This place is sooo underrated! The staff is super friendly! There's a lot of food options to choose from. I always get the birrai tacos because the meat is so soft and flavourful. The nachos are such a huge portion it's a great sharing app. The restaurant is fun and upbeat. It's also super authentic. It's my new favourite Mexican spot.

The food was amazing. Love the Baja fish tacos. It was so big and filing and FRESH - MOST IMPORTANTLY. The BIRRIA was very good too!! We were there on a Saturday nite and there was live entertainment which was so fun. The service was quick but after our food was served the wait staff never came back to check on us. So jr took awhile to get more water and get the bill but overall it was stil good and would definitely come back again for more.

Tacos de Arrachera

I ordered for delivery. Definitely on the authentic side, and the prices were slightly cheaper (about $4 per taco). The baja fish taco didn't look very pleasing but eating it was very tasty. The tacos de Arrachera, not sure if it would be softer fresh but it wasn't like complete jerky. I'd come again, maybe in person next time!

We really enjoyed the quite restaurant, there was ample seating and the staff were quite nice. They didn't have off the top recommendations for us about the food, but did let us know the fries were good, and I agree. The fries were actually my favourite part of the meal. The plantain used for the fried plantain was a little unripe, and not sweet, I think they could have been a little more creative with the sauce, and put something together that wasn't sour cream. We had the baja fish tacos, which I thought was sitting on some really delicious stuff, but the fish it's self was about 3cm in length at most and about 1 cm wide... smaller than my pinky I would say. I would expect that they could serve a piece of fish that was fresh, and not a fish stick out of a box. The wings had standard hot sauce and the honey garlic was the low quality corn syrup sauce that comes from a bottle, it was thick and and tasted sweet without any garlic. The fries really were the highlight of this dinner.

Honestly I ordered birria and quesadilla the taco consume was bland and the price is a complete rip off, service was slow as there was not much customers, the meat was tender, but the consume had no flavour, the ambiance was nice, but I will not come here ever, they don't know how to make birria tacos here.

Quesabirria

Came here on a Sunday evening after seeing yummy pics from my friends who recently visited. Located smack on the intersection of Birchmount/ Ellesmere; small parking lot at rear. It's quite spacious but a little empty on a Sunday night, which sometimes raised a concern to me. They have live music playing so its quite hard to hear what the servers were saying and ordering your food without yelling. We ordered quesabirria, fish taco, and camarones a la diabla. A little disappointed on each dish. Fish fillet was seared nicely on the taco but flavours were lacking in both quesabirria and the fish taco. The camarones a la diabla was served on a skillet (that's not really hot) with thickly cut chips on the side for dipping. Imagine a shrimp salsa with a freak ton of heat, and there's the dish! It was soooooooooooooo spicy... as if they just say screw it and dumped a whole bunch of jalapeno seeds in the sauce. Service was lacking, definitely need to improve... Ordered hot water as drinks, never came until we asked the 2nd times and cold water was brought to us instead. Asked for the bill and take-out box, waited almost 20 mins for it on a non-busy night. Definitely not worth the price for what you getting. Almost $15-17 per dish. The only price that was ok decent was the taco as you get 2 tacos for roughly $8.

I tried the new location of Mexitaco in Scarborough and enjoyed it overall. The staff were friendly. The ambiance was a bit low but I went late at night. It was hard to review this place but gave it a 4 star. It is more like a 3.75. I am Mexican so enjoy authentic food. The Tacos de Tinga had good flavour but strange texture. The Tacos de Carna Asada were very good but light on the beef. Overall tacos were very small. I also ordered the Bean and Cheese Quesadilla which was yummy. Overall I would come back here when I crave some Mexican food.

This place was very good. We came in they had a little showing of singing and dancing, the food was good. I liked the tacos. We had elotes which was actually on the cob, it was also very good. I enjoyed eating here. I would definitely go back, if not to this location then to another.

We used to go to their location at VP & St. Clair. So we're no stranger to their food :) This one is just much closer. It's a new location and spacious inside. Service: great! There were only 2 staff when we went on a Saturday afternoon, but service was efficient, fast and friendly. Food: Excellent! We ordered shrimp tacos and al pastor pork tacos. Their tacos are always solid and a must- get! Also tried the Machete de Carne Asada for the first time and we really liked it. It's a longer, lightly fried tortilla, with the meat inside and the onions on the outside. Really yummy! Lastly we got the Arrachera Platter, which is a flank steak with beans, grilled jalapeño , guacamole and 5 tortillas. Ohhhh weeee that grilled jalapeño is a nice touch to the dish! I want it on everything! Would order all of these again and can't wait to go back and try other items on their menu! If you like Mango Mojitos, theirs do not disappoint. I like to make them a double lol. Definitely coming back for more!

Queen Victoria Pub - Good vibes with live jazz band - good music

Queen Victoria Pub

I didn't go in myself, I dropped ma off for what she thought was karaoke on a Friday night. Turns…read moreout, it was jammy-oke, which, for those unfamiliar, is like karaoke but with a live band. Cool concept if you're into that, but it's definitely a different vibe than choosing a track from a catalog and singing along. From what I gathered, the band was friendly and offered an alternative when they didn't know the song my mom wanted to sing, but she opted out and left shortly after. No big deal. The place looked decent from the outside, kind of like the kind of pub you'd slip into for a pint and some low-key tunes. Later, I mentioned the experience during a karaoke chat somewhere else, and people who had been to Queen Victoria Pub spoke well of the jammy-oke setup. So, while it wasn't the right fit for my mom that night, others seem to enjoy it. Probably worth checking out if you're open to a more live-jam kind of karaoke scene.

So on a Friday night I suddenly fancied some Fish & Chips. But I am rather fussy about my fish. I…read moredo prefer halibut over haddock or cod. But as many know halibut is a premium fish. But I found this pub had halibut on the menu so I ordered two dinners plus a side (1 lbs) of wings. The food arrived hot and the fish was very good. The portion size was decent and the fries were still edible. I often find when ordered for home delivery fries seldom make the trip. I kind of wished more restaurants/ pubs vented their boxes so the fries did not get too soggy. I did find my order came with a generous portion of tartar sauce but they served white vinegar not malt. A bit of a faux pas here. I did find the wings a bit under done. I guess I prefer a bit of a crisp so I popped those in my air fryer for 5 minutes at 400 ° F. After that they made a tasty side.
