Online ordering is available and I've never had to wait long for my order. Most recently I had the rice bowl with pulled pork - it was chock full of rice, beans, and meat with an ample helping of cheese and crema as well. Everything was seasoned and it was packaged well for a takeout order. The place itself is small and simple - definitely not intended for dining in. It's well-located near downtown Plymouth though so you can eat in the park if the weather is nice. Would order again when hungry. Can't stress enough how filling the portions are!

After learning we had never been here before, he answered our questions and gave recommendations of menu items based on our preferences. Because of this, we decided to eat here and through our whole ordering process he was transparent about spice levels and any other considerations. We ordered tacos - two steak for her and one chicken and one ground beef for me. Both with a side of rice and beans. The hot sauce is nicely spicy. The white sauce was fantastic, it is the type of sauce I would put on everything if I could. The taco shells with the cheese cooked onto them, in addition to the fillings and sauces, resulted in some extremely delicious tacos. The chicken taco easily is one of the best tacos I've had, it was that good. Everything was fresh, delicious, and filling. Special thanks to Abe for converting us from tourists to customers - we are eagerly anticipating our next visit!

So when I saw Gyro Gods in my search results, I knew a visit was in order, despite the distance and road construction. The restaurant is relatively new, but the parking lot has seen better days. Although I'm not a high-tops person, I like the seating options: a long counter for grabbing a quick bite and the larger tables for spending time with friends. The ordering line is toward the back, facing refrigerator cases filled with soft drinks and shelves of snacks. I always enjoy trying a bit of everything, which is what I found here. The gyro pita was grilled for extra crispiness and filled with lamb/beef, tomatoes, onions, fries, and tzatziki sauce. Chicken, chevapi, and veggie are other sandwich options. The lamb/ beef filling was flavorful and plentiful. I ordered Greek fries, even though some came in the sandwich, and I am so glad that I did. The fries were topped with tzatziki sauce, crumbled feta, olive oil, and oregano. Fantastic. I liked that the hot fries complemented the coolness of the tzatziki sauce. It might be better served separately so the contrast in flavors is more pronounced; the sauce warmed up from the fries after a while. The bougasta was also delicious. Served hot, I enjoyed the creamy custard encased in flaky pastry, and liberally topped with cinnamon and powdered sugar. I was too full even to sample the small tzatziki, served with a griddled pita. Oh, well, more for a midnight snack. The order taker/food preparer/server was friendly and answered all my questions. Despite these positives, I found the total price to be very high, significantly higher than expected.

I went to the counter to order, I noticed signage with l unch specials. I decided on the gyro, with fries and drink combo which was a little over $14. I went with the pork gyro (you have a choice of pork, beef/lamb, or chicken), I paid extra to make the fries, feta fries. The fries are coated fries, topped with feta, Tzatziki, a drizzle of olive oil and oregano, they were pretty tasty. The gyro was so fresh and juicy, loaded with pork, fries, tomatoes, onions and Tzatziki, the best gyro that I've had in a long time. I liked that you could see the fyro spits and the cook carving it fresh for your sandwich, in plain sight. There were lots of other things on the menu that I want to try in the future. They serve Burek (spinach, cheese or meat). I also saw there was make a make your own bowl, start with salad or rice, etc...then build it how you would like. Sounds interesting. I believe if you combined all the filling from their 6, it would fill 2 from Mexican Fiesta. Two! That being said, atleast they were conveniently located, & relatively quick. The supposedly "hot" salsa was not at all, and was too watery for allegedly being "homemade" and the extra salsa cups too, again, cost way to much! Will i be back? Probably not. I'd rather get carry out from Las Palapas right down the road, for probably the same price, but significantly more substance!
