I used two other tree service companies on my property and then I met him by chance. I think I was had for thousands of $$$. I needed him (and his crew) to take down two dangerously dead oaks next to power lines, couple huge multi-trunk pines, and one large treet next to my house I should have handled long time ago, given the rot. His quote was half of his nearest competitor. I was suspicious, but I also now a nerd when I see one, cause I am one. Mike (and his highly disciplined crew) handed it all and I "wasted" a day watching him and taking pictures of what he did. While most need a crane that runs $5K per day and you will hear whining about how windy it is, this nerd took down multiple trees in his bucket truck in a windy day. Zero damage to antyhing. Also, I referred him to my close friend and she had exactly the same experience. That and you know she had humongous pine about every contractor wanted nothing to do with. Mike? This nerd knew exactly what to do.

Only negative was the wait time for the actual service was very long. However, I understand because of Covid, lots of people are at home and finally taking care of projects like removing trees. So no fault of their own. Plus their price was significantly less than two other quotes so worth the wait!

We hired Palmer Tree Services of Framingham to do some difficult work at our Hopkinton conservation…read moreproperty, including removing four large invasive species trees and some additional trimming. This was in a heavily wooded area, so it was not easy work -- these trees had to be taken down carefully from the top down, with real skill and judgment. Because this is protected land, care and expertise mattered a lot to us, and Palmer's crew absolutely delivered. They were professional, hardworking, courteous, and clearly experts at what they were doing. We were genuinely impressed with the quality of the work and the respect they showed for the property. Went with Lopez Landscaping since they had the smaller equipment and manpower to get the job done. The tree was quickly removed but it was a 3 star maybe 3.5 star experience because of the additional work needed to coordinate everything. The good: - competitive quote and they were able to come by quickly to assess the work - flexible in bringing equipment that worked with tight openings - main tree removal was done in 5 hours - removed paver stones so they wouldn't be damaged by machinery - friendly and professional. They accommodated a special request to cut a section for a table The bad: - rescheduling was a huge pain. We had to go back and forth for 3 weeks and I had to proactively follow up to confirm if they were coming - unable to grind the stump as part of the initial quote so had to pay another $400 for them to come back with a different machine - never got an invoice despite asking for one multiple times To summarize, this seems to be a nice family business that has experience removing trees quickly. However, it doesn't appear there is a back office that keeps everything organized so you're going to have to do a lot of work to stay on top of things.

My experience with this company wasn't fantastic. They did a residential job for me in May, but…read morefailed to complete the work. It took another 6 months for them to finalize the job. Over that 6 months I received 8 calls from the office staff asking for final payment (very 1900's, they seem allergic to text or email). In each case I would tell them that I was waiting for them to finish the job and would send them photos detailing the remaining work. Then I wouldn't hear from them for weeks, until they called yet again to ask for payment, always surprised that the job hadn't been completed, and again asking for more photos. So all-in-all it wasn't a positive experience. I would say that the guys who did the actual tree work were very easy to work with, I found them to be both professional and friendly! The office staff wasn't easy to deal with; their sole focus seemed to be on pestering me for final payment with little interest in actually completing the job. Were I only reviewing the guys who do the actual tree work, I'd give them 5 stars.
