Mezcal Express is a delightful treat right in my neighborhood. I'm was so excited to try them! My friend and I met for lunch on Saturday around 12:30/12:45pm. It was not busy and service was speedy! You order and pay at the counter then they bring your food to your table when it's ready. My friend ordered a bowl and a glass bottle of Sprite. I got the asada fries and a chicken street taco. Both were delicious and flavorful! The fries are easily big enough to split. The guacamole had big flavor as did the asada and chicken. I loved the horchata Agua Fresca! It was light, not overly sweet, and have some great holiday vibes to it (cinnamon and such). It would be refreshing any time of the year though! We both left full and happy for sure. Staff was helpful, kind, and friendly. Parking is easy overall, prices are reasonable, and the food/drink options were plentiful. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

I've been twice in the past month and have loved everything I've tried! This is a bit like fast casual. You order at the counter, find a seat and they'll bring the food out to you. For the prices, I'd like to see real silverware. That's probably my only gripe. The plastic stuff doesn't go with the overall feel of the place and is flimsy. They have birria ramen, which my husband was so excited to try! I have ordered the bowl twice, and both times, they were awesome about leaving off or putting on the side some items I don't eat. My husband put my side of pico in the ramen and said it made it even better, especially because it had a good amount of lime in it. They use fresh-carved corn for the bowls, too. I've never been to a restaurant that does that, it was sooo good. I hope they can keep that up even when it's out of season. Rice and beans are delicious. Jacob got the birria tacos on a second visit and they are LOADED with meat. For $4 a pop, you're really getting your money's worth. Overall, portion sizes are great and high quality. Usually at Mexican restaurants, you get one or the other. My husband had gotten two of the agua frescas, which are pretty pricey at $6 each but he liked them both (pineapple mango, very light and refreshing and hibiscus, which was a touch sweet for his liking.) They have an entire wall of drinks to choose from. With as much cooler space as they have, I'd like to see something like Cherry Pepsi or Cherry Coke and maybe a couple more sugar-free options for those who can't have or don't prefer sugar. There are two single-stall bathrooms that appear to be handicap accessible, but I didn't use either so I can't confirm. The space was recently renovated so I imagine it had to be brought up to current ADA standards. Service has been quick and extremely friendly both times we've stopped in. It was even fast enough for an hour lunch break. This is definitely a place we'll be frequenting. (For anyone reading, it's completely halal. No pork and no alcohol. Their proteins are from Saad Meats.)

The steak and chicken tacos were flavorful. The had nice size meat portions. A little pricey but good.

This place is an exciting addition to downtown Dearborn- authentic Mexican right downtown! There is plenty of seating inside this jewel toned, colorful cafeteria. It's bright and spacious inside unlike the experience at traditional Mexican restaurants, which tend to be darker and feature more booths. I guess that's what makes this Mexican "express." The employees were super helpful, offering us physical menus for easier viewing than the mounted menus. Staff went over their recommendations, and we went with their specialty- Birria tacos- with all the toppings. Deeelicious! The meat was flavorful and moist on its own, the dip being just a bonus. The flavor on the chicken tacos was good, although I'd say the meat was a little dry. As for elote? Can't go wrong with elote. I think I would've liked a little more tajin and a slightly larger portion, but it was satisfying enough. We splurged and got dessert- the flan was amazing. It is rich and dense, more like a cheesecake than others I've had. Worth the calories- Go here!

I went with the Crispy Cancun sandwich (fried chicken, chipotle aioli, pickles and roasted corn topped with cilantro on a challah bun) and the garlic parm fries. Everything was really good. The fries were doused in a lot of sauce and even a bit of garlic butter but miraculously they didn't get soggy. The sandwich was juicy and crispy and the bun and toppings went with it all perfectly. I went with the mild flavor as I can't do much spice these days and it was perfectly seasoned. I also went with one of their slushes, the apricot mango, and I LOVED it. I'd come back for that alone! Price is a bit on the higher side for fast casual, it was around $30 for all of it, but it was delicious and prices are going up everywhere these days so I get it and don't knock them for it. But it's worth mentioning if you're reading this and on a bit of a budget. That said, they do have some combos and items that could make it much more cost effective. And coming with friends will make it all easily splittable as the portions are generous.

A couple of my team members and I stopped by to grab an ultimate chicken wrap, crispy chicken and the turkey Cubano with seasoned fries a while ago. Their wrap and sandwiches all have an interesting and unique twist. Quite intriguing for sure. Next time I do want to try out their grilled cheese sandwiches. The corn with butter is good. The other loaded is over the top for me.

Dining area was clean and loved their artwork. I had the Hot Chicken Wrap with their choice of tortilla (Tomato Basil). The flavor was pretty good. Mac n chz bites were ok, moz sticks were good, but the french fries were amazing. crispy! My boyfriend got a burger, which was huge and very tasty, myself i got a chicken bacon wrap which was far from disappointing. so many toppings, grilled crispy on the outside with great flavors. we left here beyond full. what i can appreciate as well, they have pepsi fountain products but know how some people prefer coke; so they sell sprite and coke cans if pepsi isn't your thing; which is very cool and shows awareness he wants you to enjoy what you prefer with the meals they offer. i did not have any room for a milkshake but those looks excellent of course. i don't live close to this place but next time i crave a wrap i will be stopping by again. Thanks for the hospitality and great food!

There's a parking garage in the rear and plenty of spots. I did enter through the rear of the establishment since I parked there. The menu is pretty extensive. Ended up getting the half order of hummus. A basket of warm pita and two sauces came out. I initially thought that was the pita. This was complimentary I believe. The garlic sauce is solid. The other one is a spicy sauce of some sort. This spicy one was super good. The hummus came out. Very smooth and flavorful. For my entree, I got the Shish Kafta. You can choose between lamb or chicken. I went with the chicken with a side of rice and my choice of soup or salad. I opted for the lentil soup. That came out piping hot. This was delicious. Flavorful and good texture. My entree came out and wow. The portion is way more than what you pay for. Came with 4 very huge blocks of chicken kefta. Nicely seasoned and grilled to perfection. Had a nice char on the outside, but still juicy on the inside. I used the two sauces from earlier to give it an extra kick. I washed it all down with a mint lemonade. This was absolutely refreshing. Clean place, very good food and the customer service was solid.
