Not bad but not great either. Standard American-Mexican food. Nothing to write home about. If traveling would not recommend stopping unless you absolutely can't wait to go somewhere else. It was over OK. Would not go back. read more

I would not give four stars if Mexico Lindo was in San Antonio but for Glendive it wasn't bad. We were passing through on our return from a vacation in western Montana and spent the night in Glendive. We decided on take out because we had our dogs with us. On our previous layover in Glendive a week earlier we had Chinese takeout so we decided on Mexican this time. There aren't too many options in Glendive. We ordered up the usual suspects - tacos, enchiladas, etc. I had the carne asada which was pretty good. It was compromised of a couple of slices of thin, tough and flavorful skirt or flank steak plus refried beans, rice and guacamole as well as three flour tortillas. It was quite good. Everyone else in our group enjoyed their meals also except for the dogs who got their usual ration of kibble. If you are in Glendive, I would recommend Mexico Lindo. read more

We stayed in Glendive while traveling for work and called in a pickup order from Mexico Lindo. Our order was ready right on time when they said it would be, they were generous with tortillas and chips We got fajitas and tacos, both were delicious. I got an extra side of guacamole and it was delicious!! Definitely better than expected! Very tasty food, very friendly staff, and easy pickup ordering process. We will be back next time we're in Glendive! read more

Great food. But location is wrong on yelp. Make sure and look for the new location near the wagon wheel bar. Worth looking around for. Make sure and check it out read more

Well, this was a trip back to a 70's smoke filled bingo hall looking diner. Not very clean. The service never was, waited 15 min to even get water. Took another 15 to get a chance to order. Then close to an hour for our food when there was only 5 other tables with guests. The food was ok, ish. Not a place i would go ever again. read more

Mexico Lindo is simply the best place to eat in Glendive. Period. Full stop. The town has a dozen or so restaurants, but all are low quality and over-priced. ML is a bit pricey as well, but the food is outstanding. We love Mexican food and eat there a couple times a month. We have tried Mexican restaurants all over the country and ML is one of the best anywhere. I especially enjoy their traditional plate, which comes with 3 different enchiladas, a piece of carne asada, beans, and rice. Its about $20. Its amazing! Everything they make is delicious. When in Glendive, eat here! read more

Small town Mexican restaurant that's popular with the locals. When we first walked in it was mostly empty but it got real busy while we were there. Everyone seemed to know everyone at this place. Although there was nothing fancy about the restaurant itself the food was pretty good. I ordered two shredded beef enchiladas and one chicken enchilada. Both had a good flavor and the meat was tender and well prepared. Unfortunately my food was served barely warm, nearly cold, otherwise it would have been much better. Chips and salsa were good. The homemade salsa was fresh and had a good flavor. My like margarita was fine, but there was nothing special about it. Service was okay. We were greeted and seated promptly, but after getting our food our server never checked on us. We had to flag him down to finally get the check and pay. Not a bad experience all and all. If my food had been served hot and service had been better it would be a four star place. As it were three stars ranks this place pretty fairly in my opinion. read more

There aren't many restaurant options in Glendive, despite the Bakken boom. But, Mexico Lindo is clearly popular with the locals. We stopped in for lunch twice during our week here and were quite satisfied both times. I had a combo on the first day (chicken enchilada/chile relleno), and the Mexican pizza on the second day. The chicken on the MP wasn't great, so I might suggest trying the beef if you go for that option. The "crispy" relleno was interesting - a pepper perhaps wrapped in a bit of tortilla and deep fried. Not your traditional relleno, but actually very tasty. The salsas are nothing special - a kind of watery, typical red sauce and a second that was similar, but mixed with cabbage. It seemed like cole slaw in salsa. Not bad, not great. Service was quick and friendly. If I return to Glendive, I'd definitely stop back in. read more

Always consistent, fast and good. Enjoy the food and staff. If you want good Mexican stop here.

Fast and friendly service with great presentation. Could use some extra spice. Maybe the locals aren't into spicy.

Food was great and a lot of it. The chips and salsa were good. They give a different kind of salsa with cabbage in it but good. It took 45 mins for our food with a group of three people. read more

Maybe Mexico Lindo benefits from the expectations game, but I suspect it is pretty darn good on it's own merit. I had low expectations for Mexican food in eastern Montana, but I was very pleasantly surprised. I had two "smothered" burritos with shredded beef. True to name, it was smothered in cheese and sauce, and quite good. Portions were great, and the service was friendly. We were in a big group, and no one wasn't happy with their dish. Highly recommended if you're in Glendive. read more

Stopped in late to Glendive... Hungry and didn't want to mess around with too many stops, etc.. place isn't much to look at but I ordered the enchiladas (chicken) with rice/beans. Service... great. Speed to get my order.. excellent. Tasted real good. Enough for me to go back again without question. Thanks read more

Although it may look like a small, quiet place in a quiet town from the outside, I can assure that the food is flamboyant and as good as any place you can find in the city. For being one of the only places in town that you can find, it lives up to its responsibility with great food. Nice service as well! read more

My first visit, Ordered my old standby, "Tacos Al Carbon" and it was indeed tasty. The size of the plate was astonishing, I ate 1/3 and brought the rest home. Got ready to pay and I didn't have my wallet! First time in my life I ever actually sat down and ordered a meal without any money in my pocket. I sheepishly walked up to the counter, and told the server. I asked him, "what should I do, I know you don't know me." He smiled and asked, 'why don't you go home and get your wallet?' I asked, "do you want me to sign something or leave my phone with you?" He looked me up and down, then smiled again and said, 'I trust you amigo. Get your wallet." Wow. Yeah, he got a triple-tip. I've been back, with the family, more than once. Excellent food; excellent service; excellent people. read more

