Today my daughter & I stopped in for a lunch date. We each have been craving nachos & quesadilla's. They were well worth our lunch date choice. The staff was very pleasant as always, washing down booths between customers and mask wearing. Also had us sign our name & phone number for contact tracing. Restaurant was clean. Restrooms as well and the food was quick in coming and hot.

Once again.....excellent! They have mastered the Covet Curse. Unlike many restaurants since covet Mexicali never skipped a beat and prices did NOT go through the roof. Lotsa wait staff and friendly as always so service was A+. Our waitress was amazing. Be prepared to EAT BIG! Ohhh and be sure to have desert!

This is the best place for Mexican food in all of New England. I am from Texas and this is as close to authentic Tex-Mex as you can get. The service is fantastic and the owners are super friendly. I highly recommend their tableside guacamole and you must I repeat you must have the El Presidente. The best margarita around. You will be sitting at home craving one.

My dinner! Seafood enchiladas (on blue plate).

Been here many times and until they give me reason not to, I will continue to be coming back! That being said-- Tonight's trip to the establishment went well. Arrived there with my parents and my daughter in her car seat. They sat us a a booth that was a little too small, but we made it work. Our server was very friendly and engaged all of us, including the baby which I appreciated. Chips and salsa is always welcomed. I ordered the seafood enchiladas and they were quite good. However, I did not know they came with mushrooms inside them as well and I haaaate shrooms. But I managed. The only other thing too is that (yes I realize they're SEAFOOD enchiladas) they tasted very fishy. Almost weirdly too fishy. But they were yummy and I ate them. Will absolutely be back, never had a bad experience here!

(Richard Thompson) No doubt, our always perceptive Yelpers have figured out the link between Condesa and the lyrics - Condesa = Contessa in Spanish. Condesa has four locations in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. The Sturbridge location is on the extreme left side of a big shopping plaza -look for the Shaw's Market and Ocean State Job Lot. The first thing you'll notice when you walk inside is the Día de (los) Muertos (Day of the Dead) artwork pretty much everywhere on the walls. They have two indoor dining rooms and a covered outdoors dining area, where we had our lunch on a beautiful summer day. Our server Moises was polite and friendly and started us off with a big portion of complimentary ships and salsa. The chips were fresh and still warm and the mildly spiced salsa was excellent. Our lunch was a TACO SALAD ($14) described on the menu as "Grilled chicken, mixed greens, fire roasted corn, Pico de Gallo, cilantro vinaigrette, queso fresco, and tortilla strips". It was served in one of those ubiquitous fried tortilla shells which I would have declined had I known it. I passed on the vinaigrette in favor of that great salsa for my dressing, and declined the queso, and tortilla strips. The grilled chicken was absolutely fantastic. It was pounded so thin, it had ended up being about the same size as the bowl it was served in. And whatever they used to season it was wonderful! Under that blanket of chicken were fresh greens, and a few sprinkles of corn and Pico. Adding their salsa as a dressing made it a winner of a meal. My wife ordered their CHICKEN QUESADILLA ($14). The four big wedges had a generous portion of grilled chicken and cheese, topped with sour cream, queso fresco, and Pico de Gallo. I sampled a forkful and loved the flavor and noticed a pretty generous layer of cheese in with the chicken. My club soda with two lemon wedges was $3. Service from Moises was OK, he was super pleasant when we interacted with us and when we asked for a water and salsa refill. All in all, our $33 after tax-before tip lunch was perfectly fine.

The place is huge, on point cultural music (albeit loud- I'm old I like quieter) and the queer o meter is a perfect 10. Most excellent. The complimentary chips n salad were delicious. Thin, warm and lightly salted with just enough heat to the salsa and nice flavor. The rest is pretty straightforward- a chicken quesadilla that was jammed with cheese. It oozed out of the sides. And a steak fajita - both were very very good. The fajita had a great flavor, hot and piled high with peppers and onions. The steak slices were tender and delicious too - I will put out there that might be the only "con" it, in my opinion, could've done with 3 or 4 more slices of steak. However there is an epic amount of the peppers and onion which I 100% appreciate. Our waitress was so friendly and top notch. Accommodating and available without hovering. Food was delicious, service wonderful and atmosphere comfortable (sans loud music ha ha) The prices seem to be higher than other Mexican places - ie. The fajita was $21 and usually I'd venture to say that's the shrimp or combo cost, not steak or chicken. So overall they are about $3 higher. In the end I was fine with that bc it's really good and I would go back! Thank you El Patron Corona!! Cheers!

Mom and pop style restaurant, definitely not a chain, this is all they currently operate. Been there 5 times in 4 years, they formerly used to have references to another location but no longer. Service is mostly counter sales but they have tables and a counter and will bring your order to you. I never order via any online apps, so no experience there. It seems to be a chain, so i doubt any feedback will go anywhere. 1. THeir PSTN phone (land) line did not work at all from a cellular call (repeatedly) -- i thought the business had closed. From a landline, it had multiple issues: (a) several attempts it rang once(half-ring) and beeped/hung up; (b) when i finally did connect, she couldn't hear me 2. The chownow app that is integrated within their squarespace website is awful. THere were multiple issues: (a) the dropdown menu radio button selections were forced choice [not labeled as "required"], and if the choices didn't quite fit, you had to explain in the Special Instructions <textarea> field. But that field was limited to 200 chars. which was far from sufficient with the order details we needed to convey for our items. Why would they have such a limitation?! (b) once i got to the checkout, all of a sudden, it gave an error and threw me out: "Menu timeout" - whoever came up with that?! (c) i had to re enter everything again, this time abbreviating all the special instructions to fit within 200 chars. (d) most ordering apps will text you when the order is ready for pickup, this did not. Does anyone in their company test their systems? DOes anyone care? The chips were thin and warm, which I really enjoyed. The salsa was not hot and had a nice hint of garlic. My burrito was served with a healthy serving of guacamole and sour cream, Mexican rice, and black beans. I loved that the beans were not overly salty and everything was well-spiced. The tortilla was thin, which I enjoyed, and was packed with peppers, onions, steak and cheese. My spouse's quesadilla was filling and well proportioned with cheese, peppers, chicken and onions.
