before someone came by asking if we needed another drink or more food. Our servers were Juan and Pops/Eric and both of them were fantastic. It felt like every time I turned my head one of them was checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. They offer all-inclusive food and you can either go up to the buffet or order directly from the menu and have it delivered to your table or cabana. The property also has multiple pools, massage services, swim-up areas, and gift shops around the resort. At one point what appeared to be a manager came by and asked how we heard about the place and checked in on how our experience was going. That really reinforced how focused they are on service. The location is right on the beach so you get beautiful ocean views while enjoying unlimited food and drinks throughout the day. Overall Mr. Sancho's delivers a great beach day experience with excellent service and it's definitely a place I would visit again when returning to Cozumel.

I will more than likely NOT be back again. Before I begin my thorough review, I would like to call out JULIO who works the adult side pool bar. He was disgustingly rude to me and others during my visit. When I asked for 4 drinks and only received 3, I reminded him I had 1 more which he then yelled at me about "you're not the only one in the pool" which was crazy because I spoke politely and patiently waited to inform him I was missing a drink. Any chance he got to show attitude, HE DID. And TO ALL SKIN TONES AND RACES in the pool! Absolutely sad and ridiculous, I didn't even want to be in the pool anymore because of him. I will instead shout out CHISMAS for being absolutely kind and having great customer service on the other side of the bar where the swings were. He heard how Julio treated me and told me to only get my drinks from him instead and I'm thankful because he was kind, my drinks tasted better and he was a perfect bartender with great customer communication skills! Thank you Chismas! Now, upon arrival and paying for our day passes, staff were hasty and not as friendly as they once were. Even the taxi driver we had on the ride over from port was very minimal in conversation; maybe only said 2 words. I was hoping once we got to Mr sanchos the staff would be different, but they weren't; they were also minimal in conversation, rude, and basically just trying to move us along. When we finally found OUR OWN table with shade (no help from any staff at all) it took over 40 mins to finally get a waiter to even bring us menus or serve us. Yet, when a big party of white people came, they were shifting around tables and chairs trying to take over the little area we were in and immediately were given menus and serviced by a waiter. Mind you, we also had a big group with us and all the staff were making it seem like a big deal for us to have a large table/accommodating area and didn't want us to move any tables or chairs...interesting, right? Don't worry tho because we didn't let the other large party take over the area and we happily moved tables to accommodate us, just as they did :) The menu they have now is significantly smaller than it used to be. One side of drinks and just one side of food. Wow. Food was alright, I tried the buffet and ordered off the menu; nothing to rave about at all. I feel like the whole vibe of this place has just went down and the quality does not match the price as being worth it. This looks like it'll be my last time coming to Mr Sancho's; I'll be going to one of the other newly built all inclusive beaches next time in Cozumel port. This experience SUCKED 2/10 (2 points strictly for Chismas the bartender).
