Place has been around forever and has stayed the same forever. I'm sure if you time traveled a taco they made 20 years ago I may notice a difference, but it's undetectable from memory. Bet tacos I've ever had. Respectable, but sharply lessening, botanas and taco salads. Burritos seem slightly better, and so do the enchiladas and tamales. Beans and rice always sucked here. Steak and chicken too. Some of the better coleslaw I've ever had. Prices are on the rise and better options now exist. Some of the worst online ordering I've ever seen. Tons of options that mean nothing and constantly offline. Some of the workers are amazing. Most just show up for a job. If you've somehow never been here, try it. If you haven't been in a while, it's about the same as it was before - just way more expensive and way less crowded and popular. I ordered the taco salad and it was a bowel if mush!! No fresh crispy lettuce and hardly any meat. Chips were good and salsa was watered down. If they can't get a simple salad right then I'm not interested and trying anything else. I wont return. read more

This was my go-to Mexican restaurant forever. I did a carry out recently. It was just okay. Still has the best guac in town. The service is always quick whether dining in or grabbing a carry out. It's large and spacious always room to get in. I look forward to dining in. I hope their food is still good. read more

The food is definitely not the same. We don't live in the area but try to get carryout a couple of times a year. It's been hit or miss over the past few years, but our most recent order was absolutely terrible. There wasn't a bit of flavor, and the salsa tasted like water with drops of hot sauce added. I understand the cost of things has gone up, but there has to be a way to bring back the flavor and taste that drew people in years ago. I've also noticed that the parking lot isn't as full or overflowing as it used to be. Food so good I went 2 times in one week. I haven't been to this location in years but my mom and I were in the area and we wanted Mexican food. When we arrived we noticed they had made some changes since the last time we were there. Some changes we noticed was the bar area. It was a large size with plenty of tables around it. We were kindly greeted and quickly seated. Our waitress was very kind and quickly took our orders. My mom and both agreed on how well the rice tasted and the tenderness of our chicken. I've been coming here for years, I really like the chips and the salsa is ok. I usually just get things made with beans and cheese, because I don't care for their taco meat. I do like pork enchiladas there, though. This time around, my friend and I sat at the bar. The food was just ok, the chips were fried too dark for me. We went on a Monday when the house margarita is $7 on special (normally $9). Not that long ago it was $3 on special and $5 normally. They are just made with Daly's margarita mix, so they aren't all that special and not very costly to make. When I looked at my receipt at home, I was charged regular price. Our bill was $58 total, I gave $50 cash and put the $8 ,plus tip on the card. I was charged the credit card processing fee on the whole thing (including the $50 paid in cash). I was so annoyed when I noticed that when I was at home, if I go back, I'll only pay in cash and I'll look over the receipt thoroughly. read more

A really pleasant experience I took my mom and my girls out for dinner. The waitress was excellent. She catered to my mom and cater to the kids, which was perfect. This was the first time I've been to this location in years and the food was really good like how I remembered it when I was younger. The buzz and hum of everybody laughing and enjoying themselves, and just being with my family made it even more special. They gave me the biggest Mexican sandwich I've ever had from here. I forgot to take a picture when it first came but the one I did take is after me and the kids had taken quite a bit off. Really good experience and the food was good and hit the spot just what I needed on a Saturday evening. read more

Mexican Fiesta is so good. I have tried many items and they are always delicious. I tried the Fiesta Bowl this time and it may be my favorite. It is so much food and evenly distributed down to the bottom with the chicken. It is very filling and I used it for two meals. Fresh avocados make it extra tasty. read more

We had takeout. Our meals Consisted of tostada, Nachoes, and burritos. The tostada was actually three small that equaled a to-go order that came in a medium pizza box. The nachos consisted of cheese, meat, jalapeños, and chips. Decent food at a decent price. read more

