The location is just few minutes from Centro. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Food is very affordable and have great taste. We got cecina de res and El pastor. For drinks we got bottled Pepsi. The place is neat and the ambiance is very relaxing. We also met the Omar, the owner. He is very nice and even showed us their bar right next door.

Dined 10/24/25: don't let the looks and appearance of the restaurant deceive you. Worth the 5 minute walk away from the tourist traps. The Al Pastor tacos, steak tacos and guacamole are made fresh and excellent. Their own hot sauce and guacamole crème (served in ketchup and mustard dispensers) are GREAT! The server was friendly and helpful (when we were able to understand one another, lol)... we will be back...

Steak and Chorizo burrito - The wrap is very fresh and the meats are definitely tasty well marinated. Al pastor taco - The sucking pork is very tasty. Bit of grill Al pastor torta - Pozole - It's a bit salty for me but otherwise delicious. Lots of meat in the soup. Grilled chicken taco - the grilled chicken was very good even though I don't like chicken breast but still very flavorful and pretty tender since they cut them in small cubes.

Pretty good food! Nothing to complain about. The service was fast, the restaurant itself is pretty nice. Definitely more of a local joint.

It's an outdoor restaurant and bar with plenty shade. Really good food! And they have live music at night time. I highly recommend. Walking distance from most hotels / hostels. They are open and sometimes have 2 for 1 margarita specials. I tried the mushroom casedia. Delish!

The food is super tasty! Recommend it 100%. I give it 4 stars only because of the pesky mosquitos! Otherwise it's a must try local dive taco bar. Grunge ambiance. Love it.

Known as Los Otates until recently, this unassuming cafe serves up some mean pozole and tacos mazica. Seriously. The chordant beefy flavors of the tacos had me drooling as the server sauntered by. And that deep soup stock pozole was so reviving--it had me craving for more. Outstanding value, happy vibes. Food cooked and served from the heart.

Pastor Tacos and Pozole!

Excellent services, great food and prices. Atmosphere is homey and the Pozole is so rich and flavorful. We have been here twice in a seven day vacation and will probably go again. The variety of salsas offered are exceptional. My favorite was the green salsa. If you go please get the Pastor tacos. The meat is so moist and flavorful, along with the Arrachera. All good food and great service!

Solid fare and possibly live music if you're lucky. Great depth of flavor in their pozole. The gringas tacos are a staple. Changed their name but the classics remain.

Meat is gamey. Guac is warm, had to inform waiter that onions were already rotten. Service is great but no on food.

We decided to stop into this place after hearing about their long establishment at Cozumel. We were the only people there on a weekday dinner and the food took quite awhile to get out to us. We are on island time so I was expecting it to happen anyway. Food was decent- the queso was hearty but hard to dip your chips into or get a scoop out for the soft tacos it came with. I ordered the gringas pastor tacos. They werent bursting with flavor but the sauces on the table- especially the green sauce, made them much more favorable. Cheap beer and good prices for food. I'd probably check out a few places around before coming back but I wouldn't say its a bad spot to go.

After seeing the great reviews here, we schlepped a couple extra blocks (despite a bit of rain) to visit for lunch. Well worth it. We liked Colores y Sabores so much that we returned on another day. Equally fantastic. The Margaritas (I got Mango) are great. Don't ask for frozen mango margarita because, although they will do it, it lessens the flavor of the fresh mango. Tried it both ways, so I can say for sure, lol. The Beans are something you do not want to miss. Something special about them here. The guacamole and pico de Gallo and chips are the way you'd hope: fresh, crunchy, not greasy and just enough pop. Enchiladas are fantastic - and there are three options for how you can get it. The Mole is outstanding - a little smoky, tons of rich flavor. I rarely order fajitas - but I wanted to go simple one day. Perfect. Tender chicken, and caramelized onions and peppers. Try corn or flour tortillas -- or both, like I did. Another day, I tried the tortilla soup and loved it. Soothing, simple, with strips of chicken and crunchy tortilla. We also got the chicken tacos, which were great. 3, with beans and guacamole on corn tortillas. Our fave, though, was the Chile Relleno. Heavenly. Ground beef stuffed inside and this dish was as satisfying and delicious as anything we encountered on the trip. The Carrot Cake! Definitely recommend that, too. Just sweet enough, and homemade.

The chicken mole enchiladas were outstanding -- the mole was a rich chocolate mole with the perfect amount of spice. You could really taste the depth of the sauce, not too sweet, not too spicy, just perfectly balanced and incredibly flavorful. We also tried the shrimp alioli, and that was just as impressive. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and the garlic alioli sauce was rich without being too heavy. Everything tasted fresh and made to order. The atmosphere is beautiful -- lush garden setting, relaxing, and it really feels like you're dining somewhere special rather than just another tourist spot. Service was attentive and friendly the whole time. If you're in Cozumel, this place is absolutely worth a visit. I would go back just for the mole alone.

It was basically raw cucumber filled with half-cooked white onion and (maybe) spinach, smothered in a white cream sauce. I took one bite and couldn't eat another. Honestly one of the nastiest things I've ever been served at a restaurant. My boyfriend ordered the tortilla soup and it came out cold. The other "courses" were minimal: about three bites of pineapple icee, plus a few pear slices with candied nuts and goat cheese (that part was fine, but nowhere near enough to feel like a real meal). We had one drink, one bottle of water, and with tip the total was around $100. For that price, this was a complete waste of money. 0/10 recommend--very disappointing and we won't be back. Too bad- beautiful building and good service. The food was just gross.

They have a couple of great regional Yucatan dishes here, like the Molcajete and the Cochinita. San Miguel de Cozumel is admittedly not the most beautiful or interesting Mexican city to do touristy stuff in, so it was a treat to find some great regional cuisine to try. I was with a group, so we ordered the Molcajete (basically, mixed grilled meats in a stew), ceviche, and cochinita (stewed pulled pork), along with tortillas. All of it was great. The sauces, from the salsa to the stew broths to the ceviche sauce, were all terrific. There was mention that they dishes were spicy, but in the end, none of the stuff was super-spicy. Furthermore, the spicy stuff was often a salsa served on the side, or a whole roasted pepper that wasn't integrated into the dish, so you could calibrate your spiciness to your taste.
