We love this place. The food is fabulous. The servers are very friendly and attentive. Meals are reasonably priced. I got the California Burrito ($16.95), which is my favorite. Hearty portions. Comes with plenty of rice and refried bean. We went on a Saturday evening around 6pm. Fairly crowded but no wait. Great atmosphere. Ample parking. We go here often. Highly recommend if you like Mexican food.

Broken up fish taco

This used to be our go to for Mexican but sadly all the food has gone downhill. Their queso is not smooth, creamy and spicy anymore it's just melted cheese. The fish taco was actually disgusting with a broken up piece of frozen fish and a TON of onions, the chicken taco was so dry it was inedible. There chicken used to be stewed with veggies but not any longer. And the drinks!! I hardly ever drink and usually 1 margarita gets me buzzed I had 2 and felt nothing, it was all juice. Everyone at my table ordered different drinks and not one drink tasted like there was any alcohol at all. We would have had better Mexican at Taco Bell. Like I said we have been going there for years but we will never go back with the food and drinks being that horrible. Taking recommendations for a better local Mexican place!

Remnants of the pork tamale. The tamale that once was.

So, after grocery shopping and refilling the cabinets and fridge, I realized it's TUESDAY, and I didn't grocery shop for tacos. Dumb, I know! I need to remedy this. I search Yelp and Google for local spots; I needed a place that closes late. I work until 8:30p, and most places close at 9 or 10. According to Yelp, they close at 10. According to Google, they close at 11. I took my chances, and am so glad I did. I ordered tacos (of course!), one chicken and one ground beef, with onions and cilantro. While I don't like making alterations (unless it's an allergy), they were able to accommodate, without issue. I love that. I also ordered sour cream and guacamole on the side. I personally like salty guac, so I would add salt, but it was definitely good as it was; adding salt is just my own personal preference. I also ordered a pork tamale, per Tino, who is the best bartender! I have to say, the tamale was my favorite, and believe me, it was a hard choice. EVERYTHING was so freaking good!! I also enjoyed two drinks, a Paloma and a gran gala, both delicious and well balanced. Not too sweet and not too strong; just good! Tino was able to advise me on the menu and all the options, leaving me confident about my order. I was given chips and salsa, complimentary, when I sat at the bar. I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Tony. He was humble and appreciative of my business. You do not get service combined with food, like this. Often times, something lacks; not here! 5 stars. I'll absolutely be back and not just on a Tuesday when the tacos are $2. I absolutely look forward to trying other items on the menu. So glad I took that chance!! Also, it's after 10p, they're still open, and someone just walked in. The only pic I have is of the tamale plate, I scraped!! Embarrassing, but here you go!

Had a wonderful time here celebrating a friends birthday. The staff was friendly and the food was great. The vibe was chill. Definitely recommend this place for a fun filled evening/night with the crew. If you're NOT to hungry, then share a platter. They are definitely big enough for two people.

Beautiful seating area!

Mexican Post is amazing. It is CRAZY that the stars are not much higher. I have been going to MP for 7 or 8 years and it has been consistently good. Tonight we tried the Sampler and the Burrito Yucatán and they were delicious. We shared a half pitcher of the house margaritas and they were delicious as always. The staff here is super friendly and fun, the food always hits the spot and the drinks are delicious and strong.

#10 combo. Burrito and enchilada with rice and beans. These are filled with ground beef.

This a good Mexican restaurant with a neighborhood feel to it. It's a little loud but overall ok. We both got #10 combo which is a burrito and enchilada served with rice and refried beans. Food was plentiful and good. Also got a side of queso and chips. Also very good. This is an odd review for me in the sense that I think this is a good option for Mexican food but just not for me. I always order my burritos and enchiladas with ground beef. Their ground beef was tasty and plentiful but way too spicy for me(yes I know it's a Mexican restaurant). Otherwise I would probably be a regular here. I did inquire to our waiter and he said "we tend to put jalapeños in everything ". So that's just the way it is. My wife said the shredded beef wasn't quite as bad, but I prefer ground beef. At $14.25 for the combo, it's pricier than El gran rodeo up the road a bit($12.25). It still was $35 for the two of us so no complaints here on the price cause I don't know where you can eat for that anymore. If you really like spicy then this is a good option.

"The Cancun where's my chicken" grilled in what honey mustard sauce? Tiny behind serving for $23.

Be careful. The menu looks like it has great titled food options. Like Oo that sounds yummy! However, Serving sizes are horribly portioned in comparison to the price and the rice....yall clearly made it with water and forgot to add any sort of a bouillon cube. The rice is completely tasteless. This is a photo of my husband's $23 Cancun chicken. Where's the rest of the chicken? And where did the mystery honey mustard sauce for the chicken go? I guess it's in the same place that the seasoning for the rice went. Not saying that the restaurant isn't clean or that the service isn't great. We won't be eating here again because of the lack of flavor and portion size for the price. But have fun trying it out! Go for it.

Tostada.

I had El Camino draft beer. Light, enjoyable. Portion sizes are big. Only one in our party got the entree, and half of that was for to go. Rest of us had couple of appetizer and they were sufficient for us. Chilli Relleno was delicious. What I liked was their attention to detail. We asked for quesadillas with jalapeños. They nicely integrated it in the filling, rather than just adding on top. Kudos to chef for such small detail. Will definitely visit again when we are in town.

We were nicely surprised with how delicious our recent dinner at Tex Mex Tequila was!…read more We stopped in on a Friday night and were quickly seated; I don't think the word is out about this place yet! The service was very friendly and efficient, with several different employees stopping to check in on us throughout the evening (without being overbearing). The complimentary chips and salsa were fantastic and clearly homemade. We ordered the guacamole as well (which came with another giant basket of chips), which I liked, though husband felt it was a little too lime-y. I ordered the pescado (fish) burrito, which was stuffed with rice, black beans, and fish and came with sour cream and pico de gallo on the side (would have preferred it already on there, but I guess they're trying to cater to pickier eaters?). I also added some of our guacamole for an overall delicious bite and a large enough serving that I was able to take half of it home. Husband ordered an al pastor burrito bowl, but wasn't a huge fan because of the texture of the meat. However, the bowl was otherwise quite sizeable and would likely be a great choice with a different meat. Also... the house margaritas are gigantic. We forgot to take a picture, but easily one of the largest margs I've ever gotten for $10 each. My husband tried the peach margarita, which was fresh and summery as well. Overall, would definitely go back! Happy to have a solid Mexican option on 202!
