Meyer flooring did a BEAUTIFUL job installing our new carpet, laminate flooring and LVP. They installed it in record time once all was coordinated with our insurance after a flooding incident. It took them under 2 days to replace the flooring in nearly our entire house. It was IMPRESSIVE. Brett seemed extremely knowledgeable and he made special concessions to come in the store when it was convenient for our work schedules. I gave 4/5 stars because the bid was frustrating to make sense of for a lay person to sort and make decisions on a short timeline, but the finished work we're very happy with. read more

We had floors done several years ago. Kurt made it run so smooth. Floors and carpet are great still.

After doing our due diligence on both the brand of LVP and a company to do the installation we could not be more satisfied. Jenni was professional in her evaluation of what the flooring would cost and made the transaction very easy. She was knowledgeable about the brand we had chosen (Gaia) and said we would be happy with our choice. She was right! The two men who did the installation (Charlie and Charlie) were very knowledgeable, wasted no time, and were perfectionists in the installation. You could tell immediately they knew what they doing and were extremely experienced making sure the floor was installed to perfection. We can recommend using Meyer Floor Covering and will certainly choose them f we need anything in the future. read more

Went to this store last month, and got a sample to bring home. Decided I was going to order it for my house. I went in with my sample, and stood at the front desk with 4 people behind it. The man closest to the front of the desk (which I believe was the owner) and the rest, all ignored me. They saw me standing there with the big piece of linoleum in my hand waiting to be helped, but all went about their business talking to each other. I stood there for a good 10 minutes, got really irritated that they would actually treat a buying customer that way, and started to walk out when someone said "oh, can I help you?" Needless to say I kept walking out, and went to Home Depot to order my flooring, which was probably cheaper any way, and even if it wasn't, I would rather pay more for a product then to be treated that way. read more

I contacted Meyer Flooring on behalf of a client that needs to have carpets replaced After renting her home out for a few years. They rep was very quick to respond and set my appointment. He arrived on time and showed up very professionally. I quickly shared that this was a multiple bid situation and that my client would ultimately be making the decision. Not a problem! Sweet! Although my client ended up going with a slightly lower bid from a different company and also someone who could do it in very short notice (we had to put the home on the market for sale). I would recommend Meyers and will call on them again because these guys impressed me right away! The bid was returned quickly and well detailed. The pricing was less then $200 higher then the lowest bid and they also had similar offerings of the type of carpet that would fit the price point of the home. read more

Alex Whelcher and Stephen Carlson, "the odd couple " run a very good organization. The finest floor coverings money can buy and at very affordable rates. In fact, the prices at Meyer Floor rival those of Home Depot and Lowes with the exception of one incredibly HUGE DIFFERENCE!..... QUALITY IN HOUSE INSTALLATION. NO SUBS! I repeat--- NO SUBS. Ask for Harland!! read more

Used Meyer Floors in summer of 2017 to install approximately 1200 sq feet of new carpet in our home. They performed work through an agreement as a Costco contractor. Through Costco, Meyers is authorized to complete flooring installations- but only for products that have been pre-approved by Costco representatives (methinks there are certain availability and quality requisites for products that Costco approves). Meyers had to use a specific application and billing process to conduct the transaction. We changed the credit card for charging during the process and Meyers associates helped us do that. The only concern that i had was how the carpet installers actually installed the carpet- one person used glue between the carpet pad and the underlay while the other didn't use any..... I would use them again. read more

While I can't speak to the work of this group, I can say that I will not recommend them to anyone. We are moving shortly and need the carpet in one room replaced. I contacted Meyer flooring and Kurt came to give an estimate. He was very friendly in person and really impressed us with his flooring knowledge. Even though his informal quote was a bit more expensive than the other companies we had contacted, we were so happy it seemed that he knew what he was doing that we decided to go ahead and use Meyer. Unfortunately, when I called to pick out colors he instructed me to have someone else do the job because I didn't feel comfortable paying 100% of the charges prior to the work being done (rather than their standard 75% deposit - which still seems steep). He didn't feel comfortable billing us for the remaining 25% of the fee after we had moved out of state because he couldn't come over to collect, so he hung up on me. It seems unlikely to me that he personally collects on overdue payments, first of all, and significantly more likely that they probably forward overdue accounts to collection companies, but regardless, he knew the timeline at the time of the quote and if he didn't want to do the work then he could have said so then, rather than wasting my time and leaving me scrambling to start over with someone new when we have fewer than 2 weeks to get this taken care of. These guys are the best in the Biz! I got the best super plush 20 yr carpet for an amazing price and installation by the company's installers. Everyone was courteous and professional at all times! I will definitely be getting my flooring and carpet from Myers from now on! A special thank you to Steve! read more

