    Chips and guacamole

They have a Sunday brunch menu (different from the regular menu), with brunchy options that sound delicious, but when you're hankering' for tacos, nothing else will do. Still, watching other plates come out of the kitchen, you can't go wrong. I love the fish taco and bc I like it spicy, I order extra sauce. The slightly sweet coleslaw is a lovely balance to the heat. Our table also ordered shrimp tacos, (same sauce) and equally delightful. The asparagus taco, was good, but not on par with the seafood. The chips and guac were great. So good, my 98 yo neighbor, who we brought with us this trip, wanted to take it home. I thought she wanted the leftovers - as there was plenty - but she wanted her own order, which I only discovered after I paid. They gave it to her. That's the caliber of kind and lovely people the owners are. They know I'm there regularly and said we've got this. Incredible.

Nacho Appetizer Plate--more than enough for a single person, and the people beside me saw this and each got one themselves!

3 Amigos feels like an event space, where each day the dining tables are cleaned, the space is swept and wiped, the bar is lit with the music, and the kitchen is clean and cooking. When I arrived on the odd day they open early for lunch--not breakfast!--I was treated to a warmth and attention that I found personal. 3 Amigos has a robust menu, so consider truly interesting meal ideas for those of you familiar with the meals represented. Since I am familiar with Latin food, I was able to see Chilean options in a menu for the first time I can recall, alongside Puerto Rican and Mexican dishes. Here is why to pay attention: With just a side of their beans and rice, you start at an appetizing meal as the most humble of menu options with a connection to their story. Turn to their featured entrees and see seafood, steak, and chicken if you want seasonings and herbs to match. The kind of intentionality I found in their choices and cuisine left me feeling their consideration would continue to their liquor, dessert, and apertifs. No, I wasn't about to enjoy Churro Ice Cream, despite the enticing dessert, yet in an evening I bet I could have more advisement on what would fit my meal. Even other details of my full experience might have staff who can help guide and teach beyond how they came to the Mill District to serve this international and tantalizing connection. Even my eyes feasted upon the art and artifacts brought to 3 Amigos. This restaurant left me feeling like they have a long night life, with music and conversation, and a quiet morning on early lunch days. From what I gather, they have brunch on weekends. Take a look at their hours to see 3 Amigos is open, I would not want you to taste my first disappointment in timing!

The decor of this relatively new space is quite nice, with a modern design of wood shiplap, concrete tables, and Mexican themed artwork scattered throughout. Unfortunately, the food was overall disappointing. I wanted an entree for lunch, but they don't offer them until 4:00pm. Oh well. So I tried the 3-taco platter...1) their pastor taco had barely any filling, 2) the carne asada was decent (though the meat was well done), and 3) the birria taco with consommé was by far the most flavorful. The tacos were all single corn tortillas and easily fell apart. Ironically, I didn't order the birria, I ordered the fluffy taco but they brought me the wrong one. Perhaps a fortuitous mistake. The side of rice and beans was fine, but it was served room temperature. I'm used to most Mexican restaurants serving food on hot plates. The a la diabla burger sounded delicious, but the thin burger patty was overcooked and dry (despite ordering medium rare, it was well done) and it was missing the bacon included in the description. That was particularly annoying since they charged extra for cheese. It also is served a la carte...no fries, chips, tostones...nada. In this rural part of Massachusetts, this may be a welcome addition to the food scene, but those accustomed to delicious, authentic, flavorful Mexican food will likely be let down.

We really enjoyed our visit. From the appetizers to the meal, the service and the ambience. Everything was tasty and we'd definitely visit again if in the area. The guacamole was fresh, and the house sauces complemented everything very well. Love the fusion of different Latino cuisine. The white rice with the Cochinita Pibil al Plato was perfect!

Had brunch here for the first time recently. The decor was nice and welcoming. Our waiter was attentive and got our orders correct. My breakfast with eggs and chorizo was phenomenal! My husband got a 3 taco plate and really enjoyed them all. Can't wait to go back again soon.

Cool vibes. Frida gazes down upon us beneficently.

