It's deceptively big in this place. Looks small from the back entrance. Ordered guacamole, small, Mexican tacos with chicken, tostadas with chicken and beans only. The waitress told us the large guacamole is quite large. I am curious to know what the large guacamole looks like. The small one us small. It's not bad, fresh and chunky. Their house salsa is thicker, not a lot of flavor or oomph. They do have a spicier salsa. The spicy salsa is hot for sure, the flavor grows over the bites. The street tacos were okay. The tostada corn tortilla was quite crunchy and stayed intact throughout the meal for the most part too. The chicken for the taco and the tostada were small ground pieces of chicken. The meat wasn't dry, but was salty. The beans weren't worth the bites. The service was okay.

Not what I ordered. I mentioned it and they said it's not made like that in their restaurant. Plus taste like no alcohol in it. Then I can't order Fajitas Mix not unless i pay $45.00 for 2? This is insane. I said may it be added? No. Chicken fajita very dry like i'm chewing on plastic. 1 star. Not happy at all

Amazing service and amazing prices. Cant wait to come back. The flights were the best thing around.

A colleague organized our get-together here, one last lunch out during fine weather. We scoped out the menu online beforehand, she was doing keto while I was watching my carbs. I try to decide beforehand lest I get tempted by the steak fajitas or, my favorite, enchiladas. The restaurant was fairly large with entrances at the front and back, to be near parking. I expected it to be full given that restaurants in downtown Dearborn tend to get that way during lunch, which incidentally lasts several hours. That was not the case here so the restaurant was able to accommodate our larger group, as well as one other, and some smaller tables throughout the large space. I ordered the grilled Mahi salad without the fried shell or the refried beans. No need to add unwanted calories or carbs. The salad itself was plain and lacked flavored, although the ingredients: leafy lettuce, chopped tomatoes, and avocado wedges were fresh. Service was earnest.

This Tex Mex restaurant currently occupies the same space that Los Galanes used to operate from. I really wasn't a big fan of the previous place, but I decided to give Don Taco Bar a chance for a Taco Tuesday takeout dinner. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. All the meats were cooked perfectly and nothing was dry or chewy. The sides were above average at best, but the menu is surprisingly robust (they even have breakfast options which I'm looking forward to trying in the future). Check out the great deals on carryout specials, especially the "Family" ones. Might be a hidden gem in downtown West Dearborn.

We had a really good experience here and were pleased with our food. It was near to where we were staying, and was really accessible.

Taco's were well made, with double corn tortillas, packed full of meat , no skimping here, and just cilantro and onions. Definately very authentic Mexican style taco's and not the Americanized versions you find throughout the area. My only qualm, which was minor, was that the meat was lacking the seasoning I like when in Mexico which gives the flavor pop that I personally like. I took care of this with some salt and pepper along with salsa to tune the taco to my personal taste. Relative to the Salsa, there was a walk up Salsa bar with multiple Salsa's to select from which I truly liked and reminded me of one of my favorite Taco Joints in Puerto Vallarta, Taco's Revolution. These salsa bars, are quite convenient and act as a "Fixing bar" that allows you to tailor the taco to your personal taste. I have not seen this before in this area and wished more businesses did it. They also need to add the cucumbers (dont knock it till you try it) and some onions as well to complete the fixing bar. (: Food comes with gratis nicely mildly seasoned chips which I really liked. The seasoning is more than just salt, quite tasty and unique to this business, Very nice! Relative to the facility and staff, the restaurant is a no frills operation and has a relatively small footprint with a limited number of tables which is probably something to keep in mind during peak dining hours. Clearly they let the food do the talking here. Staff is very friendly with prompt service and good follow up throughout. Overall a very good Mexican restaurant as reflected in the good Yelp reviews. The quality of the food and at the price point it is being sold at make this a must try if you are a fan of good Mexican food, in particular Street Taco's.

In order to see the prices of each item, you gotta scan the qr code which is on the top right corner of the menu. The food was pretty good but on the pricer end. Which I totally get, with how the service is! We got an appetizer, a few dishes to split and a dessert. By the time we finished the main dishes, the waitress took all the plates and brought us new silverware for the delicious churro and ice cream. I absolutely love that they have many different kinds of salsa and oh my goodness, the chips (although a bit oily) was pretty good! You can definitely tell they make their chips in house.

She's also an elite reviewer and I wanted to show off my newly beloved hidden gem. However, maybe lunch is just not a good time to go. When we walked in my cousin was told she's not allowed to take pictures inside the restaurant so you can't see the ambiance. This was the first time I was ever told that. But, later we asked if we could take pictures of the food and we were told yes. So not the biggest deal but something to note for other reviewers. So, the tortillas from the chicken tacos were cold. The waitress kept coming back and lingering to take our order, and rush us out. She even made the comment "you guys are slow eaters." It felt very uncomfortable. We usually like to go to lunch we order appetizers (ceviche and soup), then an entree (tacos). Usually we get dessert and drinks but due to the waitress we decided to skip on these and just leave. We were sat upstairs so I guess she didn't like to keep going up and down. However no one else was dining in at the time so I'm not sure what the rush was. The waitress even made the comment that she was the owners sister in law. She came up to me and asked me if I was his neighbor and stated my last name and asked if I was related to another restaurant owner. She took my phone number at the beginning, I'm not sure why there was no wait. So I am unsure if that's how she got my name because I didn't give it to her. Which was just uneasy to me. Again I loved the dinner the other night. So I don't want to say never go. These are just my thoughts so yall can know what you are getting into.

Small counter space by the restaurant. The restaurant has no seating. Space enough for maybe 2-4 people while you order your food at the counter. I noticed folks sitting in their cars waiting for their name to be called out. 2 Chicken, 2 steak tacos, 4 chicken tacos, California chicken burrito, chicken and asada quesadillas, side of chips and guacamole. $50.25. The guacamole doesn't look so good, the container wasn't fully closed (later found out after opening it at the office) and it turned brown on the drive back to the office. Was told at checkout that I would get salsa, but it is only the salsa verde, not my favorite. The chicken tacos look anemic. The tacos look so very sad and the cilantro looks old and brown as well. I ate a few pieces of chicken off, it rather bland. I was hoping for some red salsa, but only had the salsa verde. The guacamole was bland as well, added some of the salsa verde, still insufficient flavor for me. Rather lack luster street tacos at the stand. Doubt I will return to eat again.

This is a take-out only location, though there are a few outdoor seats OR you can park in your car and do car-meal. Their tacos are great, their quesadillas are great (though ask for well-done if you want them to be crispy at all), I love their bowls. I don't have anything bad to say about the food; it's all delicious. The steak, pork, chicken, chorizo is all flavorful and high-quality. I LOVE the red salsa and medium-spicy green crema they give with each meal. The chips & restaurant salsa are an absolute must, too! Only qualm I have is they sometimes forget items I've ordered. I've asked for items on the site for them to not be included, like sliced avocados, which is a bummer. Sometimes we don't get plasticware or limes or napkins. That's the only issue, so be sure to double-check for the extras before you leave to enjoy your delicious meal.