My husband and I have shown up many times getting some quotes, take them forever and one time they didn't want to tell us the price because it was too expensive. Now they are forcing masks while I'm 9 mo the pregnant and can't breathe. I wanted to look at samples with my husband to find exactly what we want and the guy was very rude about it. Wouldn't recommend at all! read more

Beware of Mohawk Bamboo Flooring. We went to Meyer for their excellent pricing. The sales people were very knowledgeable about every kind of flooring they carry. We found them to be friendly and helpful. We chose to install the flooring in our small area ourselves, my husband is very handy, and they gave us all kinds of tips to help with the job. Once completed, the floor looked great. After about a year, I noticed that something was wrong with one board in the middle of the floor. It appeared that the finish was coming off of this board in a splash like pattern. We quickly looked at the rest of the floor and it all looked fine. There was no mistake, there was something wrong. I called Meyer and they sent out our salesman to take a look. He was able to see the problem and took a picture. We were told that they would contact the Mohawk sales rep for the area and get back to us. We went back and forth via phone conversations for a while and finally were told that the Mohawk rep decided it was our fault, we must have done something to the board. We had done nothing, but they were not interested. They also suggested that we should not have installed the damaged board. That was funny...it was not damaged when we installed. In good faith, they offered us another box of flooring for us to repair. What? We already did the install and now to basically start over because of a defective product? I wanted Mohawk to come out and fix it. I tried to follow up with the Mohawk company, but they were rude and unhelpful in any way. I had to call Meyer back and help them put a claim in with Mohawk so they would at least speak with me at all. It did not help, but that was a step that Mohawk told me should have happened the minute I called Meyer with the problem. It was almost like Mohawk was blaming Meyer, and Meyer was blaming Mohawk, which left us with a damaged floor board and no solution. I am giving Meyer Floor one star for not helping solve this problem. I still have a floor board that is loosing its finish. I have very little faith that anything will be done and have given up the run around I was getting from Meyer and Mohawk. I feel my only recourse is to let others know that Meyer is a great place to purchase flooring, yet, if there is a problem, they do not stand behind their product AND do not purchase Mohawk flooring at all. read more

Meyers Flooring replaced a big box store to oversee the laying of vinyl and carpet for a condo renovation. Immediately they were called upon they managed the job extremely well and their representative Alex provided a very fair quotation way better than the larger retailer, and he clearly recognised the need to provide the best lead time for installation. My schedule was already shot however I was very thankful to call upon Meyers. On time over the 2 day installation and installation they did a great job. A lesson painfully learned don't fall for the free installation touted by big box retailers. This leaves no room for any flexibility and they are definitely big enough not to care and to leave you struggling. They did refund my measuring and miss measuring charge which was of no consolation. It wasn't Lowes. read more

Wide selection here, but the salesman was so pushy and insistent on selling us what they had lots of in the warehouse - even though we stated immediately what we wanted - he then commented negatively about every other brand of tile in the store except the Italian overstocks. I knew what I wanted - they had it, but we bought nothing due to this. read more

We shopped all the local flooring stores and put up with a variety of different sales people and attitudes. From the beginning, Brent at Meyer's was knowledgeable about the products and allowed us to shop with no pressure. Brent worked with us to find a right flooring for our 100 year old house. He gave excellent advice and worked with us find solutions to some of the unique issues of working on an older home. read more

This is THE place in Tacoma for flooring. I don't know what the other reviewer was talking about but these guys have taken care of multiple flooring concerns in out north end bungalow. A great young guy-can't remember his name, came over to our house, measured and consulted us. Couldn't be happier with the results! I usually don't spend time writing reviews on non-flood places, but this one is worth your while. We shopped around a bit and felt that the pricing was more than fair and the service and selection outstanding. We will not bother shopping around in the future. read more

This review is for my shopping experience. I haven't purchased flooring from them (yet). Kurt helped me and was incredible! We are replacing all the flooring in the downstairs of the house we just bought, so I needed a hardwood(ish) flooring, carpet, and some cheap vinyl to put in the kitchen until we are ready to redo the whole thing. He didn't have any products that he wanted to push - he asked me questions (some i hadn't thought of) to figure out my needs and showed me reasonable options that would fit my needs AND budget. He answered all my questions and actually listened to what I wanted. I felt he was super honest about which products I would probably be happiest with (and it wasn't always the most expensive of the flooring I was looking at). I can't say enough about his customer service. Everyone else was super nice and helpful also. They had a play table with legos and puzzles for my son to play with while I shopped. Even offered a movie. So pleased with my experience! With such a big project it honestly comes down to price and quality of product. I haven't finished comparing prices and figuring out what products I want to go with, but of the three stores I visited today, this was definitely the most helpful stop and pricing is the best! read more
