Our server was a family member of the family owned business and boy was she really nice. The overeasy eggs - while normally pretty basic by short order standards - were actually done perfectly. No greasy fried bits showing just perfect circular eggwhites and yolks. The sourdough toast was simple but tasted thick and "meaty" with just the right amount of butter. Yes, sounds silly to nail down superlative descriptions for basic toast, but hey, it seemed like everything had that home cooked vibe about it where food is made with care and concern. The pancakes were beyond basic as one member of my family who loves flapjacks noted the fluffy texture and classic taste perfection. The indecisive one of us finally asked for a burger and mashed potatoes at 10:30am. No problem was the reply. Our daughter dug in immediately at its serving and again, all smiles and dripping juices.
