My wife and I have been meaning to stop by this restaurant. We swung by for a late lunch and were thrilled with our food. One ordered from the "Specials" list. 1 Curry Goat, and one item from the Entree list, Waakye (wha'-Che). The goat was tender, flavorful with atypical spice combination relative to the typical homogeneous food outlet offerings in the quiet corner of CT and Webster, MA area. The Waakye is a combination plate of Ghanaian beef stew, a great rice, spaghetti(!) a hard boiled egg (whole), and a small portion of firmly fried, bone-in piece of fish! We both appreciated the big flavor profile of both dishes. This does not mean they were peppery "hot". (If you can enjoy medium store-bought salsa, you will love these dishes.) We are looking forward to trying the many other dishes in the near future. We can't speak to the eclectic inclusion of the Mexican side of their menu...not yet any way. The two women working were helpful and generous with their time. The tables and chairs are simple, pedestrian and sufficient. You are there to enjoy and experience the food and the understated welcome of the busy women doing everything fresh. read more

Less than 5 stars would be a crime against this small place that transports you to exotic flavortown. The proprietor, Eunice, has done a phenomenal job establishing the brand decor from the moment you walk in. Vibrant colors and smells greet you. If she is working, take the time to chat. She is a young adult with a world of intrigue. Her passion for cooking is what led her to 'give back to the community', as she put it. And give back she does! I've been on several occasions and not once been disappointed. My go to is the goat stew with jollof rice. However, there are many other delicious options and some I have yet to try. What a hidden gem! I've gone here twice and I can't even express the burst of flavor this food has! Everything is homemade and so fresh and seasoned so perfectly! I need to go back and just order everything! Both times I've gotten the Birria tacos with my co workers and there insane! They epaxked with tasty, tender juicy meat and the juice! Their birrio tacos are out of this world. 3 of them, very filling. I cant resist fried plantains. These folks know how to cook. Small place, but dont let that deter you. They have about 6 tables. Delicious. I had steak tacos which is 3 stuffed taco shells, they put cheese between 2 corn tortillas, just 2 were extremely filling. My husband had grilled salmon and vegetable stir fry, he's said it was excellent. We also had an order of plantains. Everything was delicious, beautifully plated, and piping hot. We took home a taco and some of the plantains. The wait for the food was a little long, there was only one person cooking, but it was worth the wait. The gentleman who cooked and served us was very friendly and polite. It is a small place, less than a dozen tables. The choice of beverages is limited, for lunch that was okay. Wow wow wow! This place was such a great find for my road trip out to Webster! You walk in and all you can smell is the delicious food being cooked in the kitchen - so fragrant! We sat down and somebody came over to give us their recommendations since it was our first time there. We decided on the jollof rice with beef and the Birria tacos. I will travel down to Webster again just to eat at this location. The food came out within reasonable time and we're super hot. Everything was delicious - my table tried each others food and everybody liked everything. Just look at these photos! Afro Fusion opened recently in Webster. They offer a variety of meat/seafood & rice dishes, tacos, mussels, wings (chicken & turkey), desserts, and cold drinks. I stopped by here for dinner takeout recently.  I was told they ran out of tacos and coconut rice & beans, which is what I originally was going to order. I decided on the Jollof Rice with Fried Chicken, but I requested veggie stir fry instead of the boiled egg & cole slaw, which was obliged. My food was prepared to order in the open kitchen as I waited in the dining area. My food was hot & ready to go in under 10 minutes. The freshly prepared food had 2 large drumsticks which a crunchy tasty coating and juicy chicken on the bone, served with stir fry veggies of peppers and onions, plantain slices over spicy soft jollof rice. The food was spicy in taste and delish overall. There was enough food for two meals as I enjoyed my food and a nice warm evening outside. I will definitely return again so I can hopefully try their birria tacos and the coconut rice dish with the salmon. read more

We found this wonderful establishment randomly on a trip down to CT. The food was absolutely amazing. We had the shrimp and steak tacos (very flavorful, corn tortillas melted together with cheese), fries (just the right amount of crisp), and Jamaican beef patty. The place was very well kept and clean, great ambiance. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, she was so nice and took the time to chat with us! I had seen the place every day while driving by and always meant to stop by - finally got there the other day. Wishing I had done so sooner. This place has amazing food. Have since tried a few dishes including the birria tacos, the jollof rice, and fried chicken to name a few. Everything I have tried has been fresh and delicious. This hands down beats the other typical lunch spots available to those of us that work in the area. For the most part, the options were previously mediocre at best. It is an amazing addition to Webster food scene such as it is.The flavor on the tacos was great, and they were really stuffed with meat, no skimping here, and topped with fresh herbs, and all were handmade fresh. The fried chicken had a wonderfully crispy coating and were perfectly fried. And they came out steaming hot so no waiting around under a heater. Overall, a fantastic addition to the Webster area and a true change of pace. I will definitely be a regular there! read more
