Meh: - There was a misunderstanding between us and the server. We had wanted 2 soups and 2 enchiladas, but he misunderstood it to be 1 soup and 3 enchiladas. Mistakes happen, I completely understand, but when we told the server he was trying to blame us and stated that we had ordered 3 enchiladas. There were 4 of us and we thought it was pretty clear it was 2 and 2. Given some time, he huffed and corrected the order. - After we paid, I decided to look at the bill and realized we were charged the completely wrong bill. When I went to tell the server he said, "no it's the right one", I repeated it wasn't. He said "yes, 2 soup and 2 enchiladas." And I finally said "but this says 2 burgers". Then he finally caught on and we finally paid our correct bill. It was a lot of unnecessary back and forth.

It's bright inside with lots of colourful murals. I ordered coffee, it was nice and strong, with milk arriving in a little skull pot! I decided to have a cod burrito, which I think would've been fine with a regular salsa but I ordered mole. That type of sauce is a little bit too overpowering for fish so I would recommend not to do that. It wasn't the fault of the restaurant though. The burrito was very good, filling and used cabbage with rice. The servers are all very friendly and helpful. I would visit this place again and maybe try it tostada or some of their other offerings.

Warm, buzzy, and genuinely welcoming from the moment you walk in. The enchiladas are my go-to, saucy and cheesy and full of flavour, I order them almost every time and they never miss. But truly everything here is great. The tacos are excellent across the board, the guacamole is fresh, the nachos come loaded, and you should absolutely save room for the churros because they're some of the best I've had. Portions are generous and the prices are more than reasonable for how much food you get. The margaritas don't disappoint either. It gets busy, especially on weekends, but the staff keep things moving and are lovely the whole way through. A proper hidden gem. I go whenever I'm downtown.

They have a pretty good indoor space that can fit a good amount of people. Their food and overall vibe was very authentic Mexican food. They gave us a bowl of chips when we sat which was nice. For mains I got their huarache de la casa, it was layered with tortillas (kind of like a cake of tortillas), carne asada, beans, lettuce, cream and cheese. It was cheesy and flavourful and super filling! I loved it! My friend got their gringa tacos which were on soft shells and pretty good as well. I would recommend this spot!

One of the most disappointing restaurant experiences we've had in Whistler…read more We arrived as a group of eight, and the employee who greeted us immediately appeared irritated that we needed to move two tables together. Instead of making us feel welcome, we were made to feel like we were inconveniencing the staff. After being seated, all eight of us waited for about 10 minutes because we had no idea this was a counter-service restaurant. No one checked on us or made any effort to ensure we understood how to order. When we finally asked another employee, we were told we needed to order at the counter. When we brought this up to the greeter, she claimed she had already explained it. If every person at the table missed the same instruction, the communication clearly wasn't effective. Rather than acknowledging the misunderstanding or offering a simple apology, she chose to defend herself. That response said everything about the level of customer service. At that point, I no longer felt comfortable ordering food. The rest of our group did order. The food was decent, but several orders came out incorrectly, adding to an already poor experience. To top it off, the music was so loud that holding a normal conversation was difficult. It felt more like a bar trying to be a nightclub than a restaurant where people come to enjoy a meal together. Good food can make people come back. Good service makes them want to. Unfortunately, this place delivered neither consistently enough for us to consider returning.

I ordered the Tinga Burrito, and my friend ordered a variety of tacos that he really enjoyed, but we both agreed the tacos and the drinks were pretty expensive. Though if your fine with water and getting a burrito or a bowl, both coming in around $19 then it's definitely worth a stop. Tinga Burrito: This is not a handheld burrito, it came covered in delicious sauce and needed to be eaten with a fork and knife. They provide what I believe is homemade hot sauces next to the water station, which really added even more to this dish. The burrito itself is close to mild but well seasoned. It was a big portion, I had leftovers even with being starved after our early morning hike. Good value.

We arrived around 7:45pm on a Saturday night and it was busy with a FIFA game on the TV. The staff were friendly and we got a table after they cleaned one for us. Really cute authentic Mexican joint run by friendly hard working Mexicans. Each table gets served complimentary chips with salsa, which was amazing. I asked how much to get an extra side of salsa and the waiter told me they don't sell it but for me, he'll get me another free side of salsa. My boyfriend ordered two soft tacos and I got the chicken enchiladas with green salsa plus a lingua (beef tongue) soft taco as I needed leftovers for lunch the next day. We also asked for waters and a grapefruit soda. The food arrived pretty quickly and I really enjoyed the rice, refried beans, and the chicken enchiladas. A lot of Mexican joints have dry chicken but the chicken here is juicy and flavourful. The beef lingua taco was okay - not outstanding but not bad. Their hot salsa and creama sauce were outstanding though - we asked for extra to take home with my enchiladas leftovers. One of the servers forgot our water, soda, and extra salsa but we managed to get it after awhile. He was extremely apologetic but no biggie. Great friendly service with solid food - this might be one of my favourite new spots in Surrey.