I stayed overnight down the street passing through and this place was recommended to me. After seeing the reviews I thought I'd try it out. There is no bar just tables with florescent lighting and brown paneling-everything is brown. I decided to get takeout so I ordered the a la cart chicken Chimichanga. It was bland, soggy and barely warm. Not my idea of good food. read more

Went here for dinner with some family member. I was actually quite surprised at the food we received. Being such a small town, you wouldn't expect to find such good Mexican food! I got the #14- 1 enchilada & 1 Burrito. They were both very good, and satisfying after a long travel day! The prices are great for the amount of food you receive! If you are in Glendive and need a good place to eat.. try this place! read more

There is something wrong between my husband and me and Glendive, Montana. First, we went to a Chinese restaurant that was allegedly open until 9. Closed. Then, we tried this place. Closed. On vacation. Will we ever get to eat? No website so we could check ahead of time. read more

Five stars on a sliding: make no mistake it's not the top of the Mountain, but it's wonderful casual food.

I'm from Texas. I know Mexican food. I've ordered the Enchiladas Chihuahua twice. I licked the plate clean both times. I will return.

Great place to eat. Usually my first choice of places to eat in Glendive. I Eat here all the time. Great food. Large helpings. Good atmosphere, clean and service is from Mexican descent waiters. You can order in Spanish or English. Very friendly staff. Vegetarian food is very good. I recommend the taco salad, Veggie burrito, veggie spinach burrito, and the veggie fajita's that are served on cast iron skillets. The spinach enchilada plate with rice and beans is good too. All are great choices. They serve two really good salsa dips and all you can eat chips. If your starving by lunch time and want a larger portion of food you can order a dinner size portion at lunch. Prices start around $9 for a plate. Great place to eat !!! read more

Tasty food that is well prepared in a very small town without many options. Service is adequate, but the atmosphere is very plain. Decor is almost none existent. read more

Mediocre, yet healthy Mexican food. The locals may prefer their food bland, so I shouldn't be too critical. One can always add drops of the bottled salsa picante on each table, or add some of the two different bowls of mild salsa provided (one made with cabbage!?!). I was excited when I saw the menu included "ranchero" beans as an option to high fat frijoles as well as mole and nopalitos (cactus). Clearly, one or more descendants of indigenous Americans run the kitchen. Certainly our waitstaff spoke Spanish and gave us the customary Mexican welcome and good service. (Yes, I admire Mexican cuisine and customs.) My chicken enchiladas with mole were bland, but the chicken was cooked nicely. The portion size was suitable for two meals. Because mole just means sauce, there are dozens of moles. Just like spaghetti sauce, they differ based on where the cook grew up. My favorite mole is made with unsweetened cocoa and enough chiles to give it some authority. Unfortunately the cook here went another way. Edible, filling, heathy, but BLAND! My husband had the huevos con nopalitos which tasted good, but either the eggs were turned too frequently in the pan or salsa was added too soon, because they came out with that unpleasant cottage cheese appearance. The portion size was more reasonable. This is a family-friendly restaurant with healthy options, great for travelers. read more

We agreed to eat here because of the reviews. I regret that I was swayed by that. The food was OK. We ordered chili Colorado and quesadilla fajitas. The chips and salsa was good. The food was hot but not impressive. I will say that I very well could be biased as I live in Texas and get AMAZING Mexican food frequently and I'm a huge fan of spicy. The service was in a word, bad. Our server was sweating bullets and wheezing like a band!!! He took our orders and we didn't see him again unless we literally yelled out for someone. Now it wasn't busy by any stretch of the imagination, us and 2 other tables with 3 or 4 people. So why such poor service?? I cannot say I won't try them out again to see if it was an off night but I'm not going to get my hopes up. read more

looking for a good place to eat and found excellence in the former of Mexican cuisine. This little restaurant caught us by surprise being in such a small town. the prices were fair and the portions were just right. it tasted way better then our normal trips to azteca. so if your in the mood for awesome food in walking distance from most hotels. max two mile walk, perfect for building an appetite there and digesting back read more

We stopped over night in Glendive and was looking for a place to have dinner. We saw this resturaunt online and it had some decent reviews. Our first thoughts were "how good could a Mexican resturaunt be in eastern Montana". Well we were pleasantly surprised. The salsa they served with the chips was to die for. It was made with cabbage and had a wonderful flavor. My wife kept trying to get the recipe from them. We both orderered combo plates and the food was very good. We both lived in California and Texas, so we know good Mexican food. The atmosphere was nice and the staff was very friendly. If you are ever in the area I recommend that you try this place. read more

I ate at Mexico Lindo this past week. The food was excellent, well seasoned in authentic taste. The staff was friendly and attentive!

Over the past several years, whenever I visit my cousin in Montana, she and her wonderful husband take me to Mexico Lindo. Terrific food (tamales, tacos and salads excellent) and service from great, friendly staff. I have experienced real Mexican food for many years, having worked in Ciudad Juarez, Saltillo and Monterrey and in Texas. This is authentic food make from the right ingredients, for sure. When I come back through this Spring, I'll surely request a visit to Mexico Lindo. Thanks, Wende! read more
