Elote

Cute, small spot located downtown two blocks off the main drag. We came in for dinner and sat outside. My husband and I each had a carajillo to drink and they were very good but it did take them about ten minutes to make them. Otherwise everything was else came out pretty quickly. We ordered the elote for an appetizer and it was delicious. It comes deconstructed as an fyi. I had the poblano soup and garlic fish. Both were great. My husband had the filet and had no complaints. The complimentary bread they give you is awesome as well. We'd definitely return.

Absolutely fantastic food! we had an amazing salad, a corn appetizer that was delicious and I had a New York steak with potatoes and spinach with cheese. Highly recommend everything we've had! cold beer nice little outdoor area on a side street. great place! Even better than expected!

We were actually looking for another place when a man called out and said to come in the food was great we were a little skeptical, but I am glad we did this was probably the best or top best Mexican food we had in Cozumel, I got the fish tacos, there was also a hamburger ordered and steak tacos . Jimmy was amazing and took great care of us, if you ever come to Cozumel you have to come and see him, Jimmy gets a 10 for great service and the food was also a 10 A+++

I'm so glad I saved one of the best for last! Last dinner in Cozumel before we head back home. Cielito Lindo was a new try for us (family of 4). I had made reservations requesting indoor dining with air conditioning, the restaurant is very quaint, sits on a corner with a lot of outdoor seating. Mariano was our excellent server. Of course I had to have my last Don Julio Tequila while looking over the menu. We started off with the Azteca Soup. Entrees were: Cochinita Yucatán (tender pork, pickles onions, avocado in a garlic sauce), Lechuguilla De Pollo en Salsa de Mole (chicken breast stuffed with cheese and mushrooms, dipped in a mole sauce with mash potatoes), Pasta Poblano with Chicken and The Green Chili Enchiladas. Of course we ended our meal with sharing the Churros dessert. ALL the food was AMAZING, Loved the Cochinita Yucatán. The service was perfect. Atmosphere nice. A definite, SEE YOU NEXT SUMMER!

Cielito is the place to go. Their fish dishes are simply amazing - always fresh and perfectly cooked. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the staff is friendly and attentive. Whether you're looking for a quick bite or a more leisurely meal, Cielito is definitely worth a visit for their delicious fish dishes.

Sweet little place with AWESOME food and great service - a must do for dinner! Went here on Xmas eve (can't believe it was open) to grab some dinner. My friend ordered the "house" cocktail which is a fruity concoction that comes in a huge Mason jar - very tropical and tasty! I ordered the NY strip and poblano soup (sadly they were out of lobster bisque!) - the steak was the best - cooked perfectly medium as requested and just thick enough to be juicy! It came with some interesting, savory gravy which I really liked and used heavily (with some salt to punch it up). I also enjoyed the side - a baked potato with melted cheese and onion - so a little crunchy pop. My soup was also good - though it could have been a little hotter. All and all, and extremely solid, scrumptious choice! Check it out.

Smoothest beer and strongest marg in Mexico! A+++

You disembark in Mexico. You're hungry. You're exhausted from the 10 minute ride that should've been in the new "Fast and Furious" trailer that made you appreciate a speed limit. Limited phone service. You just want to take a seat, drink a stiff one, and enjoy the best Mexican food of your life. Mexico is supposed to have the best MEXICAN food right? My sister found this hidden treasure for us after I called her; the desperation in my voice triggered her willingness to help. This place can't occupy any more than about 1000 sq ft in downtown Cozumel. It's surrounded by hundreds of other eateries. There's NO WAY IN HADES we would've found this on our own. Our waitress was friendly and after indulging the best and strongest margarita of my existence she was quite amused with my spanglish. The shrimp and fish ceviche was refreshing on that warm afternoon followed by guacamole that would put anyone's in DFW to shame. The steak and chicken fajitas were flavorful and tender, lying on a thin sheet of ooey gooey cheese....such a big surprise! At that moment, I had died and gone to heaven. Unfortunately, it all came to an end. $31 was very well spent. I'll never forget you Cielito Lindo. Authentic and stylish. Thank you....