I have not been to Mexican Fiesta in about 20 years. We used to have holiday parties, going away parties, and promotion parties here, I have fond memories of the place. I wondered how much it changed in the last 20 years. The exterior and the entrance look exactly like they did 20 years ago. There is still a small stage near the bar, and there are a still large, separate dining rooms. It felt a little bit like coming home. The fact that it looks the same is a tribute to management's focus on keeping everything looking new and clean. The real standout here are the tortilla chips. You get complementary baskets, with free refills, and a choice of hot and mild sauce. They are perfectly crispy, and likely came from Mexican Town. unfortunately, the food also tasted like it did 20 years ago. You get an option of two sides with your main dish, and I picked baked beans and rice. The rice was good. I would have liked a bit more seasoning, but I didn't mind the rice. the refried beans are the type you get in most Mexican restaurants: they are just a smear of bland, brownish gray stuff. I ordered the fish tacos, because they did not have it on the menu 20 years ago. The fish is good. It tastes like fresh cod. But, you don't get very many of these delicious nuggets in your taco. They cover it with a huge amount of shredded lettuce. Most surprising was how expensive it was. The fish taco plate cost $15. I added a side of guacamole, and bought a Diet Coke. The price at the register was $28.87. And, no, a gratuity was not included in the price. I felt like the guy on the insurance commercial about people turning into their parents. This was the one where a guy goes to pay for his salad, and it's $19, and he tells the cashier he didn't pay for the entire table. I seriously would have given the review and extra star if it weren't for the price. It's not great, except for the chips, but everything is decent. It's not worth it for the price. read more

If you're a Dearborn or Dearborn Heights native, you KNOW Mexican Fiesta. It's been the go to spot for families, sports team, and budding romances for years. This place is always pretty busy, and this Friday night was no exception. The service, however, was excellent. You get house made chips with both hot and mild salsas very quickly once seated. I enjoy their salsa- it always tastes fresh and tangy, although it's thin (classic restaurant style salsa.) The atmosphere is cozy- the lighting is dim, there are flairs of authentic Mexican art and murals throughout, and plenty of space. The cantina area doubles as a sports bar, while the rest of the restaurant has snug tables and booths for a sit down dining experience. I enjoyed my favorite dish, the crispy flour chicken and cheese tacos with a side of rice and beans. The beans do not have pork, which is good to know for many dietary needs. The rice has subtle flavor and pairs well with the beans. The tacos I mentioned taste decadent to me- I love the combination of chicken and cheese with the texture of the crispy flour taco shells. The lettuce adds moisture and texture to each bite. My boyfriend went the more authentic route with tacos Al carbon. He added onions and cilantro to enhance the flavor of the steak, and for soft corn tortillas. These are more like street tacos. The steak was great- very flavorful. The corn tortillas were well grilled and lightly crisped. This restaurant has tasty food and feels like an old family restaurant with decorations put up 30 years ago and never changed... lol! We didnt love the neon lights in the cantina, but we get it- it's the bar area. For 5 stars, we would've liked a little less grease all around, hotter chips, and perhaps some Mexican music. I loved the restaurant. Went with 5 of my coworkers the other day for lunch and were promptly seated,. Service was great and fast enough. The chips they brought out were freshly cooked and were hot. I mostly filled up on those since I couldn't wait for the main course to be out. I ordered a mini botana and I thought I'll squeeze in chimichanga too since those were lunch specials. The mini botana was HUGE, enough to last me for 2 meals, and the chimichanga was another 2 meals as all portion sizes are HUGE. I was surprised because they have a small and a large botana too.. wondering what portion sizes that would be! The food as such was decent enough for us to return again. Very large portions on the combo platters but all very good. Mango margarita was great on a hot day. Combo platter came with large bowl of tasty, creamy coleslaw. The last we were here was about 5 years ago and it's been a long time coming. We were seated right away and of course the first thing you receive is the fresh hot chips with their homemade salsa. We were celebrating one of my staff's birthday and I'm always game for Mexican. I ordered the taco salad bowl, which was fresh and very delicious. My staff ordered the enchiladas with beans, so much cheese, add onions and boy - talk about it melting in your mouth! We had a great time and service was good, food was fresh and delicious. First of all, our waitress Cassie was great! She even asked us if we wanted more water or anything after already cashing out. However, the food was bland, the fried flour taco shell was so thick you could barely taste the filling. Also, the mild salsa was tomato flavored water, and the hot salsa was extremely salty tomato flavored water. The biggest issue for me was that the cleaning spray used to clean each table around us that left was such a powerful chemical smell that it made me want to gag. I would not go back. read more

I've been coming here for years, I just realized that I hadn't left a review yet. I stopped by with a friend on Monday after Cinco de Mayo, it was busy and we sat at the bar. The bartender was fine, although she never came back to check on us, in fact, and we had to ask another server to get our check. My food was about the same as it usually is. My favorite part is always the chips & salsa and margaritas. I typically only get vegetarian things, because I don't care for their beef taco meat. I got a small combo without the taco, substituted with another cheese enchilada. The food was typical, I would probably score this with 4 stars, but I watched a server take chips from a basket that someone had eaten from, and dumped it into a big greasy brown paper bag at the bar. It appears they collect leftover chips in a bag. What are they doing with them? They should be thrown out, I hope they're not serving them to customers. read more
