    Donuts

As a local we have always known about this hidden gem of a donut shop. Now all of Michigan knows that it was voted best donut shop in Michigan. Even during COVID they were serving through the window with a line down the sidewalk. It's always busy and the donuts are always fresh! I do wish they would offer more gluten free options than the small cookies and muffin. Get there early on a Saturday and load up for the weekend!

    Donut and coffee

Literally my favorite donuts and I have tried a lot of donuts. They don't have a huge coffee selection, but their specialty lattes are done really well.

    Mmmmmmmmm deliciousness

Their Apple Fritters are really good. Drove over from Grand Rapids just for a taste and I wasn't sorry I did.

They were very accommodating when we requested special instructions for our lattes. It's fairly basic though, even for MI standards.

I went in looked at a few items The lady at the front was on top of things She greeted me as I came in the door and asked what I was looking for I was looking for nothing in specific I ended up grabbing two macaroons A cupcake and what I thought was a frozen white chocolate coffee. The building was incredibly crowded and incredibly loud parking was pretty limited except for the parking lot across the street in order to actually sit comfortably or do anything here you would have to bring headphones that have noise canceling Even after a big family left it was still incredibly loud and pretty cramped. The frosting immediately fell off the cupcake as soon as I walked out the door I thought that maybe I tilted it but it looks like it just ran down the side when I went to take a sip of my frappuccino I noticed that there was no white chocolate taste whatsoever and the three shots of espresso covered up any flavor possible All in all I don't know that I'd go back here again it was pretty affordable and if you want to bang for your buck it would be okay. If you need somewhere to study or to work that's quiet and peaceful and you don't want a lot of distractions this wouldn't be the place for you.

We happened to be in town during lunch time so Nate and I stopped in for a quick bite. Their lunch menu includes some sandwiches, a couple salads, pizza, soup, and quiche. I got the ham and cheese sandwich, and Nate got an 8" pizza. The food came out pretty quickly, and I liked the sandwich. It had plenty of mayo and thickly sliced ham and cheese. It came with a little cup of pickled veggies, which I enjoyed. I had a bite of the pizza, which was very tasty! The prices were great - I think my sandwich was $7.50. We also got some pastries for dessert - I chose the cherry danish, and Nate got the pistachio croissant. Both were very tasty and not too sweet. The vibe of this bakery is more old-school and homey than some of the more "trendy" bakeries that I'm used to - not a bad thing, just a little different. They sell loaves of bread, cookies, and pastries. I loved their merch, too - cute pins, hats, tote bags, etc. They have brunch every Sunday and they were swapping out some art while we were there. It's a cute spot and I'm glad I finally got to check it out.