Cielito Lindo is exactly the meal we were looking for our first night on Cozumel; authentic, fresh, and delicious! This is a hidden gem, located just a quick walk off the Main Street. They have modern decor and tons of plants on their patio making the vibe welcoming and relaxed. The menu has both Spanish and English (which was a plus for me). We ordered two appetizers: the queso frito, and elote. Both were delicious!! For dinner I got the Cielito Lindo Enchiladas, and my fiancé got the Marinated Pork on a Banana Leaf, which was recommended as a local dish by our amazing waiter. This waiter was the cherry on top. He not only gave us local bar recommendations, but he wrote them all down for us so we wouldn't forget! But wait, there's more! I ordered a mango margarita (they have the strongest drinks we've had in all our five days in Mexico) and apparently they didn't have any mango in the restaurant. Instead of coming out of to have me order something else, he WENT TO THE STORE quickly and bought a mango so they could make my drink!! If that's not service I don't know what is! 100% would recommend anyone on Cozumel come here!

Baja Tacos

Fantastic food, atmosphere and service. Coconut shrimp, Baja tacos, fried cheese appetizer and octopus appetizer.

Fresh guacamole with chicharrones

This little gem was by far the best food we had on our vacation. Everything was hot, fresh, and flavorful! The service was awesome, and the atmosphere was great. It's tiny, only a few tables on the inside and on the patio, which really added to the experience of a "hole-in-the-wall" feel. Can't recommend this place enough! They earned the name of "Cielito" because it was a little slice of heaven!

Fish ceviche. What a presentation!

Quoted is being the best tortilla soup I ever had! What I eat here again? Without a doubt!

It's all behind the pages.

The meal consisted of a really LARGE bone in pork shank with mashed potatoes and vegetables, and was almost more than I could eat.

After seeing the great reviews here, we schlepped a couple extra blocks (despite a bit of rain) to visit for lunch. Well worth it. We liked Colores y Sabores so much that we returned on another day. Equally fantastic. The Margaritas (I got Mango) are great. Don't ask for frozen mango margarita because, although they will do it, it lessens the flavor of the fresh mango. Tried it both ways, so I can say for sure, lol. The Beans are something you do not want to miss. Something special about them here. The guacamole and pico de Gallo and chips are the way you'd hope: fresh, crunchy, not greasy and just enough pop. Enchiladas are fantastic - and there are three options for how you can get it. The Mole is outstanding - a little smoky, tons of rich flavor. I rarely order fajitas - but I wanted to go simple one day. Perfect. Tender chicken, and caramelized onions and peppers. Try corn or flour tortillas -- or both, like I did. Another day, I tried the tortilla soup and loved it. Soothing, simple, with strips of chicken and crunchy tortilla. We also got the chicken tacos, which were great. 3, with beans and guacamole on corn tortillas. Our fave, though, was the Chile Relleno. Heavenly. Ground beef stuffed inside and this dish was as satisfying and delicious as anything we encountered on the trip. The Carrot Cake! Definitely recommend that, too. Just sweet enough, and homemade.

The chicken mole enchiladas were outstanding -- the mole was a rich chocolate mole with the perfect amount of spice. You could really taste the depth of the sauce, not too sweet, not too spicy, just perfectly balanced and incredibly flavorful. We also tried the shrimp alioli, and that was just as impressive. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and the garlic alioli sauce was rich without being too heavy. Everything tasted fresh and made to order. The atmosphere is beautiful -- lush garden setting, relaxing, and it really feels like you're dining somewhere special rather than just another tourist spot. Service was attentive and friendly the whole time. If you're in Cozumel, this place is absolutely worth a visit. I would go back just for the mole alone.

It was basically raw cucumber filled with half-cooked white onion and (maybe) spinach, smothered in a white cream sauce. I took one bite and couldn't eat another. Honestly one of the nastiest things I've ever been served at a restaurant. My boyfriend ordered the tortilla soup and it came out cold. The other "courses" were minimal: about three bites of pineapple icee, plus a few pear slices with candied nuts and goat cheese (that part was fine, but nowhere near enough to feel like a real meal). We had one drink, one bottle of water, and with tip the total was around $100. For that price, this was a complete waste of money. 0/10 recommend--very disappointing and we won't be back. Too bad- beautiful building and good service. The food was just gross.