This place is awesome. The staff is so friendly, and the food is amazing. It's become our go-to weekend breakfast place. My wife and I happen to both be vegetarian, and they are more than accommodating here. I got the sopes (not listed on the menu as vegetarian on the menu) and they hooked me up. SO GOOD. The menu is varied -- they have both Latin American and America (US) style options. I've seen lots of kids here chomping away, good spot for families Come support this place, you won't regret it.

The remains of my pastele....it wasn't on the menu, but I was happy to eat it!!!!

It is time for you to have some FOMO. The first Monday in July has passed. You have three more opportunities to try the special Puerto Rican menu at 3 Amigos. Personally, I am hoping that some of the options become permanent menu features. First, I loved the Queso Frito. Generous chunks of fried cheese in a tangy sauce. This is poutine's sweet and tangy cousin (don't come for me Canadians...I said cousin). We also had the El Surtido plate...the alcupurria was crispy on the outside, tasty on the inside. The tostones had an extra layer of flavor with little flashes of diced garlic. These tostones were the best I've ever had, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. So good! Somehow a pair of pasteles appeared (I've only had them at Christmas) and I was counting my blessings! The pastelillo looked delicious and was instantly inhaled by my not gf companion who made happy noises while gobbling it up. For my main course I had the mofungo relleno with shrimp. What an amazing mix of textures, colors and flavors! Please, please, please: add this to the menu permanently. I hope I can make it to one more Monday and try out more of the specials. You should try to taste them before they're gone!

    Tacos

This place should be full. We went on taco Tuesday and got a variety of tacos. We loved both pork tacos (carnitas and al pastor) the steak one was also good- my only critique is I would have liked more seasoning on the beef. We loved the rice and refried beans and the coconut mojito was so good. We enjoyed the trio of salsas as well- all so fresh and well seasoned. The waiter was super pleasant and the food came quick. The place was cute and I love the mural on the wall.

My whole household regularly went for breakfast/brunch to Cisco's Cafe that used to be in this same location. When they closed we were pleased to hear that the new folks running it were keeping some of the menu and keeping the weekend brunch hours! They have done a beautiful job redecorating the place inside. We have been twice now and the staff and owner have been extremely nice and helpful. They are still getting started and figuring everything out but the food is honestly excellent. Both times we went we got bottomless coffees and delicious Latin breakfast specials. We also tried a few of their mocktails (Spicy Jamaica and mojito), all very good. They are currently BYOB but the owner says they should have a full liquor license in 1-2 months with cocktails, etc. We also tried the Birria tacos and were definitely pleased with those! Excited to go back for chorizo breakfast burritos as grab and go on my way to work some days. (We were apparently too excited to eat the food to remember to take photos of it. Sorry!)

Chile en Nogada with tacos in the background

Had a delicious dinner at 3 Amigos last weekend! I had two tacos and the arroz amposteado and my husband had the chile in nogada, which was a stuffed poblano smothered in a well-spiced cream sauce. We finished the meal with a tres leches cake that disappeared quickly! Service was friendly and attentive, and the space was much the same from when it was Cisco's. I look forward to trying more of the menu!

There are a ton of holes in the wall that looks like someone had the intention of repairing and painting over and then just lost interest. Food? Looked really promising!! Burritos were pretty massive so I was pretty excited. They come out looking good, well prepared as far as the tortilla isn't coming apart. They did a good job putting together a burrito that wouldn't fall apart. But that's it. The rice is prepackaged, stale, fake yellow rice that has a weird, off putting flavor, I got carnitas and my wife got carne asada, neither tasted like anything at all. The carnitas ( a slow roasted pork ) honestly tasted like a pork tenderloin that had been thrown in a crock pot with zero seasoning. The bits in my burrito were grey and honestly off putting. I had really high hopes. Went out of my way because I have heard pretty decent things about this place. Saying I was underwhelmed is about as complimentary as I can be.

They are a nice sized portion and layered so that every bite has great homemade tortillas and a full pile of toppings. There isn't any melted cheese and that's a GOOD thing! While I love cheese, this makes for a more flavorful experience without the oil. One of our close friends from NYC is eager to come here wherever she's in town just for those nachos! I don't drink, but most of the people we bring here do and they always appreciate Medusa's extensive beer selection.
